Google adds three holiday based special effects to its Duo video chat app

With Halloween, just days away (it’s coming this Thursday), Google’s video chat app Duo has delivered some computer graphics that are apropos to the upcoming holiday. Spotted via Android Police, there are simply two effects for Halloween and one for Diwali. The latter is the Hindu pageant of lighting fixtures that is widely known beginning these days for five days.

To locate these consequences, open the Duo app. If you don’t have it in your phone, it can be established from the Google Play Store or the Apple App Store like icall app. After you open the app, swipe down to ship a video message. Before you create this video, tap on the results button at the proper facet of the display screen. On the lowest of the display, you will see icons that once tapped, will create computer graphics for your video messages. The first icon will use a Snapchat lens-like impact to turn you into a scarecrow with ghosts and pumpkins surrounding you. Tap the crimson button to start recording. The 2nd icon will turn your own home into a creepy living with cracks in the walls as spiders and ghosts appear inside the history while you are recording a video message.

The third effect, for Diwali, shows a sparkler shifting from aspect to side. After going from the left side of the screen to the proper facet and again to the left, the sparkler heads to the other side of the display screen one final time with the words Happy Diwali right at the back of it. There are also six ordinary effects which have been to be had on Duo for some time including one that places your picture interior a painting putting up on a wall; one with translucent coronary heart bubbles that glide up from the bottom of the display; the traditional impact that turns you into a cat wearing sunglasses; an effect that has you searching through a window at the kitchen table; another impact that indicates you carrying coronary heart-fashioned glasses even as the words “I Miss You” pop up all over the display screen; and one final one that locations you below the ocean with jellyfish floating round you.

Duo also has some of filters that can be used to make a Black & White video, blur the historical past to produce the Bokeh impact and even make the colors more saturated.
