Hey hey, I'm Kastom.

I don't like talking about myself, so, uh...yeah. lol. I'm a major gamer, I read a lot of books (physics, math, philosophy, fantasy), watch and read some anime, and spend the rest of my time being annoyed at gravity for restricting me to being able to do only one front flip at a time.

I've posted a few of the articles/essays I've written, so if you're ever interested in reading anything that I have thought about or researched, check out my articles world, Kastom's Thoughts.

And the essentials:

Kastom's Bio:

Birth date: September 10, 1989
Sex: Male
Real Name: Tomas (Tom)
Living: Ontario, Canada
Occupation: University of Waterloo Undergraduate Physics Major

And I leave you with a quote from Adam which sums me up well:
"Kastom is very smart and wise, but sometimes he acts like a n00blet..."

DS Games

Hey hey,

It was the day before, the day before Christmas.
And all through the office building, only a few creatures were stirring,
Including Kastom, but he was doing anything but working.
Looking through games for the DS,
He was in a slight bit of a mess.
"There are so many games that look good!" he cried,
"They are simply overwhelming me..." he sighed.
"There's 'The World Ends With You'..."
"And also Izuna 2.."
"Here's Super Robot Taisen OG Saga: Endless Frontier..."
"But it costs as much as a 12 case of beer!"
"Knights in the Nightmare has simply shone..."
"But it isn't currently available from Amazon." :(
"I see Glory of Heracles and Sands of Destruction (the better seems to be the latter)..."
"But they both come out next month so I wonder does it even matter?"
"Finally there is Valkyrie Profile: Covenant of the Plume..."
"But if I get it instead of Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Survivor, I may begin to fume." :(
"So I am most certainly stuck and torn."
"So my friends, me, you may either mourn,"
"Or if it suits you,"
"You can give me advice on what I should do!" :D

...
...
...

I break into poem sometimes, what of it? You wanna fight about it?

*laughs*

Basically, I want to get a new DS game (RPG) within the next month and I'm not sure what to get. I want a good balance between good game and me not having to spend much money. lol. So here are the options (I've found so far):

The World Ends With You ~$25?
Izuna 2 The Unemployed Ninja Returns $10 (the main reason I want this game is because it is rather fun, but it's freaking hella cheap on Amazon)
Super Robot Taisen OG Saga: Endless Frontier $30
Knights in Knightmare ~$? (it's unavailable on Amazon, and I haven't seen it anywhere else, but it sounds really good)
Glory of Heracles $30
Sands of Destruction $40
Valkyrie Profile: Covenant of the Plume $35
Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Survivor $40

All of these sound really quite good. So if anyone can help me choose, please do, lol.

Also, woooo! Last day of work! I'M GONNA GET SOME PHO FOR LUNCH! 8D

Laughing,

- Kastom

EDIT: MY SECTION HEAD BROUGHT WINE TO THE POTLUCK LUNCH WHICH WAS APPARENTLY TODAY SO I DIDN'T GET PHO BUT I AM MODERATELY DRUNK NOW AND ATE LOTS OF CANDY AND CHOCOLATE BUT NOW I'M GETTING UNDRUNK AND I'M SAD AND WANT MOAR WINE :(

Week-ness

Hey hey,

Crap it's cold today. I'm not use to this weather yet for this winter :P Leaving for work this morning it was -25 (-13 in farenheit after a quick Internet conversion).

I have high hopes for this winter now. A fair amount of snow aleady (~2 feet-ish) and cold-ish weather. Awesome!

So I've started playing this game with my brother that he got on Wednesday. It's The Legend of Spyro: Dawn of the Dragon. Having never played any of the Spyro games, I only had to go on what I've heard about them. Though I do know enough to know that this game is quite different from the originals.

The game itself is mediocre, but one simple aspect makes it soooo awesome: it has co-op! So my brother and I have been playing through it. And man, co-op adventure/RPGs are so amazing. I always love finding games like this.

I'm going skiing tomorrow with two friends, so that will be fun. First ski of the season! Wooo! We're just going to a extremely tiny local hill, but meh, I can practice doing random tricks and crap I suppose XD

Anyways, I'm going to eat some Cheerios now, since I suddenly feel very hungry and sick O_o

Waiting for holidays,

- Kastom

EDIT: Just checked up on Card Sagas Wars. There's a new vid up for a new feature: Support Cards! Man, I just cannot get over how excited I am to see this game finally released. I wonder if that will ever happen, lol. I've been watching it for almost two years now...

*laughs*

Words for the Weekend

Hey hey,

So I had a pretty sweet weekend.

Saturday went to the Ottawa Senators (hockey, NHL, for those that don't know XP) game. Normally I'd just be like, yeah, sure, going to a game is fun and all. I'm not really that into hockey. But you know what was awesome about it? We got to be in freaking PRIVATE BOOTH SEATS.

Ugh, it was amazing.

My Dad got four tickets from work, from one of the companies he contracts work out to. Basically, as a holiday thank you thingy for him giving them so much work, they gave him these for tickets to use their booth that the company has rented out. Man, I cannot describe how awesome it was.

Like, it looked like a small, fancy hotel room. Sliding glass doors that lead to our own little balcony thing to watch the game (yes, we were actually sectioned off from the peasants rest of the people (other than other booth people)).

I kid, I kid. XD

Anyways, like, so amazing. We had free food (tons of pizza, hot dogs, fries, tons of things) all brought to our booth by caterers. And there was also tons of free alcohol! XD lol! It was amazing! Free beer, free wine! By brother and I found it hilarious drinking wine at a hockey game, lol, it seemed so inappropriate. Hahahahahhaa...

Also, we had our own private bathroom! Which was nice also because it was so close (and those that know about "Tom Bladder" as it has come to be called...), especially with all the booze I was drinking, lol.

The game itself was fun of course. Sens won over Carolina 4-2. It was sweet.

And then yesterday I just hung out around home. Played around in the snow...and proceeded to hurt myself a bunch. lol. I fell of one of our shed roofs, lol. IT WAS SLIPPERY AND DIDN'T LOOK IT WHEN I JUMPED TO IT FROM THE TREE!

Hahahahaha...

So between doing flips and falling and stuff outside, and doing a heavy workout last night, I am soooo sore today. My neck and shoulders make it hard for me to turn my head DX

*WHINE*

Hahahahhaha

Anyways, I should possibly get back to work, lol. I'm still at work until Christmas Eve which I'm going to take off. Since my co-op goes until April, I only get the normal Government holidays, so any other days I want off I have to take off, like, no pay (since as a student, I get no holidays, lol).

So I'm going to most likely take the week after Christmas off. I want at least SOME time off.

Slacking off in the Chat room,

- Kastom

P.S. Also, I changed my avi, wanting one with a Santa hat SINCE SO MANY OTHERS ARE LIKE THAT NOW. lol. And also got a (pretty freaking awesome in my opinion) pic that I turned into a boring ecard (I couldn't think of a good caption). lol. I was also thinking of making a wallpaper out of it, but didn't feel like playing around in Photoshop yesterday, lol.

*dies*

I AM SO EXHAUSTED I SPENT THE ENTIRE DAY READING ARTICLES, LEGAL DOCUMENTS, TALKING TO PEOPLE, AND WRITING COMMENTS, ALL PERTAINING TO THAT NEWS NUGGET ON CANADA AND LAWS AND STUFF.

I am so brain fried ;_;

But I think I've gotten to at least a point where I am not at war with myself. My last (or second last actually) comment, the one in reply to Ace, seems to finally have enabled me to get to a point where I feel that I can just finally rest, and not flit back and forth between two sides of this issue.

Anyways, if you have time to read 50 bajillion comments, check it out. I personally think this is a pretty big issue (at the very least for Canadians).

And Pleiades, I'm looking at you to help me out with my thoughts.

*laughs tiredly*

Dieing,

- Kastom

Life is full of ups and downs, and sometimes the up is on the down

Hey hey everyone,

So yeah, haven't done much in terms of life posting here in a bit. These past few weeks have been...moderately crazy.

A bunch of stuff with Kat has been going on. I'll just leave it at that I'm feeling happy and apprehensive (and that things are more or less ok for anyone that cares to know).

And, something that you guys may find interesting:

I BOUGHT A DS LITE.

I AM HAPPY. BUT I HAVEN'T PLAYED ANYTHING ON IT YET BECAUSE I AM STILL AT WORK. OH WELL. MAYBE I'LL GO SIT IN THE BATHROOM FOR A FEW HOURS AND PLAY. NONE OF MY COWORKERS ARE HERE SO NO ONE WOULD NOTICE.

*laughs*

Anyways, bought Chrono Trigger along with it (the best game ever seemed appropriate for this momentous occasion). And now begins my struggle in stopping myself from buying tons of games. THERE ARE JUST SO MANY GAMES I NEED/WANT. I saw Riviera used for sale in the Microplay when I bought my DS, and was like, "....I MUST HAVE." But I figured I'd wait on it, since I'll be too busy playing CT (I have played Riviera, just like, two years ago). Also ALMOST got Phantasy Star Zero. I REALLY WANT IT. I have Phantasy Star for GC, and man...that game got SO made worth the money (Inphinity can attest to that, lol). It's definitely in my top five games of most played games ever.

Anyways, now I'm trying to figure out just what are the best games I should get for the DS/GBA. There are soooo many I want, but due to money constraints, I only want the best/cheap. So everyone, it's your turn to say what you think I should get. I do consider my self quite the aficionado when it comes to games, but getting suggestions from friends is always a good thing :)

Also, this excited me greatly. Lufia II for the SNES was one of my fav games.

Finally, I've recently got myself really into two new musicians. LIGHTS, and Owl City. Ugh, they're both soooooo goooood. This morning I have been listening to Vanilla Twilight on repeat. I just find the music so good, and the words...so sweet (and it makes me think of Kat ^///^).

Anyways, I'll talk to you all later! And remember, if any of you are ever bored during the day, some into the chatroom. I lurk there constantly at work, lol!

Feeling good about how this week has started off,

- Kastom

P.S. Has anyone noticed that I've started using emoticons? I felt that words just weren't enough to express my awesome emotions :P
