"You show that you are a letter from Christ, the result of our ministry, written not with ink but with the Spirit of the living God, not on tablets of stone but on tablets of human hearts." --2 Corinthians 3:3

I hate the time change.
Stupid Daylight Savings Time. It's screwing with my internal clock.
So I know I said we were going to have EPIC PIRATE TRUCK on Halloween, but no such luck. Halloween here was a rainy digusting mess. So we had the mini van, and our coolness factor went down a few poitns. But we stayed dry for the greater majority of the night. So whatever. No pictures of the epic pirate truck.
This week is Homecoming week at my school. We don't have a football team, so no Homecoming game, but we do get to have a party. No stupid dance though, we're having a bonfire in the field by the school and we're going to play such games as amoeba-tag, dodgeball, Red Rover, and hide-and-go-seek. I feel like our Homecoming will kick all other Homecoming's butts. So there.
But Homecoming also means awesome costume days all WEEK!! Yesterday was Pajama Day. Easiest day ever. I rolled out of bed and put on my contacts, threw on a hoodie and I was good to go. And today was Team Spirit Day. Yeah. I represented my college because my sister stole my Cubs shirt. Tomorrow is Era Day. I'm going as someone from the Victorian period. My sister is going as a 20's mobster. Her costume is cooler because she actually gets to bring a plastic pistol to school. Thursday is Tacky Day and Friday is EPIC COSTUME DAY!! So excited. Senior Class is divided, half as pirates half as ninjas. And we get to go to Wal-mart on Friday to go shopping for Homecoming food, so pirates and ninjas are going to infiltrate Wally World!!
I think I'm done rambling for now. So, I'll shut up...
I'm not dead yet!
Wow...I haven't posted anything in a while. So, right now I am completely exhausted. Today was 'Community Helper's Day' at my school. The parking lot was taken over by a whole punch of career-type people [firemen, police officers, builders, radio station people, ect.] and the students were all supposed to go around and talk to them. The seniors [my class] got recruited to help take Pre-K [the four year olds] around because...well, I actually have no idea. Their teacher was off doing something else so we ended up with her students because she lacked the foresight to get a proper subsitute teacher. So, we thought we would just be with them to take them around the parking lot, but no siree! We watched the Pre-K until 12:15 this afternoon. We pretty much missed all of our morning classes [which didn't mean much, because we had a sub in Anatomy and Worldview is the stupidest class ever] and then part of lunch. It was a good morning though, because let's face it: them kiddies were CUTE! :3 After we were relieved of our babysitting duties the senior went out to lunch. Which was a nice way to get away from everything...
Tomorrow is Halloween! I'm so excited! I'm helping out with trunk-or-treat at my church. My sister, cousin and I are all dressing as pirates and we're going to decorate the bed of our black truck like our pirate ship! [Maybe I'll take pictures so you guys can see it...] Argh, matey. So that should be fun, and I also get to re-use my pirate costume for Homecoming week!! [Which is next week!] Friday of next week is "Epic Costume Day" and the senior class decided that we wanted to do themed costumes...so half of us are going as ninjas and the other half pirates. I'm on the pirate side... [laughs]
Hmmmm...what else? Oh, I finally decided to beat Ocarina of Time on my own. I've never played it all the way through before [usually my sister and dad commandeer my file and win it for me] so this time I'm going to do it by myself. But my sister keeps messing me up by lying to me under the guise of 'giving me guidance'. My dad told me not to listen to her. So if you're reading this, Sista. I'm not listening to you anymore! :P
Ok, I think I've rambled enough for now, don't you guys? I have to leave soon anyways, my youth group's headed out to a haunted house this evening, so I have to go get myself scared to death.
Happy Halloween, everybody!
...
Tomorrow is picture day. I HATE picture day with a burning passion. I am not photogenic. [Or pretty, for that matter...] And we have to do senior formals tomorrow. So I have to get all dolled up and wear the ugly drape and all that jazz. Blegh. I am not looking forward to it at all.
Umm...went to go see Where The Wild Things Are on Friday night. It was really good--but really sad. It was very well done, though. If you want to go see it I would recommend it.
Not much else is going on. I've been working a lot because a lot of people have things going on, so I have to fill in at the office. Had the coolest encounter on Friday when I was working. I was talking to this little boy who was telling me that he was a robot from an alien planet who had crash landed here on earth. Coolest. Kid. Ever.
The Internet at my school keeps going down. Which is not good for those of us who are enrolled at the community college taking college courses. We can connect to the wireless network just fine, but our ISP keeps having seizures or something, so the Internet is unreliable, which is starting to really stress everyone out. We finally talked to the school administrator about it and hopefully the problem will be fixed, because it's starting to really piss me off.
Not much else to say. Life is pretty boring, but boring is good.
a dreary Thursday afternoon
I'm wearing a pair of cut-off jean shorts in order to revolt against the weather. [It's super cold and rainy.] I also have to have knee-high knit socks to keep my legs warm, but I've still got the shorts on. Take that, Weather!
Today, I officially changed my Facebook langauge to "pirate". It's the coolest thing ever. If you have a Facebook go to "settings" -> "language" -> "English (Pirate)". Reading all of the pirate-y things on my Facebook pages has made my day.
My sister and I are going to go see "Where the Wild Things Are" tomorrow. I'm soooo excited about this movie. When I first heard about it last winter I started counting down the days, and now it's finally here!!! I'm so excited. This movie is [hopefully] going to be epic.
I probably should be writing my Creative Writing paper right now...but I'm kind of tired and can't think of anything to write.
And that's all I have to say about that.
because I don't want a social life, not really.
So, I officially wasted nearly my entire school day to this website:
Click on it if you want to waste your time with the most awesome things ever. I've been reading since first period and only stopped to work on my Anatomy class. I officially feel like I have no life.
Thanks, MLIA.
