25 years have passed since Mikado Ryuugamine, creator of the Dollars, began his new story in Ikebukuro.

Saika and I have been best friends since...well, forever really. Our dads were best friends too so it fits, right? He's a cool kid...even if he is a polite, gloomy spazz alot.

"Hello, m'lady! Lovely spring day isn't it?" Masaki greeted a girl passing by with a dramatic bow. "However it pales in comparision to your beauty~ How about we sit and---Huh? Where are you going m'lady? Oh well, guess my charming and loving personality are just too much for some." he shrugged.
'Anyway, today we're hanging out and enjoying our last day before we start high school. I'm meeting him in the park at...wait.' "What time is it?" he quicked looked at the clock on his cellphone. Eyes going wide before running off to find his friend. "SHOOT, I'm late!"

Spotting Saika walking through the park, Masaki quickly ran up and put him in a headlock.
"Yo Saika! Miss me bro?"

Every city has its own legend, its own story to be told and passed down. Thus giving it its own uniqueness, its own distinction, to set it off from the rest and to not be grouped as all others. Ours is no different. Yet, unlike most, our city seems to hunger for them, draw in and swallow all sorts of legends that you wouldn’t have dreamed existed.
A number of them are obvious and not all that dangerous unless ‘They’ are provoked. They are easily seen and most are able to distinguish between the normal and the… not so normal. But there are other things, besides them, that can hide in the normal crowd and because they can disguise themselves so well. They are labeled the most dangerous of them all…
My father found this out years ago.
And now I will too.

“I wonder what girl he found to hit on this time?” Saika thought, unknowingly, out loud as he continued walking around Nishiguchi park.
