The City (Is Ours)

Abyss: I remembered to post!

I glared at this lavender dress I was given. I instinctively bared my teeth at it, but it wouldn’t have done any good. As much as I hate this girl, I knew I had to play along with her games while I try to figure out how to get out of this house.

“I hate you,” I growled softly at the dress.

I gingerly put on the dress in this room with the other females. And then the door opened to reveal another halfer that I haven’t exactly met.

‘Who is she? I can tell she’s a feline, but what feline is a different story.’

I kept those thoughts to myself as there was someone right behind the door—no doubt—and soon I finished changing in this pitch black room.

A guard dragged us into the dining room, with all modesty and glory. Oh, by modesty, I meant by its extravagant nature, it sickened me!

I tuned out most of the conversation in this disgusting room, but I heard the mutt get shocked and slapped by the young girl. I tried to stifle my laughter, but I couldn’t help but to laugh at the pain that he was inflicted. Then, I felt the same shock in my body.

I managed to stifle the noise of pain, but I understood what had happened. She wanted me to keep quiet, and I would do that so I could get closer to her. I felt the pocket knife that was tied around my leg—the fabric coming from my now ruined clothes. I so wanted to just bust it out and stab her, but that would be suicide right now. If only I could get close to her…and get her alone.

Then this would soon be over…unless the gaurds are really that loyal to her. I figured that it was just that she pays them, and they work to get money. But who knows—maybe they might be very loyal to her.

So I sat and ate until we were “excused” to leave.

I sat in my cage/room and wondered about how long it would be before we were saved.

The city was spread out before us, illuminating the darkness that was night. Car horns blared as many people talked. It had been so long since I’ve seen so many people—at least three years (probably more)—and I held my breath.
This was more than what it seemed as there were multiple people asking about us. I understand they’re curious, but it’s really hard to answer, and harder to concentrate.

“Where exactly are we?” I asked no one in particular—the mutt could answer for all I care.

“Los Angeles,” Paloma answered in a daze. I didn’t quite believe her, but I had an even less idea of where we were.

‘So the mutt is good for something,’ I thought darkly.

I then proceeded to walk ahead, which is extremely funny considering that my leg is injured. I walked to McDonalds, where Paloma got some information about our group.

And we kept walking in the city night, until we reached Vana’s house—we got her name from a secret informer.

My first thoughts were that this place had horrible security. I managed to beat them up with Prince’s and Ren’s help, which is sad because I’m ten and I’m injured—I took down two single-handedly.

“I think we only got past stage one,” I muttered as I saw how huge this place was. ‘Dang. She must be a spoiled child because of this.’

Before anyone could make any more comments, something whacked me.

Abyss: I finished the post! *does happy dance* Well, any of Vana’s pets could have done that…or someone near the entrance.
