you made me cry. this is really good. my only problem is at the very end it says he wanted to become a detective for justice but somewhere in the manga at least, it does actually mention he doesn't do what he does for justice... other than that this could most certainly be what happened to poor L. just so you know it is really hard to make me cry when reading a story. i read adult horrors where people are often dying or something thats meant to make you cry but i never do. but this did make me cry, Well done

That was such a good story!! Poor L, he really deserved a better life. This was a sad but nice story. One of the best DN fanficts of L's past that I've read, it's actually similar to the way I thought his past to be. Accept without the drunk mom. I think that he lived in a small rural town in England with a caring mother and his father died, later his mom died and he was taken by Wammy to the orphanage.
