News: Vol. 3 Premier of The Incredible Hulk

On October 26, 2011, Marvel Comics will be releasing the Volume 3 premier issue of the comic book series "The Incredible Hulk", thus a 2nd relaunch of the series title. Although story details are unknown at the moment, the tagline for the premier, which reads "The man and the monster are one no more", sort of hints at what Marvel readers are to expect from this new volume of issues.

The premier issue itself will hit store shelves in two cover versions: one blank and one containing an image of the friendly Marvel Universe green giant himelf illustrated by legendary "Batman" comic book artist Neal Adams.

News: Part 3 of New Ultimate Spidey's Origins

Today is the release of "Ultimate Comics: Spider-Man" No. 3, and in this issue, it's part 3 of the New Ultimate Spider-Man's origin story. If you have not yet read the previous two issues of this comic book series, I recommend you look for them at your nearby comic book shop before you read this week's issue, that is if you're interested in seeing the entire origin story so far.

Make sure to also mark your calendars for 11/09/2011 as that will be the release date for "Ultimate Comics: Spider-Man" No. 4, which will contain part 4 of the origin story of this new Spider-Man.

News: Marvel Season One Coming In 2012

Whether you're a long-time fan of the "Marvel Universe" franchise or are just new to the hobby of collecting and reading Marvel Comics-published comic books, here is something you may be interesting in. Next year, Marvel Comics will be releasing a series of four graphic novels titled "Marvel: Season One", where each graphic novel not only revisits the origins of a particular Marvel Unvierse superhero or superhero group with a more contemporary aproach in attempt to meet 21st reader tastes, but also features never-before told adventures that took place within the first year of active duty for that superhero or superhero group. Note that this is no means to reboot anything of the "Marvel Unvierse" franchise, but rather a means to take readers to an earlier time in the history of the Earth-616, the mainstream universe setting of that franchise's canon continuity.

Anyway, here are the installments of the series listed below:

  • Fantastic Four: Season One (to be released in February 2012)
  • X-Men: Season One (to be released in March 2012)
  • Daredevil: Season One (to be released in April 2012)
  • Spider-Man: Season One (to be released in May 2012)

In the meantime, you may want to visit your nearby comic book shop for a free preview guide to these upcoming graphic novels.

News: Part 2 of New Ultimate Spidey's Origins

A reminder that tomorrow, Marvel Comics will be releasing "Ultimate Comics: Spider-Man" No. 1. This issue wil tell part 2 of origin story of the new Ultimate Spider-Man. If I find out that the origin story is to be told throughout more than 2 issues. I'll let you know. I found out the first issue of this series is actually part 1 of an origin story after I bought it.

Poll: The New Ultimate Spider-Man

The webpoll I posted here is about Miles Morales, the new Spider-Man of Earth-1610 (a.k.a "Ultimate Marvel Universe" and "Ultimate Comics Universe"), the universe setting for "Spider-Man" comic books series "Ultimate Spider-Man", "Ultimate Comics: Spdier-Man" (series 1), and "Ultimate Comics: Spider-Man" (series 2), which premiered on the week of Sept. 14, 2011. So keep in mind that we're not discussing about anything related to the mainstream Marvel Unvierse (Earth-616), although I understand that some "Marvel Universe" fans are still (as we speak) disappointed about Earth-1610's Peter Parker getting killed off in the comic pages and then having his superhero mantle getting taking over by another individual.

Poll: What do you think about Miles Morales, the new Ultimate Spider-Man?
