Perhaps it was foolish to try again but she whipped around and once again she found herself back where she started with Rob looking very bored. What was he? A flash of anger at what he did flared. But she realized looking at him it wasn’t all him. Even though she wanted to blame him it was also on her. If she had stood up for herself maybe he wouldn’t have felt the need to do any of this. She’d lived her life in the shadows on purpose and now those shadows have come to her rescue. She crumpled to her knees and began crying. “Please I only wanted to do one thing in my life worth while. I don’t want to know I ruined two people’s lives.”
“Lord what fools these mortals be.” Rob said edging closer to her. His slender finger tucked under her chin he lifted her tearful face up. “This one last thing I’ll do for you. Seeing that your heart is true.” Suddenly she was standing his finger still under her chin. A small smile touched his lips. “I’ll turned back time, an easy thing, to give you a second chance to play the part of life.”
“Will I remember this?” She asked in a small voice.
He flew back, breaking contact with her. The light suddenly moved to him, like a stage he stood and bowed as if to an audience. “If we shadows have offended, think but this, and all is mended. That you have but slumbered here. While these visions did appear.” His voice was entrancing and slowly the light dimmed and she was spiraling into darkness.
“Wait. Will I ever see you again?”
“Ms. Aster!” Liv jumped her hand clamped over her heart. She was standing on the stage in the auditorium with everyone staring at her. “I said very good. Now get off the stage so someone else can have a turn.”
