Otaku talk: Manga

Hello everyone~!
Last time we talked about light novels, but this time we are going to talk about a more frequent and known format to all otakus. That is manga.

Mangas to some are the very own solid beginning for any otaku. Is that true or not, it depends. Anime could take that position more, but still the manga itself is the one that animes are usually based on.
So they are very important in that regard. Mangaka are the original artists that do them and they have a very specific pathway that they follow. They release their chapters by either once a week or even once a month, depending on their style and quality and quantity of manga.

As everyone probably knows how a manga looks like, I will not get much into detail about that. It is read from right to the left of course, each chapter can have 20-30 pages on average to even more, each volume 7-8 chapters, but again it can depend and so on. Everyone also probably knows that several chapters of manga form a volume which is released then later.

It should be noted that even if most of the manga are Japanese, there are actually some that are not. They are of course not very famous, but still worth mentioning. Some call them pseudo mangas, but it depends on the artist and style again. The style can be either traditional Japanese or more adopted for the Western readers.

So what are manga at the end? Japanese comics? Yes, but they are so different and unique that they deserve their own category and that’s why everyone refers to them as ‘manga’ (same thing with anime, many refuse to announce it as a cartoon).
And it should be noted that all of them have their own category suited for many. From young children, to young or even older adults, everyone can find what they are looking for and what they like.

As this is talk and as I know that most of you probably know all the basic info about manga, I wanted to keep it short. Now it is for you to share if you have some interesting information about them.
Thank you for reading.
