Chapter 16
The cloudy day and the sudden rain were not helping to resolve Dimitri’s problems; as he walked through a new path he had never entered, he began to complain.
“Great! Now is raining, what else could be worse?!!” the vampire screamed to the trees; he was in the middle of the forest trying to escape from himself, he destroyed some trees and was now sitting in a log. Erebi appeared from nowhere and he seemed happy, something the vampire couldn’t stand at that moment.
“Why are you so happy?” He asked in an angry way
“Well, you look like a child and that brings me some good memories; you are behaving like a stupid man you know that, right?” Erebi said, still in a happy way.
Dimitri grabbed him and looked through his eyes “I know that…but still, I can’t stand that you mention it!” He now was snuffing him in a hard way.
“Wh..what are you planning to do? You know you can’t get rid of me that easily. Don’t look at me like that; what are you going to do? Kill yourself to make me disappear? I’m part of you!” He was set free and remained on the vampire’s shoulder.
“I’m sorry Erebi, you know I need to calm myself in order to think; what I have done was a terrible mistake but the things she said…well..”
“Yes they hurt; however you need her right now so a little talk won’t hurt you so much right?”
“We better get going or else we are going to be sick”
“and..there is something else..”
“¿What do you mean?”
“It is time to let those memories…in case you didn’t notice, as far as we know, we are going to live for an undetermined amount of time. If you keep them with you, that suffering feeling will remain”
“I’m completely aware of that but part of those memories is important and if I’m going to forget, I’m forgetting everything…”
The vampire stood helping himself with a tree; Erebi knew what was happening when he saw Dimitri was fainting in the woods; as he tried to keep him hidden from anything he remembered.
The last time it occurred refers to the time when Erebi made his first appearance to the noble. It was dated after his parents were dead.
There was a little vampire who was scared; he remained in a dark corner of a destroyed mansion fearing someone would come for him, days passed and the little vampire wasn’t moving, he wanted to die but after eating, that option was not available. One morning he heard a voice coming from his mind
“ Hey little kid, you need to get out from here or are you planning to waste the rest of your life remaining here in the corner?”
The little vampire was scared, he didn’t answer.
“At least you have to live for your parents…they didn’t die because they wanted. You should be happy, new powers would come to you…right now”
After saying those words the little vampire began to suffer of a great pain through all his body; several wounds began to appear and disappear until he couldn’t resist. The pain was enough to place him in an interesting state in which he couldn’t move but could see and hear. Now he saw where the voice came; it was an interesting being that began to explain everything to him.
“Dimitri, I’m a part from you, the reason why I materialized is still unknown even to myself, however I’m here to be with you, you are not alone and it seems that what you just experience is part of your abilities. You can take the damage from people who is precious to you” a sight of hope came from the little vampire; he thought he could bring his family back.
“But it also seems that it won’t work against death” The little vampire began to cry
“Don’t cry…you’ll be fine, just rest” With that said he began to close his eyes
“Thank you…Erebi…” he said before falling asleep.
He knew his name and that prove they were meant to be company for each other; however Erebi couldn’t understand something; all of those years he had been absorbing damage but nothing happened to that energy, except for a mark on his back that kept growing in different directions every time an attack occurred; it was the same all the times, he would faint after feeling great pain, while he was in that state, marks of the injuries would appear in his body and then it would end suddenly leaving the mark on his back to grow; after that he would wake up but he would be unenviable to move.
The process passed quickly and now, the vampire was opening his eyes.
“This only means one thing Erebi…Someone was here and hurt our family; however if they left them alive..”
“It was a warning. He is coming soon”
“You mean Nathaniel is near”
“He is the only one who would do something like that”
“You are right Erebi but he is not the kind of man who would do it himself, perhaps he is building a group” Both of them realized they were in disadvantage if they had to fight a large group of different beings “We need to hurry with her transformation and the training for the others…”
They wanted to continue talking but Sophia’s scent was near, meaning with that she was looking for him. As she came near, Dimitri tried to stood up and act as normal as he could ignoring the remain of the pain he was feeling. When they finally met, Erebi disappeared.
“I finally find you, are you done with you anger? Because you know an apology is needed when we get back” Sophia said as she walked to the vampire.
“Yes..I’m done with that; I too know I need to talk with Saga my behavior was not the appropriate for the situation and now I understand it. On the other side, would you answer a question for me my dear?” Dimitri said in a voice he knew Sophia wouldn’t resist.
“Anything you want Master” When he used that voice she tend to call him master.
“Then…Was someone here when I was travelling?” He looked at her eyes and at the second, knew she was going to lie. She was bad when it came to a lie.
“…No one was here..” He knew he needed to do something in order to keep everything away; after all his family didn’t know anything about his real powers. Dimitri grabbed her face in a soft way and smile
“Everything is all right dear so don’t worry. Shall we return to the mansion?”
They walked through the forest holding their hands, feeling they were the complement for the other and knowing that support would came if it was necessary.
When they arrived to the mansion, Dimitri walked to Saga’s room, he wake her up and the only thing she saw before fainting again where two sharp and white fangs.
Chapter 15
One week passed in a flash, it all pointed to good things for some people on the mansion, but to others it was very hard. For example Saga was being treated in a harsh way by Dimitri, for some reason her presence was beginning to frustrate the vampire.
“I’m going out!” Elizabeth shouted as she opened the door; she was going to buy some things on the town in company of Viau; from the first sight he seemed to be the weak type but it was all the contrary, his loyalty to people made him strong; not in strength or special abilities but in his heart. If something happened to Dimitri and now to someone living in the mansion, he would risk his own life to protect them dying happily.
That was the main reason for them of no hearing any reply; the noble trusted him and thought everyone was leaving the mansion so he could have some time with Sophia, he thanked them that opportunity and knowing it was late in the afternoon he decided to relax; as it was something mechanical, he went to his room, dressed in his pajamas and entered his bed; he didn’t had to wait for a long time before Sophia appeared, also in her pajamas and also entering the bed.
“Thank you for being here with me, I needed to relax and forgot about everything” Dimitri said.
“Well my Dear if you insist I would be more than happy to be able and do this more often” Sophia said. Both of them were talking in sweet voices, something you couldn’t appreciate. Dimitri placed his head on her chest, both of them were comfortable now; they continued their conversation while Sophia caressed him.
“Why are you acting like that in front of Saga, poor girl, she is just afraid” she said
“That is the reason, because she is afraid…humans tend to act very strange, their emotions are still difficult to understand for me, so I’m bored with them, trying to understand them makes me feel even worst so as long as she isn’t a vampire…well I’m sorry if I act like that” he said not knowing that apart from Sophia, there was someone else at the mansion; it wasn’t Hades, he was outside; it wasn’t Erebi, he tend to disappeared when those moments came. It was Saga; she was left alone and couldn’t handle her curiosity so now she was hearing all the conversation from the corridor; the door was opened but only a little; she could only see a part of the bed. For her it was sufficient, she remained there listening and hearing many things she was going to regret later that night.
“Don’t you understand my dear? Maybe that ability to show their emotions is what make them interesting…I can still feel like a human but sometime I wonder if one day I will forgot those emotions and became…. “Sophia said cutting her words at the end, she didn’t want to hurt the noble, however he continued.
“To become like me….don’t worry dear, you didn’t hurt me, I also ask myself that question and I arrived to a conclusion” he said in a low voice, he heard she didn’t reply anything but he knew she was curious for the answer “humans are not weak, in fact maybe they are stronger in what refers to emotions; you shouldn’t fear Sophia, I still feel…maybe it is a surprise for you, but if I didn’t then..” He stopped because he didn’t want to continue; Sophia felt that too so she tried to continue the conversation.
“I’m curious now…how do you feel right now?” she asked in a cute way
“I’m afraid..” he said
“Afraid? Of what?”
“I’m afraid of losing you….” There was some silence in which Dimitri noticed something; Sophia’s heart was beating faster; he turned his body and faced her face. She looked shocked but when she saw that two yellow and curious eyes were watching her, she tried to continue with the conversation; in her mind she wanted to hear those words.
“Afraid of losing…me? Why would you feel like that…” she said in a whisper
“Afraid of losing you because…because I love you” He was firm when he said those words; then he sat down on the bed and approach her kissing her lips in a passionate way. The position changed; right now, Sophia was the one leaning on his chest; both kept silence; words weren’t needed at that time. The fact of enjoying the other’s company and silence was enough.
Outside in the corridor, Saga leaned in a wall; she had heard everything and for a strange reason she wasn’t understanding; those words felt like knives in her heart. She felt betrayed by everyone, the only activity she did was walking in silence to the garden; when she arrived there, she sat down under a tree and close her eyes.
“Why….” She whispered. Deep in her mind she was beginning to understand everything. She was falling in love for the noble; however she had to control those emotions because he had already someone he loved. Her other side kept telling her to do something and chase her dreams no matter the consequences it will cause.
“Sophia right?” Saga whispered again, then she opened her eyes to find two pair of eyes looking at her with a worry on them.
“Are you all right Saga?” Elizabeth asked. Before she could do anything another question came. “Why are you crying?” Viau’s voice said. She tried to ignore everything and behave as normal as she could incorporating some lies to her explanation. The other part of her was planning something that had to wait
until the next day.
No one was prepared for what it happened the next morning…

Everything started like it would start in a normal day; Dimitri left the mansion along with Viau to walk and appreciate the nature before it was time for “breakfast”; that time, Dimitri took Viau to the flower shop, the dog was amazed by all the scents and colors he saw and that made the noble happy.
On the other side; Sophia and Elizabeth began to clean and organize everything they could, in that aspect, both of them were perfectionists; however they were worried for the other girl who was acting weird. She ignored Sophia’s voice and acted like her body wished, her mind was somewhere else. Her mind was planning the next move; she wanted to hurt someone in order to heal herself.
Few hours passed and the noble along with the dog arrived; Saga received them because the other two were at the garden, everything was going like she wanted.
“Welcome back! Did you enjoyed your little trip?” she asked
Dimitri nodded and Viau began to talk about all the things he saw; she ignored him and continued.
“Dimitri, may I talk to you in private? I need to ask you something…” the vampire agreed and they went to a little living room in the second floor.
“You know? I’ve been wandering…I’m about to become a vampire for what reason?” She wasn’t looking at his eyes and when she didn’t hear anything she continued “Oh yes! I know the reason: to take care of a weak vampire who doesn’t seem to be stronger enough to take care of himself”
“The only thing I’m going to reply is, Saga stop this nonsense talking or else…”
“Or else what? Are you going to kill me? I don’t think you are capable of doing that, you were not capable of protecting your family and for what I see you are not strong enough to protect any of the people who are at the mansion right now “ She said almost shouting; she didn’t know about his family, however that is a weak point in everyone’s heart.
“What did you just said?” He asked trying to control himself; Erebi tried to help too but what she said next changed everything.
“I’m just saying you are not strong in order to protect Sophia but at the end it doesn’t matter because she is a SLUT” She couldn’t react to what happened next. In no more than one second Dimitri grabbed her neck and pushed her to a wall; there was a heavy noise and after that agitated steps began to appear through all the mansion. Everyone knew what that sound meant. Death.
They found a bloody Saga who was being pushed to a wall and wasn’t able to breathe; the one who was pushing her was an angry vampire who was changing his nails into something sharp; the nails were getting near to her chest in a fast way but before anything happened a horrible sound was heard; a sound that affected everyone except the victim.
“STOP IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!” Sophia shouted, her voice paralyzed everyone, anyway the effect on the noble was to remain there and let go for some seconds the hand that was grabbing the neck. Saga was able to breathe again, now tears falling through her face showed the fear she felt.
“You don’t know what she said…” The vampire said in a tone very similar to a growl. After saying those words he literally threw the girl to another wall ignoring all the sound that was produced when she hit the floor. Everyone kept silence and the only one who was helping Saga was Sophia, how ironic. The victim fainted as soon as she was thrown; Elizabeth wanted to laugh, it seemed a weird reaction to what she saw but sometimes she expressed her fear by laughing; however that time she kept quiet. Viau was alert to any other movement of the noble who was now kneeling on the floor, he grabbed his face, brushed his hair and then walked away but before leaving the mansion he hit a wall which began to collapse.
“Don’t dare to follow me or else you will end worst than her….” A door closed and Dimitri left.
The mansion was agitated and everyone was trying their best to kept an order and remain distracted from what had happened.
Sophia was treating Saga’s wounds and when she was able to open her eyes, she began to try and found out what had started the problem.
“Saga what did you do to make Dimitri that mad?” she asked in a motherly voice
“…. I talked bad things about his family and him…” She said quickly, she wasn’t brave enough to tell her the truth, not for now.
Sophia remained in silence thinking about a possible way to resolve everything. “ Saga, don’t do that kind of thing ever again, if you do, there wouldn’t be anyone to save you…” Her voice was deep and rough “I’m going to search for him, when he behaves like this, he would end killing someone at the village. Please talk to him when we come back, now you should rest” Sophia left and the other girl could notice that something had changed in her. She didn’t know that family was something of that importance to them and that she created a big mistake.
It began to rain…
Chapter 14
Saga kept thinking about the words of the noble; she arrived to a point in which she began to fall in a deep confusion; was she feeling something for that person who walked in front of her? That was impossible if she saw it from every point. The first one referred to the amount of time she had been living with them; only a few weeks and of that time, half of it missed Dimitri’s presence; the truth was that she spent more of her time with Elizabeth and Sophia trying to figure out the answers for her questions before all the procedure began.
The second point referred to Sophia. It was clear that she was something more than a maid for the noble; however deep in her mind she tried to forget that fact so she could maintain the hope of sharing more time with him.
Most of the times she felt like an intruder on the family; she didn’t know many information about their life, only some data that she received the time were they told her everything and the way the behaved. They told her she was now a part of the family but that thought kept passing through her head.
She didn’t remind they were walking until a cold breeze brought her to earth; it was cold and the sun had already hid itself, letting a piece of moon to show up. For a moment she felt she was lost but she kept walking and then stumbled with the noble’s back; he was standing in front of what it seemed a comfortable little house built very far from the main town; the only thing you could see were the lights of some lamps.
“Dear, can I tell you something?” Dimitri asked without even turning back to face her; he was concentrated in sound that came from the house that were unable for Saga to hear. At the end he continued without her concern “You are acting very strange, I suppose it is all fault of your grandmother’s death; however you need to restore from it quickly or else I would not be able to do anything. And forgive me if it sound harsh, you will need to get used to my personality” His words were harsh and she felt them like that; after he talked she was returned to reality in a hundred percent and faced everything she tried to hide; the only thing she did was to kept her tears inside.
“Well as you can see we are in front of this house, currently waiting for someone; we are going to stay here tonight and then you’ll be leaving tomorrow; I’ve already bought your tickets and you probably are going to be fine” The words he said were even worse than the last ones; Saga’s mind broke down and she felt betrayed for an unknown reason.
“So it is you again, making young ladies feel the worse way right Dimitri?” an interesting voice of a male talked in the darkness; the vampire turned to see who he was expecting, he too saw a sad Saga but he only ignored her and talked to the voice.
“It’s been a while since I last saw you” Dimitri said in a happy way that the girl couldn’t understand; she knew she was being ignored but it was a harsh way to do it; she also was confused with the conversation they were having.
“It has passed more that a ‘while’ and I’ve missed you a lot! At least you
could have written something so I knew you were doing fine…” The voice said.
“I know that and I’m really sorry, you know I care for you. Anyway, before you try doing anything, please let us in and then we can talk.”
The man transformed into a figure that led them in. The inside of the house looked messy but in a way it looked like a warm home. Finally the man was revealed; he was the same age of Saga and had ochre eyes that were not hidden because of his hair; his hair was dark but you couldn’t tell the color of it; there was a mixture between cream, black and brown over his head. At that moment, Dimitri remembered he had company with him and decided to break the silence with Saga
“My friend here is right, I’m sorry if I made you feel like that; however what I said was true. If you need some time, let me know, it can wait I guess…” Dimitri said with an air of disappointment crossing his voice.
Saga didn’t answer and then they sat on some comfortable furniture full of pillows. Dimitri was familiar with the place so he went to take his coat off.
“Well, I guess I need to present both of you; Saga he is Viau Ochs, someone I’ve known for a long time. Viau, she is Saga but you already know everything about her so I don’t need to tell you new information” those last words altered Saga and for the first time during the night she talked.
“Excuse me, but how does he know about me? She said
“Well dear, he knows everything I know, I had always told him everything..”
“But you said before that he didn’t write anything to you so you could know he was fine, how do you explain that?” Saga said while she looked at Viau. This time Viau talked.
“Well, I was just bothering him, we have this kind of connection that allow us to know many things about the other” He said and you could tell he was anxious about something; everyone noticed that and when Dimitri was returning to take his seat, he finally gave up and said “It’s alright, I know you were anxious because of that so just do it…”
Viau nearly ran through the living room and hugged Dimitri tightly; after that the noble pet him and then they sat down as if nothing had passed. Saga was feeling an awkward sensation within her; she didn’t know how to react.
They seem to notice that too; anyway, both decided to let that session of
answering question for some other time.
“Saga, I think you should need to rest for your trip tomorrow; we will join
you in probably, two or three days so please, when you arrive to the mansion tell this to Sophia and Liza alright?” Dimitri said in a more relaxed way than before and that kept Saga’s curiosity locked in so she went upstairs and let them talk.

The reaction of Liza and Sophia when she arrived alone was not the best; they kept asking her many questions and, at the end Saga told them about the little incidents that happened and the other two were really worried, however they didn’t say a world about Liza’s strange meeting.
After two days the noble arrived in company of his strange friend Viau; everyone seemed to be happy about his returning and received Viau in a good way; according to Liza, Viau wasn’t someone new for them, he appeared from time to time (long time) and it all pointed to a good relationship with Dimitri. However, they didn’t know much information about him, the only think they knew was that the noble treat him in a way very different from what he treated other familiars or friends; the three of them wanted some answers after all so they insisted and that discussion led to a meeting in the huge living room.
“Where do you want to start?” Dimitri asked in a happy way
“Well, what is his story with you? How did you met?” Elizabeth asked and with that it all begun.
“Well it began some years…no, not some years, in fact it happened a very long time ago when I was still human; we met when I was little and he was one of my closest friends ever; we didn’t have any problems until I realized what I was; however he didn’t run away from me, it was all the contrary, he stood by my side until an incident happened” Dimitri was embarrassed and a little depressed after mentioning the last words; on the other hand Viau notice it and tried to make the noble feel better with himself.
“Well the incident was that he killed me; anyway it wasn’t that bad after all, in fact I think that the incident made our bond a closer one, don’t you think so?” Viau asked Dimitri while he ignored the different expressions that came from the three girls that were in front of them. The vampire led those feeling apart and was happy again.
“So are you telling me, Dimitri, that you somehow, like both sides? I mean, you talk about Viau in a different way and I’m not sure if that is the case….” Saga said in a worried voice. The two men that were in front of them began to laugh in a high way and after some minutes they stopped and realized they hadn’t understand anything that they told them.
“Well Saga, if you believed in us and what we were, you are certainly going to believe what I’m about to tell you. When I was little, I had an Akita, it is the name of a dog that nobles had; anyway that animal was my only friend; other kids were afraid of me and kept their distance; animals on the other hand, did the same, except of the dog and now our dear cat Hades. When the great accident happened and I was left alone, the only thing I had was that dog; however I couldn’t control my instincts and I ended killing him….” He stopped there and Viau continued in a fast way before everyone noticed the vampire’s sad feeling.
“Well, at the end many years passed and believe it or not, I think I reincarnate in a human. One day I was walking through a town when I saw Dimitri; when that happened I remembered everything and I think he did too because when we had the chance to talk, it felt like nothing had changed except for a better way to communicate between each other.”
“Thank you Viau, after all you still are a loyal friend” Dimitri said while he petted Viau once more.
As the night passed, everyone went to their own bedrooms, leaving Dimitri with Viau. He continued to pet him on the head and Viau felt asleep; at a first point the sight would look weird; however Viau still had some behaviors of dog within him, it was his nature and that didn’t seem to worry the noble because of two things. First one refers to the kind of person he was; he would do anything for the ones he loved, including petting another man.
Second reason was the fact that he liked to see how people slept; he found that activity very interesting and could saw it in only few beings.
Chapter 13
“Just let him rest for the rest of the night”. The words of Erebi were absolutely right; Saga remained sitting and watching over the noble thinking about her future. Her head was full of different emotions; firstly fear, she didn’t saw the fight but as far as she knew Dimitri was someone very strong and he now was defeated; if he couldn’t resist , what if a stronger enemy of some sort appeared and she couldn’t do anything? Her anguish turned into something else as she thought that she didn’t have anything else or anyone who would cry for her if she died; the only one that loved her was her grandmother and now that important person had passed away. Her father, on the other side, was too busy with his new possession named Faustine; after her biological mother died, he married Faustine. The woman was a rich one and her personality was a horrible one, she could be defined as a person who didn’t care about others if they were not in her same social level and now she had to face her once again.
“She was the reason for me leaving with my grandmother…that wo..” She said in a whisper not noticing that the vampire was moving. He seemed to be hallucinating or something of that kind because of the strange names he called. Saga noticed his fever had increase and that level was dangerous; she thought about bringing some cold water and she did; anyway when she was about to place it on the vampire’s forehead, the bowl in which the water was, flew away.
“I don’t want to take a bath mother…not now…” Dimitri said in a low voice. The girl thought about acting as his mother so his fever could decrease in a fast way, she began to talk in a low voice too, acting as best as she could.
“But, dear, if you take the bath late at night, then you could get ill…we must do that now”
“I don’t want to…please?”
“I’m sorry but I can’t accept a negative answer …”
“….You are not really her are you?” It seemed Dimitri had noticed her; however he was still talking in his dreams, maybe if she continue the conversation it would help.
“No..I’m not your mother”
“I miss her sometimes…she cared about me in a sweet way, now I feel alone most of the time…”
“But, what about Sophia and Elizabeth and me..do you feel lonely still?”
“I won’t answer that..” Dimitri move a little and then felt asleep again, Saga took the advantage and place some cold water in his forehead; after some minutes, Dimitri suddenly wake up. Saga was surprised.
“What happened?” He asked
“You fainted after the battle…I think it was the poison…”
“I’m sorry if I make you worry about me” He noticed the water and knew what she had done for him.
“It..it was nothing…”
Dimitri stood up and approach her, he kneeled and kissed her hand in a gentle way
“Thank you”.
“After all..my job is to take care about you…” Saga said in a cold way; on the other hand Dimitri laughed and exit the place but before he left he said “Rest some hours, you look tired and I don’t want you to look tired for the ceremony… I want to walk for some time”

Certainly, the resting worked on Saga; she was returning to be the lively girl she was. When they arrived at the ceremony, Dimitri could see that Saga wasn’t very comfortable, he thought it was Faustine’s fault and he corroborate that when she and her father came to talk to them. Before they arrived Dimitri asked the girl if they knew about her work, her answer was a NO.
“I’m so sorry about your lost dear” Faustine said, she was faking the emotion, maybe she thought the fortune the grandmother had would pass to her new husband, she was anxious and enjoying the moment.
Saga stared at them and kept quiet watching the coffin. “So who is he? Could he be your husband dear?” Saga’s father got shocked about that hypothesis and wanted an answer as soon as possible.
“Excuse me Madam” Dimitri grabbed and kissed her hand “ I’m only a close friend of hers, she is currently living with us and I wanted to be of some company in this hard moment”
“It seems you are a man of a high class…could you tell me your name?”
“It must be a pleasure, I’m the noble Dimitri Bachelier”
“I’m afraid I don’t know your last name..maybe it isn’t very recognized after all…” Faustine said as she giggled; she was trying to make Dimitri feel bad, however he was not going to let that happened.
“It’s better that way, knowing a person like you wouldn’t be very pleasant and excuse me Madam but if you are not going to ask something that is important, then we’ll have to leave.. Saga..shall we go?” Erebi laughed with Faustine’s expression when they left, she kept quiet and her husband laughed, he then received a slap on his face.
On the side of Saga, she kept thinking just one thing: “Why did he said a friend….” She was quiet and somehow depressed.
Chapter 12
“It’s been one day since he go away and I miss him very much!!” Elizabeth shouted to the world as she remained on her bed looking to the roof. She missed Dimitri because he always sis what she wanted to do like walking through the forest or just remaining there, alone and talking; now she was bored and Sophia didn’t give her many solutions.
An idea came to her mind and she told Sophia she was going to walk alone, remaining away from the town so she wouldn’t have any problems; Sophia agree with that and Elizabeth was now walking with Hades and watching nature. She got deep in the woods were no one could see her and began to take inspiration; her plan was to develop her second power before Dimitri came back so she could surprise him, the only problem was that she didn’t know were to start. The woods were dark and the only light that arrived was the one that trespassed the heavy leafs of the trees; it was an ideal place to have peace and think about things, good or bad events. She remembered the day she died.
Elizabeth grew with Dimitri and Sophia as parents because her biological mother left her in the entrance of the mansion when she was a baby; she thought those things only happened in fairy tales. She was wrong. However, she grew as a healthy human which was kept apart from the main town for security rules. The truth was that Sophia and Dimitri were waiting when she was older so she could become one of them and as a result they could live like a real family; it didn’t happen that way.
She was young and decided to go against the rules; she walked to the town and what she found there was a group of people that seemed to fear her; although, when they saw she was alone, their bad intentions came to their minds and they grabbed some weapons. On the other hand Elizabeth didn’t know what was happening and she only reacted when they started to chase her over the woods with torches on their hands. The group of villagers was numerous and was completed only by men; it seemed women at least had a heart.
Elizabeth ran and ran far away; she got lost and ended near a dangerous place which everyone feared: an old cliff. She stopped before she felt down to some rocks and trees; however the villager were coming and by that time Sophia and Dimitri began to worry for her so they left the mansion and went searching for her. It was too late when they arrived to the cliff. Elizabeth’s last moments were grabbing a root that was near the surface; one villager called Nathaniel walked to her, watched her with evil eyes full of anger and began to step her hands; she felt down. Sophia saw her falling and jumped down to where she was, she could hold her but it was too late, she was dying and her organs were burst because of all the things she bounced with. Sophia knew she couldn’t transform her because she wasn’t an expert so she tried to maintain her alive while Dimitri arrived.
Dimitri was facing the villagers with anger on his face; Erebi tried to control him but it was useless, all the men who were there died in a horrible way. Nathaniel experienced the most horrible dead as he began to take parts of his body; at the end the vampire took his head and forgot about everything as he got to were Sophia and Elizabeth remained.
“After that I just remember to ask why they were there with me…I saw the blood and…” Elizabeth flashback ended and before she finished, someone interrupted her.
“Too bad you didn’t die that day…If you were dead, we could be peaceful people…” I t was a boy from the same age as her; unfortunately he had a bad look on his eyes and caught Hades before she knew it.
“Keep your hands away from him! He is only a cat” She screamed, but it was in vane; the boy was starting to torture the cat and it tried to defend with a negative result. Elizabeth got her whip out and throw it to the hands of the boy; however he grabbed the whip and with a big grim on his face he said
“That would not work against me, useless child…you’ll need to do something better if you want to rescue this animal” Elizabeth was getting nervous; she freeze thinking on a way in which she could save the cat.
After some minutes of fighting, the cat was resigning itself to his death and for Elizabeth; she felt different; she had this tremendous will to save the cat. And it finally came; a butterfly was crossing by, Elizabeth grabbed her and killed her; after it was done, it occurred. Butterflies began to appear from nowhere and flew near the boy
“So this is your second ability?..Butterflies..weak butterflies that don’t..Ow! what was that?” The wings of the butterflies were cutting his skin, it wasn’t a deep cut but when there were many of them, it was dangerous. The boy ran away saying some last words
“wait until we come for you…”
It finally happened, Elizabeth had discover her second power and was very excited about it; she took Hades and ran to the mansion. Sophia cured the cat and Elizabeth told her everything; at the end, she was puzzled by Sophia’s expression.
