Hellsing review

This is my review of a well known (or maybe not) vampire type anime, Hellsing. The first thing that I will tell at the beginning is, that this anime defines the word vampires and that it is not for anybody. There are many gore scenes in it and some pretty creepy ones. The other thing that I will say is, that if you want to watch this one, the best is that you try Hellsing OVA Unlimited, which has episodes that are remade from the original one plus some more. In other words, it is by far better. But let us leave that one for another review and see about this one.
What at first you will always notice are the animations. Here, I will be honest, they are really crappy. The characters are very well drawn, but only the main ones, and yet mostly Alucard who is the main character. His animations and drawings are just so awesome. With other characters much less, but still pretty good. Now while this has some bad animations, the OVA actually has one of the best that I have seen by any anime. Just a huge difference between them.
What I was talking about the main character is, that is pretty awesome. I mean really, he is so awesome that he is not even a hero. He is like an anti-hero and he always acts cool there. They definitely did the main character pretty good. And yes his name is Alucard, and not Arucard like some fan translations are. It comes from the name Dracula, just read it backwards and he is usually in vampire fiction, the son of Dracula, but I am not sure if he is in this anime.
The soundtrack is not bad actually. It is not something that you would really like and maybe notice, but I liked it. Especially the opening and ending songs. For some reason, I really liked them. I like that jazz feeling that they had and all that, so it was good to me. And all the effects in anime are good as well, from guns to everything else.
The story is pretty weird and mostly separated from episode to episode, each time filling a missing puzzle. The anime is also not very long, so I really recommend to everyone to check it out. You won't be disappointed. At least not too much.^^
Animations and drawings: 6.5/10 - They are bad in this version and even this is maybe too much to give. But there are some things that approve it.
Story: 8/10 - For some reason the main plot is plain to me, but the overall story and everything else is actually good about the organizations and so.
OST and effects: 8/10 - Not of a very high quality, but I really liked it.
Entertainment: 9/10 - All the other qualities at side, the anime was pretty entertaining to watch.
Overall: 8.5/10 - A quite good anime, especially for these dark hollow nights.^^
