News: A Greeting Card to Spidey Entered in Guinness

A couple of days days ago, Anthony Dichiara of Examiner.com revealed a weird-but-true story. He indicated that a new entry was included in the Guinness World Information, and it was a greeting card collecting the the largest number of signatures. According to Dichiara, the card itself, featured during the Oct. 14 part of this year's New York Comic Con, contained signatures from over 2 000 fanboys and fangirls worldwide, and here's the funny stuff: they were for an anniversary greeting to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the debut of a fictional character, and that character is Marvel Comics' most famous webslinger superhero Spider-Man. And despite the Marvel Comics editorial staff declaring August to be Spider-Man anniversay month, Commissioner Katherine Oliver of New York now calls October 14th "Spider-Man Day".

I'll end this post with the image Examiner showed of the event for you to see.

Happy 50 years to Spider-Man indeed, and we the Spider-Man fans look forward to more years of Spider-tastic action, including of course the launch of the upcoming ongoing comic book series The Superior Spider-Man, which will introduce a new Spider-Man of Earth-616, the Main Marvel Universe.
