NEW:
Now I'm on MSN!!! This is my Live ID!

Ah...Happy day!

I'm a total shithead. I don't write real often.

I cleared the JLPT!! Not only that, I scored a 362/400, which means I topped at the uni level, and probably placed 4th or 5th at the national level!

I'm so happy

Nnnnnnnn...

So. I haven't really been feeling much like writing, so I haven't. Sorry about that.

Well, this is gonna be a BO-ring week for sure. There's a strike going on at our uni, and so...no classes. Which is totally a bummer because I'm usually at the uni at this time of the day (it's morning here), and now I'm left with nothing to do. I think I understand now how those depression roadkill are feeling.

Well, it's not all bad, though. My TV got fixed (on Monday), and so I could watch DTB last night. Wow, what a show. At the same time, I'm marathoning Blood+ right now, trying to understand it better (my older friends should remember what I said about Blood+ the first time I watched it). I think I do, and I don't think it's that bad at all. In fact, it's pretty damn interesting.

I'm going pretty heavy on the reading front too. I'm reading Saikano right now, and it's a very interesting manga. Not as good as Gunslinger Girl, probably, but better than most. At the same time, I'm reading Selected Works of J.W. Von Goethe, and that's where my headaches start. Man, understanding Goethe is hard! He fills them up with so much philosophy and human emotion that it gives you migraines just to read through it.

Well, anyway, I'll just stick to it and see how far it goes.

Peace.

Ramblin' On, man!

Well, my MySpace is pretty much dead, so I deleted my a/c today. Had fun doing it too, like cutting yourself and watching the blood flow ().

The shit TV's broken down, so no anime. And since I'm a very strict otaku, I dropped...no, had to drop Tenpou Ibun..., while Darker than Black's still hanging there, by a slim thread.

What's worse is that the guys from the TV comp can't seem to find their bearing on my TV. They took five days to just come and replace a part, then found that the whole motherboard was horseshit, and took it to the workshop today. F-ing shitheads.

Well, anyway. How's y'all doing?

Peace.

Tale of the Browser War

A calm, clear sky envelops the city of New Delhi on the 8th of February, a sky that cannot be herald to a grim deathly day. But all was not ll right, for on the ground, the carcasses of several Browsers lay....

OK, OK, it's not that dramatic. But yesterday was an incredible day of browser-hunting, which resulted in a great triumph.

Inspired by Emmah's post, I thought of DLing the AOL Browser. But the DL was taking so long I canceled it, and went to download.com to check out some other browsers.

I sorta liked Maxthon, so I DLed that. Turns out it's an IE clone, notoriously unstable and moody. Well, that was goodbye to that.

Next I tried the Netscape Navigator. I really liked its interface, browsing and porting-until it alerted me that its support had ceased since 2008. With lots of heartbreak, I put it down.

Next I tried Google Chrome. I sorta liked this simple little browser, but its sheer simplicity became a bitch after a while. It didn't have adblocking, couldn't show any advanced features and was rudimentary in its design. But I liked it still (it's nearly crash-proof), so I kept it.

Next I went for Avant Browser. And what do you know? That browser is a CPU hog! It ate up all of my 1.33 gigs and wanted more! So that was the end of Avant.

Eventually I decided to go for the AOL browser again. I waited an hour to dl that, only to find--oh God--that it works only for AOL connections! I needed an AOL network to use it.

Well, that was the crunch time for me. I (dejectedly) went back to download.com, and looked for another browser. Then I stepped on to Orca Browser.

It was pure perfection! A magnificent little Firefox-based browser with low system footprint and a ton of features. I loved its design, its speed and safety. Bang! Just like that, I was in love with my browsers.

So now I have 4 browsers: Flock for my social networking, Firefox for my proxy, Orca as my default browser, and Chrome as my backup. I hope I can now walk into the sunset with these 4 in peaceful harmony.

Peace!
