☆About the Digital World☆
The digital world was made from computer data from Earth's Communications network. The Digital world mimics ours in terms of geography: there are deserts, oceans, islands, mountains, and pretty much any type of terrain you can think of. The Digital World is mostly inhabited by Digimon, but there are ordinary birds and fish as well.
Normally time in the Digital World would pass at the same rate as time on Earth, but when the portal was opened, it warped the Digital World, causing one day in the Digital World to equal one minute on Earth. Those with Digivices can travel between the Earth and the Digital World using Digiports, a program built into some computers, although how it got there is a mystery.
☆About the Twilight Gang☆
The Twilight Gang are the people who are responsible for opening the portal between the Digital World and Earth. At least one of the leaders was interested in conspiracies, and managed to create the portal with the help of the others. There are seven leaders of the Twilight Gang, with each one having control over a certain section of the Digital World. Each leader also gets their own crest, which pretty much shows their authority. There are also several lower members, who have no crests. These members often get stuck doing the dirty work. The ultimate goal of the Twilight Gang is complete domination of the Digital World. Members consist of both Digimon and Humans. Most Digimon who are part of the gang have been promised something in return for their membership.
The Twilight Gang has also managed to infect most of the digital world with a virus. This virus causes any Digimon above rookie form to return to rookie form, and only allows them to evolve when they are under pressure. The only ones not affected by this are the Twilight Gang's partners. The Digidestined have found that the digivices allow their digimon to digivolve, but only temporarily. It is one thier goals to find a cure for this virus.
