Kita walked the halls of Las Noches with a devious thought on her mind. However, she was not sure she could pull it off on her own. So she went to the only person she knew she could trust. Gin Ichimaru. Once she was standing in front of his door she knocked softly and waited for a reply.
Gin heard the knock on the door as he looked up from his book. He set it aside on the coffee table and walked to the door. Opening it, his face expressed surprise seeing Kita standing there with a smile on her face.
“Well hello” he said rather surprised.
Usually he was the one to visit her not the other way around so this came as a rather pleasant surprise. He smiled at her as he gestured for her to come in.
Kita smiled warmly at Gin as he stood in the doorway greeting her, then welcoming her in.
“I need to talk to you about something, Lord Gin.” Kita told him as she walked into the room and took a seat on the couch. She looked toward him as he closed the door and started his way toward her.
“Well more like I need your help.” Kita said with a sly grin.
“Oh? And what do ya want my help with?” he said with an interested smile as he sat on the couch next to her, resting his elbow on the back of the couch as he looked at her.
Kita turned to face Gin as she said, “I want to take Orihime out of Las Noches and give her back to Ichigo.” Her eyes were locked with Gin's so he knew she was not bluffing.
His expression turned from pure curiosity to a scowl as he sat up and walked a few steps. He then turned back to her. “Of all the outrageous things I've said and done, this beats them all! What's gotten into ya, Kita?” he said, his face surprised but displeased.
Kita’s eyes followed Gin as he walked across the floor. This was not the reaction Kita was hoping for from Gin.
“It’s too soon for her to be here. Lord Aizen doesn’t need her. You know as well as I why he has her here” Kita told him. After a few second of watching and waiting for a reply, Kita cast her eyes down. “She is stealing Ulquiorra from me” Kita whispered in the silence of the room.
Gin's displeased expression softened as he saw Kita bow her head and speak in that sad tone.
“Gah!” he said as he ran his hands through his hair throwing his head back.
He slid his palms over his face as he sat silent for a few seconds. He then turned to Kita.
“Do ya realise what yer doin here?!” he fretted. “If Aizen-san finds out about this...I might get out of it, but you'll surely lose your head for it!”
Kita nodded knowing exactly what kind of trouble she was headed for if Aizen found out. However, to keep Ulquiorra from drifting any farther from her she was willing to do anything.
“I know, Lord Gin, but I can’t lose Ulquiorra to her. She is better than me, stronger, kinder and more loving. He sees and knows it. Every day he drifts farther away from me because of her.” Kita looked up at Gin as a tear trickled done her cheek.
“I won’t let her have what I worked so hard on achieving. Ulquiorra belongs to me, not her.”
Gin sighed as he leaned against a wall, covering his face with his palm as he sighed.
“Once a traitor, always a traitor” he chuckled ironically to himself.
He pushed against the wall and walked over to her. He lifted her chin up to look at him as he said.
“I'll do it on one condition” he said his face straight and serious with a hint of a frown.
Kita looked up at Gin sadness in her eyes, but a glimmer of hope in her heart. “What is that?” Kita asked solemnly.
“Never say someone like her is better than you” he said with not even a hint of his usual smile. “If it were fer me ya know I’d let her rot in that room of hers.”
Kita smiled with a slight nod, she stood from her seat on the couch before Gin. “I promise.” She gave Gin a slight bow as she stood there.
Gin said nothing as a smile appeared on his face. He moved his hand up and wiped away a tear resting on the corner of her eye. He knew this was going to be risky but he was one that wasn't afraid of any. He was actually a bit thrilled.
