Ouran High School Host Club-HanakoAnimeaddict

Title: Ouran High School Host Club

Alternate Names: Abbreviated to OHSHC.

Author: Bisco Hatori

Length: 80 chapters+

Genre: Drama, Romance, Comedy

Plot Summary:

Haruhi Fujioka is a scholarship student at the prestigious Ouran Academy, a fictional high school located in Bunkyō, Tokyo. Looking for a quiet place to study, Haruhi stumbles upon the Third Music Room, a place where the Ouran Academy Host Club, a group of six male students, gathers to entertain female "clients". During their first meeting, Haruhi accidentally knocks over and breaks an antique vase valued at ¥8,000,000 (US$80,000 in English manga) and is told to repay the cost in service to the club. Haruhi's short hair, slouching attire and gender-ambiguous look causes her to be mistaken by the hosts for a male student. The hosts all agree that Haruhi would be a good host, thus making her join the host club. Ultimately she agrees to join the Club as a host herself (dressed as a male) in order to pay off her debt.[2] She agrees to join since she does not mind hosting as long as she can pay the debt off faster. The Ouran Private Academy encompasses kindergarten to twelfth grade (along with a university as well). Most students come from wealthy families, but in special cases, merit scholarships are granted to exceptional students from a lower income bracket. The school's unofficial motto is "Lineage counts first, wealth a close second," meaning students with stellar family backgrounds are given top priority over those from rich families but low socioeconomic status.

Personal Opinion:
I have to say it's easier to watch the anime than read the manga, but the manga is longer and goes beyond the anime. Like, for example: Hikaru dyes his hair a black-ish color. Kaoru goes on a date with Haruhi, and tells her he gives her up for his brother. Kaoru kisses his brother. Honey and Mori graduate! Haruhi thinks she's in love with Tamaki (and admitted it to herself in the latest chapter, last page.) Yeah, all that shit!

Only read the spoiler to find out about things that happen in manga only!

Durarara!! --jkhkitty

Ha!! yes!!! I'm back with another one...

alternate titles- dhurarara, dyurarara, dulalala, DRRR
genre- action, romance, shounen, fantasy
episodes- 24

summery- this story takes place in Ikebukuro, a district in tokyo, where a young boy named ryuugamine mikado moves in to get rid of his boring country life. He unexpectedly meets his old friend and former gang leader, kida, who helps guide him through the whole "city lingo" as my brother calls it. he tells him about the legend of a headless motercycle rider, that spends her time helping the weak in the city, and a mysterious gang known as the dollers. he and kida soon make friends with a shy girl named anri sonohara. things begin to turn upside down kida, ryuugamine, and anri find out that each of them has a life behind the other twos backs'. and in that life, the three are enemies.

Opinion-- cheezy summery, i know. but the story is very detailed, and it's hard to describe. the whole "headless rider" thing is a little cheezy, but celty (the headless rider) is such a nice... dullahan. and the cast is extreemly intresting. there's kida, who's one of those dramatic types, ryuugamine and anri are both pretty quiet, and (my two favs) Izaya, the twisted information broker that pulls all the strings, and shizuo, the guy that can throw a car two miles if he's pissed. five if it was izaya that pissed him off (it's too bad they hate each other...) any way, I really like it. all the odd twists make more sense. izaya's pulling the strings, so it can be as eventful as it needs to be.

Here's the theme song. I like it because it'll introduce most of the characters that matter that I couldn't get around to. oh, the ending, to. just because I like it...
(sorry. copy write clame took the theme song down...)

and a picture, because I love shizuo and izaya. kya!! I'm a total fangirl...

Hajime no Ippo --Solenm Serpent

Title: Hajime no Ippo

Alternate titles: Fighting Spirit, The First Step (Japanese)

Genre: Action, Humor, Drama, Tournament

Episodes: 76

Summary: Ippo Makunochi is a timid high-school student, who devotes his time to aiding his mother with the family fishing business and school work. However, his personality attracts the attention of bullies and, in a fateful twist, a harsh encounter with them leads to Makunochi meeting a professional boxer: Mamoru Takamura. He is taken to Kamogawa Gym, and allows Ippo to vent on some of their boxing equipment; through this, Ippo's potential as a boxer is revealed and Takamura and others help Ippo to reach his true power. As he reaches his potential, Ippo meets new people, forges new friendships, and in the ring he starts becoming a force to be reckoned with.

Opinion: Even if you're not into sports anime, this is a title that I'd suggest you don't miss. Hajime no Ippo is very enjoyable; the characters are beautifully fleshed out and likable and it smoothly transitions to moments of sidesplitting laughter to complete edge-of-your-seat moments. The action scenes are a blend of realism with some anime excesses (the good kind!), which meshes together wonderfully in the ring. The anime, although made in 2000 (the manga is actually still running), has great animation and fantastic music. Recommended for those who enjoy a nice dose of (jaw breaking) action, with a good plot and characters.

First opening, featuring the song "Under Star" by Shocking Lemon.

Katekyo hitman reborn! --jkhkitty

genre: action, adventure, comedy, and a touch or romace~~

episodes: ongoing

age rating: pg 13

summery: Sawada Tsunayoshi (or just Tsuna) is a clumsy, stupid boy. His nick name at school is "no-good Tsuna". That is, until he meets the mafia hitman baby, reborn. his new home tutor. He soon learns that is grandfather was a mafiaso, and a boss of the vengola family. reborn came to teach him how to be a boss like the former ones. at first, it seems imposible. the boy can't even confess his love to his crush (pathetic...)! but, with the help of the dieing will bullet, he eventually kicks @ss. The bullet is a special bullet, that if you're hit with, unless you have a dying will, you will actually die. If you do have a dying will, the bullet ignites a dying will flame, a power that gives you five munuits to do what ever it is that was your dying will, to do it.

Opinion: I know what you're thinking. "baby? that sounds stupid. you're stupid." and I understand. that's what I thought about it at first. but I loved it from the first episode!! Tsuna... confessing his love to kyoko in his underwear... tsk tsk...

but it's very funny. reborn just makes it so funny... and lambo just ruins everything. but I like his 15-year old self! and his twenty-five year old self? forget about it... cows kick @ss...
