Chapter I:
It's fate when pieces of you falls apart but it's your choice what piece you take with you after that.
"Where am I" she asks but there's no one to answer. Standing cold and alone, everything is dark while the sky is stained of crimson red.
"This place..it's different" as she walks by the houses burnt, fear was growing inside of her. "But somehow, I feel like I've been here."
A deserted place filled with hopes and dreams wasted into ashes. No traces of memories left to reflect, except for a rugged doll left under the debris. She tried to take it but the weak roof suddenly gave down and burn the poor rugged doll. It was sad even for a inanimate thing but it was hopeless.
She wrap her arms around her as it was getting much colder. She continues to look for signs of life though a bit scared but determined.
There was a whisper but not so clear, as though the wind playing tricks. But she heard it again and then she ran to follow the noises growing deep. It calls for her, the whispers then later became voices, but then she heard someone screaming. She stopped running having second thoughts if ever she needed to go any further. But it wasn't her choice, the screams seem to be dawning near.
She clutches her fist tightly hoping someone was there holding her. The yells and cries of people surrounds her. She can barely take it, knelt down and press her hands against her ears. Hoping it will go away.
Moments later, the noises stopped and thought it was all over. but when she opened her eyes and to see dead bodies was scattered everywhere. All over the plane.
Kawari Inochi
Kawari Inochi (Alternative Life in English) a novel I've been working on for over 10 years (Woah! That's long) But unfortunately over the years I have yet finished the story in writing. Inspired from stories of various anime and Tetsuya Nomura's work, I was bound to create my own world of fantasy and adventure.
Kawari Inochi, set in a different alternate world called Ethereal (please search the meaning) where deities live and rule over the humans. But that was until a war had broken out and humans raged against their creators and took over the world.
One girl was saved and was carried to another world where she was to be kept safe and hidden until the right time she must return to Ethereal. But because that girl was traumatized from what had happened, she felt it would be best if she erased all her memories of her own identity. After 3 years living as a normal human being, one day she was suddenly transported to another world. unknowingly, back to Ethereal.
