Chero closed her eyes to think, “Let’s see…It all happened shortly before the Host Club meeting in the fanroom…I heard the rumors about the mansion from a post on tumblr….That is when the hands of the clock started moving…”
“I think this is my cue to hang up for now!” Luna said, “Call us later, ok? Check in! And Cherrios? Good luck.”
“Thank you…Luna…” Chero said.
The phone was hung up so Chero could continue talking.
“Well…now…er…Where should I start? What do you want to know?” Chero asked.
“This is not the first time we have been here, is it?” Hime asked.
“I was also wondering that….Jenny said we have gone through this many times,” Mocha said.
Chero closed her eyes, “Yeah…We’ve gone through this several times…ever since we came here the first time from the fanroom.”
“I knew it!” Jenny cheered, “So…Um…What happened here the first time?”
“How this started….Ok. I can do that!” Chero said.
Chero mused to herself, “Before we had the meeting in the fanroom…I was off checking my email and tumblr. It was there I saw the message someone reblogged about a haunted mansion. I thought it sounded interesting…So I told Jenny!”
“No different than what we already know,” Danni said.
“Yeah…But the first time we all came in one group…instead of two separate groups…” Chero said, “Well…minus Tsukino and Master Leon…”
“This is really the first time that Leonides and I have been here…” Tsukino said.
“We were going to have fun…and then we were going to go home soon…We opened the doors and came in…But…as you know…there was that monster inside…”
Chero sighed, “We all ran in different directions and I got lost from everyone…I was so scared…and I did not know what was happening…I wanted to find someone as quickly as possible…After walking around for a while…I found Hime. I was really happy, but she had just been beaten the enemy. It was so strange…because Hime was not healing like she normally would… I healed her of course…which used up almost all of my magic.”
Chero shivered, “It was weird…I had forgotten that Hime had come with us…like there was a gap in my memory…But I found her…and we traveled together…But…one by one…Dante, Danni, Francis, Jenny….Kiki and Mocha…all were killed….I wanted to heal them…I wanted to heal all of them…but my mana was gone…”
“Wait!” Danni said, “Dante can’t die, his demon blood prevents that.”
“Ah…well…from what I figure…the mansion turns us all into normal humans, which is why my powers are weak…Mocha’s hat malfunctions…and Kiki’s watch messes up…
Anyways…By the time…I was able to escape…Hime…and Dino…were also killed…and…I was the only one alive…”
Dino reached over and took Chero’s hand.
“I was supposed to get out…but…I felt too hopeless…I just wandered around the
mansion without knowing what to do, and before I knew it…I was in the library.
That’s when I found this book.”
Chero took out an old worn book from her skirt pocket.
“That’s the Bible you’ve been carrying around all along, isn’t it?” Kiki asked.
“Yeah, it kinda looks like a Bible…But it is actually a journal! When I opened it, it had the name of the previous owner in it.”
“It said, Feliciano Vargas right?” Hime asked.
“Feliciciano?!” Francis cried, furrowing his eyebrows, “But how? That’s not possible…Isn’t that…?”
“Italy….right…Everyone had died right before my eyes…and I was all alone…By then I was not really thinking straight anymore…That’s where my memories get fuzzy…I was going to throw this book away too, but the monster showed up. I unconsciously ran away from it with the book still in my hand…
And at last…I got out….I was alone…”
