~Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children~
As I was doing a review on Final Fantasy VII, and anime Last Order, I decided to do the rest of FFVII related stuff. And this one, is probably today the best known, Final Fantasy movie. It is the second one and in my opinion, much better than the first one.
This movie is CG based, with animation graphics. But what to tell, than they are just amazing. Very detailed and very sharp. Nothing less than the Square Enix could do. The story is set two years after the events of original Final Fantasy VII and defeat of Sephiroth. Now the Kadaj brother wants to find their lost mother and to resurrect Sephiroth again. Now, the story can be quite confusing if you are watching it for the first time, and especially if you didn't played the game. But I did that as well the first time, and let me tell you, this movie is filled with action and just entertainment. It is really good, and all the effects, from the opera, metal, and symphonic style music to follow it all, to the epic scenes... It is all very well done!
The music itself is really good. Actually, this movie has the best soundtrack of every video game/movie/anime, that I have ever heard. It uses many music from the original Final Fantasy, just remakes it with more rock/metal style and even some new ones, like the relaxing and nice songs to many other. And in here is one of my most favorite songs, One winged angel, made it even better style! The voice acting...just two worlds... pure amazing! The Japanese voice actors did they job really well as always they do, and even the English ones are just amazing!
Now, if you decide to watch this movie, and you happen to have a PS3 or a Blue-ray player, I suggest getting the Final Fantasy VII Complete ,which is an extended edition, made in full HD. If you don't have that, you will still enjoy this movie really much! I know that I did, and definitely recommend it to anyone. Probably the best CG movie that you can see.
Graphics: 9.5/10 - Some may say that they don't look too realistic. I say that they look fantastic!
Story: 9/10 - If you are watching and actually understanding it, give it the highest mark.
OST and effects: 10/10 - Need I to say more!!
Entertainment: 9/10 - This movie can be watch, again and again.
Overall: 10/10 - I just couldn't put any mark lower....
Two biggest rivals... Cloud and Sephiroth!
