The banner I made as part of my Digital Design final project (this class, and figure drawing class, and last 2 other general ed classes--yay!--are why I've been so inactive). I didn't get to take a picture of the physical portfolio we had to make, but I saved the files so I can just remake it quite easily and show you.
Will be uploading some art soon.
--in the middle of inking. I don't know where it is, but until someone reinstalls Manga Studio on my computer, LoveNote is ONCE AGAIN postponed. I'm really sorry to those of you who were looking to my 68 page one shot gamer romance, but it looks like it'll be a while.
In other news: I need commissions. I have to raise $145 for a plane ticket to Tallahassee on March 1st and another $200 for another plane ticket on April 30th. Thankfully, after April I will no longer need to raise money like this in such a short amount of time.
I've pretty much willing to draw whatever for cash, as long as it's not pornographic (nekid activities and such). I can even draw you a comic if you have a story you can't draw yourself or you would like to see in my style. Or, if you simply want an illustration of your choosing, I can definitely do that for you. For a price (hence, commission).
Character Sketch: $5
Black and White Comic Strip: $8
Full Black and White Comic: $10/page
Since Manga Studio isn't available at the moment, I'll be using traditional inking and pencil methods, as well as Photoshop CS6.

Chibi-Pa didn’t go as I had planned. Even with help, I wasn’t able to finish inking all 67 pages (that’s right, 67 pages of pure comic). So, with finals week being all this week only, for me at least, I can focus on finishing the inking and tones after this Thursday. Give me a couple weeks for that and you guys will have a geeky love comic to read.
If you've been paying attention to my tumblr, you would've seen I was doing the finishing touches to the cover today to upload to the printing service. I added in the eye details last minute so that they would look like they have a soul. The back cover is just the background design. I wanted to add a description, but let’s be honest—I suck at that. I’ll end up either giving everything away or just not explain what it’s about at all.
I’ll be so upset if these don’t come in time. They’re supposed to be in “on or before Wednesday November 14, 2012”, which is only 2 days before the convention. Which is 2 days to put the books together BY HAND. Oh, procrastination.
For those of you who want a copy of LoveNote, I'll be putting it on sale November 18, 2012 on the last day of the Chibi Pa convention. Even though I'll only have 50 copies made, I doubt I'd be able to sell them all.
I ran out of room in my other one. This one was much much easier than the one I sewed together with dental floss:
I used one of those handy dandy book binding jigs Gui whipped up for me and used Elmer’s contact cement to perfect bind the pages together (one signature was just one 8.5x11inch sheet folded in half, it works nicely). Then when those were semi-set, I stuck the cardboard cover on with more contact cement on the spine and it’s setting now. Supposedly after an hour it’s all good, but I’ll let it rest overnight before I dive into doodling.
