Hello and welcome to Keba's Anime and Manga Place (KAAMP for short)! Here at KAAMP, I write about anime and manga that I have seen/read as well as my views on them. I'll also post about my original stories from time to time.

Just beware that some of my posts contain spoilers. I'll put them in spoiler tags just in case.

KAAMP's history: KAAMP was created in July 2002 by yours truly. It was a sloppy-looking website on Yahoo's now defunct Geocities. I posted my anime fan art on that site. Also, for a time, I posted my thoughts on the few anime series that I had seen. Now that I look back on it, my thoughts were rather ill-informed (is that even a word?) because I had only seen bits and pieces of anime dubs. Now that I've seen more series, I think that my commentary on various anime will be a little better than before.

So, come on in and stay awhile! KAAMP is now in session.

Launching New World(s) for the New Year

Just as the title says, I'll be launching one or two new Worlds next year (which is conveniently just around the corner).

The first one is Art Evolution. I stated in a previous post that it's just a place to post old art. Anyone who wants to guest post can either comment here or PM me. You can join in at any time.

The second one (title pending, but I'm probably going to call it The Bounce House) is kind of a random World. Basically anyone can post anything-- as long as it has some substance. Funny things are highly encouraged. Again anyone who wants go guest post can comment or PM me.

As a final note, I got some comments on my CD World. This makes me simultaneously happy and nervous. I get kind of sensitive about my musical tastes, so I'm a little afraid to read the comments. I WILL read them, though. I just need to work up the courage.

All Over the Place

The title just describes where my mind is right now. Nothing more, nothing less. Now, the post.

I have three recordings now. That means more Challenge prizes to give out. That is, if anyone enters. (One person PMed me, and I get the impression that they want to submit a wallpaper... even though it doesn't work like that.) I really do hope people enter.

Speaking of music, I know every time I bring up CD Collection World, I get mostly silence as a response. If no one submits a review request by the end of the year, I'm going to delete it.

I've started on my SS drawing. So far, so good. I'm also trying to do another drawing that's kind of ambitious. It involves a character sitting in a chair. Also, perspective which I probably messed up on really badly. Well, gotta start somewhere, right?

Lately, I've been kicking ideas around for a new World. I was thinking about random awesome junk. You know, crazy videos, pointless musings, cute photos, top tens, and the like. If anyone remembers The Watercooler, you'll know what I mean. Of course, there will be guest posters. [Insert evil grin here.]

Finally, you know how I like hosting an event every year? I'd like to do it again, but I only have one idea so far. The idea is an OC countdown, ranked by popular vote. We wouldn't be competing against each other for OC domination-- everyone would do a countdown only with the OCs they have made, and other people would vote for their favorites. It's not the best idea, so if you can think of something you'd prefer to do, let me hear it.

Worlds, Worlds, Worlds, Worlds, WORLDS!

Let's jump right into business. My CD Collection World has been updated. Click to check it out and request a review! Please request reviews. I have a bit of time on my hands due to it being Thanksgiving weekend, so I'll probably get them up soon.

I finally deleted my S.S. World. If you want to participate in this year's Fan Art S.S., Toya has you covered. Sign-ups end soon! (I'm still deciding on whether or not to sign to sign up, myself.)

Now I want to give a huge shout-out to Kita for proof-reading Survival Instincts. All the typo-catching has helped me out a ton.

Speaking of proof-reading and the like, I'm thinking about what to do with Fiction Feedback Central. Hardly anyone has been posting there. Also, the end of the year is approaching, so it's time to think of another event to host. I have some ideas sitting around SOMEWHERE in this World; I just don't know where they are. Or what they are. Suggestions are also welcome.

And now for something slightly off topic: ENTER MY CHALLENGE, DANG IT!

And now for something really off topic: Is it wrong that I went shopping today? I mean, it's "Black Friday" and all. I didn't camp outside the store or anything; I just bought some colored pens at an art store. Now I feel bad about that.

And now, to get back on topic: Don't forget to ask me for an album review!

Loose Ends

I had originally intended to post the next chapters of Survival Instincts one by one, but I think I'll be posting four at once early next month. And by next month I mean the one that's coming up in a few hours. Heck, if you live across the pond, it's ALREADY next month.

I hope that in the near future I can get some drawings up too. I've started about 10, but haven't finished any of them. @_@

Also, I gotta get my rear in gear in regard to my CD Collection World. I haven't even listed my collection. Or do you guys even care?

My latest Challenge is ending. Unfortunately, there weren't many entries, so I'm just going to announce two winners.

I've been thinking about updating my K.A.A.M.P. World intro. I just don't know what to say (and how much). Thoughts?

Feeling Self-Conscious

I'm starting to think about my neglected Worlds, namely "Wanna-Be Rock Star Diary", "CD Collection", and "Wanted!". I'll dedicate a paragraph to each one, and what I want to do with it.

Wanted!: If you don't mind, I think I'm just going to delete this one. Although I liked the concept, and thought it would be helpful, it never really took off.

Wanna-Be Rock Star Diary: I never update it. In fact, I think it's been about a year since I touched it. I'll either delete it or make it private until I actually have some musical experiences. Like gigging with a band.

CD Collection: Here's where the title of this post comes in. If you've noticed, "CD Collection" doesn't have any posts at all-- just an intro. It doesn't even have a master list of all of my CDs. This is because I'm self-conscious about my musical taste. I know I have no reason to be; theO is a supportive, friendly place, after all. I'm just afraid that I might anger some people. I have some strong opinions on certain albums, and I've been known to get into arguments about them. Also, in some cases, my opinions are uninformed. I'd like to learn more about certain artists/bands and their music, but I'm afraid to do research, because music is a loaded topic for me, and I might make myself upset. If anyone is still interested in reading my album reviews, speak now. I might delete that World as well.
