Chapter Thirty: No, Maybe, Yes, Wait No...

“W-Where am I?” I wondered as I looked around. I saw Kuori over by Taisuke and I ran over there. “Kuori? What’s going on?” He didn’t turn. “Kuori?”

“Who?” He asked as he turned.

“Um, Kuori?”

“Juliet what’s wrong with you?”

“R-Romeo?” I stuttered. What?

“Do you feel ok love?” I blushed deeply.

“W-What?” He put his hand on my forehead. He hugged me and I leaned against him.

“What’s wrong?” He asked. I shook my head. I looked over his shoulder and saw Taisuke with a sword, ready to plunge it into Kuori’s back.

“NO TAISUKE!” I screamed. I opened my eyes and shot up in bed. I looked around. It, it was just a dream.

“Well hello sleeping beauty.” I jumped and looked over and saw Zero sitting on my window sill. I opened my mouth but he covered my mouth. “You might not want to do unless you want your precious Taisuke to come running over here and sweep you off your feet.”

“W-What are you doing here?” I asked after he removed his hand. I was scared senseless.

“I have an offer that you probably shouldn’t refuse.”

“I’m going to call the police.” I threatened.

“Then do it.” He continued to eye me with a smirk on his face.

“Why are you here; get out of my house.” I glared.

“I thought that you were going to call the police.” He said smartly.

“I-I…” Damn it. I looked away, not knowing what to do. He kinda trapped me on my bed and leaned close to me.

“Go on a date with me.”

“Are you crazy?”

"No...well maybe...probably slightly."

“Absolutely not!” I hissed.

"Come on it wouldn't be that bad."

“I don’t do bad boys.”

"I'm not bad just mysterious."

“Funny, I was always taught stealing was bad.” I looked into his eyes and didn’t know why, but I shivered.

"Funny, I actually have a good reason as to why I steal." He got closer to me.

“W-Why’s that?” My face was heating up again.

"If you go on a date with me I'll probably tell you." He answered.

“I-I can’t.” I moved my eyes away.

"And why not?" He asked.

“I, um…” I couldn’t think straight.

"Go on a date with me, it won't be that bad. I'll make sure that no one recognizes me." He said. I looked at him again and leaned forward. "Will you?"

“Why me?” I whispered in his ear.

"Because you're different from other girls." He whispered. My heart was beating fast. I touched his arms. I wanted to say yes, but…

“I-I don’t know, after all, I am trying to catch you.” I closed my eyes.

"Get to know me then." I felt him move a hair out of my face

"Why am I so attracted to you?" I shook my head.

"That's a good question." He said and got closer "Maybe you'll find your answer on Saturday."

"Well, maybe I would say yes if you got a bit closer to me."

"So Saturday at 7?" He whispered inches away from my face.

"Closer." I whispered.

"Really? I'm sure if I get any closer I'll end up kissing you." He mentioned.

"Would you?"

"If you would let me." He whispered getting centimeters away from me. My face was burning up.

"Please." I breathed. He kissed me lightly. I pushed forward a little and touched his hand with mine. He pulled away.

"Will you go on a date with me?" He asked.

"Yes now kiss me!"

"I thought that you were trying capture me?"

"I, I..." I stammered. He kissed me again.

"I'll see you on Saturday." He said and got up off my bed and went back towards my window.

"Z-Zero?" I asked.

"What is it?" He asked placing a foot on the window ceil and looking back at me. I looked away.

"You're a good kisser."

"So are you." He smiled then jumped out the window. I sat there and looked at my open window. I touched my lips and closed my eyes. What have I done? I can’t believe I just did that. I completely fell for what he did. I opened my eyes and got up and paced.

“Why was I like puddy in his hands?” I asked myself. “How can he be that seductive that he completely erases what I plan on doing? Why is he doing this to me and no one else?!” I sat back down and got angry with myself. “I can’t believe I fell for that, would I do that with any guy if they did that to me?” My mind flew to Kuori and what he did earlier. We had almost kissed, and I would have let that happen. I blushed and shook my head. “No no no no why am I thinking about this? He’s my best friend, what’s wrong with me?” I didn’t like him, did I? What if I did? That would be weird, and he doesn’t like me that way so all I would end up doing would be breaking my own heart. I liked being with him obviously, and even though he sometimes said things that hurt, he usually came back and apologized, but in a way that wasn’t just constantly ‘I’m sorry I’m sorry’. It was like what he did before, and calmed me down. I laid back down and stared at the ceiling. “Maybe, I do like him. But, I like Zero too. I guess.” I decided to just come to terms with it. I couldn’t deny it, I would only be lying to myself. I eventually fell asleep after another hour of staring at the ceiling.

I walked to school with Kuori, as usual. “You look tired.” He stated.

“Nah, I’m fine.” I shrugged.

“I can’t wait for this week to be over with.” He said.

“Why?” I asked.

“Because then it’s the weekend, duh!” He laughed.

“Right, yeah.” I laughed nervously.

“So whatcha doing Saturday night?” He asked. “Wanna do something?”

“Um, maybe.” I said.

“What was that maybe for?” He looked at me curious.

“I don’t know if I’ll be busy or not.” I said.

“Oh, alright then.” He smiled and I yawned. “What is with you and not getting any sleep?” He asked. I shrugged. “Am I going to have to massage you again?” I blushed and shook my head. “You didn’t like it?” He asked. I looked up at him and he laughed. “I was just kidding, loosen up, things will be just fine.” He reassured me.

“Yeah.” I looked at him and smiled. He messed my hair up.

The rest of the week went by, and I decided I wasn’t going to go on Saturday. Zero completely tricked me, more like used his sexiness to cloud my judgment. I stayed with Kuori all Saturday, screwing around and having fun. I said I was going to go home, and he gave me a quick hug. “I’m sorry, but I’m going to finish homework, so is it ok if I stayed here?” He asked. I smiled.

“Yea, no problem, see you tomorrow.” I smiled. He bowed and took my hand. I laughed.

“Till tomorrow dear Juliet.” He kissed my hand and I blushed. He laughed and walked me out the door and waved to me. I waved and headed home. Suddenly I felt arms around my waist and I yelled a little.

“Hey, it’s just me…” I heard Zero. He turned me around and I pushed him away.

“I’m not going anywhere with you.” I said stubbornly.

“Oh yes you are.” He smirked.

“No.”

“You’re parents think you’re at the blond kids house. They won’t bother you or ask where you are.”

“H-How did you-“

“I made them think you were going to be with him on a date.”

“WHAT?!” I yelled. He just stood there, looking smug.

“You don’t know his name, so you’re lying…” I couldn’t believe that he would semi threaten me.

“Hmm, what was it again? Let me think…Ku, something…Oh that’s right, Kuori.” I raised my hand to slap him, but he grabbed my hand.

“Don’t you dare go near him!” I hissed.

“Go on a date with me.”

“If I do, do you promise not to hurt or go after him?”

“Sure, why not?” He shrugged.

“F-Fine. I’ll go.”

“Perfect!” He took my hand in his. “Come on dearest.”

“Don’t call me that.” I muttered

“Sweetie?”

“No.”

“Babe?”

“No.” I knew I was blushing. He leaned over and whispered in my ear.

“Sexy?” I tripped. He caught me and pulled me back up. “Alright, we’ll go with that one.” I kept my mouth shut. “First stop, food.” We stopped in front of Olive Garden. “You do like Italian, right? Wait, don’t answer that, it’s your favorite right?”

“Stop that.” I glared.

“What?”

“How do you know so much about me?”

“I have my resources.” He held the door open for me. I continued to glare as I walked in. We were both seated and we ordered what we wanted. “So, tell me something about you I don’t know.”

“I just had to go on this date, you never said I had to talk.” I stated.

“Oh really?” He said. I sipped on my drink
