Episode 1
Underappreciated
(Channel 18: The story of two interns that are stuck in the lowest of low news channel, and their rise to fame. They do anything and everything for a source. Channel 18 also has some of the best people there are in Ameyawa).
“We are here.” Yuki said as the elevator reached the 106 floor of the Shinta Complex. (The Shinta Complex houses many buildings and daycares and also shops. Channel 18 uses floors 106 and 107. Floor 106 is the living quarters for everyone; Channel 18 shows news for 24 hours. Floor 107, top floor, is where the news is recorded). Floor 108 is used being used by a popular tabloid magazine,
Akira ran to his as fast as he could. He was still shocked about the name of Yuri’s show. He rounded a corner and before he knew it he was on the ground.
“Damnit.” he said. He looked up and saw a Bichon Frise growling at him. “Who the hell let this mutt inside.” He slowly got up ignoring the dogs growling.
“HE IS NOT A MUTT!” A voice boomed. He turned his head and saw a man walking towards the dog. He scooped it up in his arms. He had scarlet colored hair and piercing blue eyes. “You must be that intern Akira, you have a lot of nerve picking on Fresh.?” he said, the dog still growling at Akira.
“And who the hell are you?” Akira asked brushing himself.
“My name is Kai, your boss, and you have now made an enemy” Kai said glaring at Akira. Akira’s eyes started to swell. Kai walked away with his nose in the air.
“What the hell is up with my eyes?” Akira asked rubbing them.
“Kai just gave you one of his patented death glares.” Yuri said running to him.
“Excuse me!” Akira said looking behind him at Yuri.
“It is an intimidation technique” Yuri said getting some eye drops from his pocket. “What did you do to piss him off?”
“I must have tripped over that damn dog” Akira said putting the eye drops in his eyes.
“That must be why.”
“Whats up with that dog?” Akira asked handing Yuri the eye drops back.
“You will find out sooner or later. Come on Akira” he said holding his hand to help him up. “We have a meeting to go to.”
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- “Hello everybody” Kai said “Glad to see Yuri and Tennosuke in our presence again. We are almost complete.”
“There are still more freaks. I have met enough.” Akira whispered to Mine.
“AKIRA” Kai bellowed “DO YOU HAVE ANYTHING TO SAY?”
“No sir!” Akira yelled standing up.
