Well I went to my appointment. For one, I don't really feel like she listened to me too much. It seemed like she was preoccupied with something in a way. I told her about the pain in my head and she kept calling it "headaches." Trust me, I know what a headache feels like, and what's been going on for the past couple weeks wasn't that. However, I've been having ear trouble as well, so she basically gave me some allergy spray and pills. That's been helping my ear at least. Also I have muscle relaxants for my stress whenever I'm tense. I think I'll only take those during the weekend, as they really pack a punch and I have difficulty waking up the next day. At least I'm able to get a good sleep, though. She said if the problem got worse then I should go back. I haven't had an appointment in a while because I figure that I'd just be wasting the insurance money. I experience a range of small pains on an almost daily basis, so it's more efficient to just deal with them. But yeah, if it's really bad then I should go back. For now, I'll see if the sharp and throbbing pains go away after using the allgery stuff. *shrugs* I think they're separate matters, but hey, I'm no doctor.
On another note, I managed to type up a few more pages of Raine's post after reading two chapters for one of my classes. While I was waiting for my appt, I decided to make a list of what needed to be done this week. I usually keep everything in my head, but that might be why I'm having so many problems XD;; Seeing it on paper makes it seem slightly less daunting. and a few of those tasks aren't due next week. But I need to get crackin' nonetheless. *nods* Well, time to get ready for bed and take my meds XD;; Rhymes... X3 Ja ne, minna~ =3
Well, I don't usually go to the doctor's, but I figured this time, I really should.
For the past couple weeks, I've been having this pain in the side of my head and it hasn't gone away. It started where I thought I felt a lump on the side, but since I couln't see anything on the outside, I just figured it was my skull and I never really noticed before. But steadily, I started feeling pains. I still wasn't planning on doing anything, but yesterday, I started feeling occasional sharp, stabbing pains in that area. It's got me a bit worried, so I set myself an appointment. So I'll be going next Thursday, if it maintains about the same status. If it gets worse, I guess I'll have to go to urgent care. Let's hope the doctor can do something to help it quickly, cuz it's getting harder to focus on schoolwork.
On a lighter note, I actually enjoyed my Valentine's day. I usually spend my valentine's sitting around wishing someone would confess or give me a card or something. This year, I decided to throw that out the window, and I got my friend, the guy I like, a card. I was going to make one, but I went with my mom when she was getting cards, so I was looking through them just for fun, and I found this really funny one XD I liked it so much I said "You know what, I'll get this for Neb." So after he gave me a ride home after class, I gave him the card and he liked it and was really happy that I gave him one. =^_^= I don't care that he didn't give me anything, because the card was a surprise in the first place XD As well, I feel proud that I had the courage to give someone a card for a change. Also, it feels good to give and see the person light up as they read your card <3 *happy* I just feel like even if you don't have a "special someone" you should do something that makes you feel happy. If no one else is showing you any love, then you should sho yourself some, because, quite frankly, when you do that, you shine =) (However, I still have small jealousy issues XD lolz So I might look a bit sour if I see a guy I like flirting with other girls. Although not much I can do but show what a great person I can be =3)
I feel like I'm finally coming out of that rut I'd been in where I'd been feeling empty. I'm glad of that because it was not a good feeling =^_^;= School is going well, so far. And I finally finished the thumbnails for my senior project! Yeah... it may not sound like a lot of work, but for me, personally, pre-planning with storyboards is difficult because I have to be patient when I would rather jump right into the finished product. (Which is why you guys rarely see sketches from me XD) But I need to exercise those skills, too, so I think after I graduate (if not before) I'll draw and submit more sketches. =3 I'll finally have the time to go out and practice buildings and landscapes =3 Also, I have sketchbooks and spare paper that needs filling XD
Well, that's all for now. My head's hurting again, so I'mma hit the hay... gotta be up early for class tomorrow XD Ja, mata ne and Happy belated Valentine's Day =D <3 xoxoxoxo

... fell off yesterday...
Okay, no, not realy XD But on the serious note, it was rather sore. Well, y'all know how we got about 2 ft of snow around here? Well, before the storm hit, we were parked in the back. My mom was worried just in case anything bad happened to dad, we wouldn't be able to drive him to the hospital. So my brothers and I went out and started shoveling the alleyway. Well, we were just going to shovel a section out near our house, and the boys said "Well, if she gains enough momentum, she can drive right over the snow." so they just dug trenches after a certain point. Pfft, I kknew that wasn't going to work and so did mom because you can do some serious damage to your car that way.
We were actually taking a break before the trenches, or rather, we were going to call it a day. However, at that point, my dad's hand stop functioning properly and it was shaking. We were wondering if this was him about to have another seizure. So thinking about it, my brothers went back out. I stayed inside at that point wondering if I should be helping mom with anything, however, just sitting there while my brothers were outside was bugging me, so I asked if mom would be okay inside and went to join them. Like I said, they were digging trenches and I knew that wasn't going to work, so I took the middle while they did the trenches. Although, I'm small, I have determination when I put my mind to it. Although It was staring to get to be quite a bit... So since my brother's made it to the intersection of the alleyway (both ways were still packed with snow...) They came back to help me with the center. I was joking around saying we should get recognition from the city for doing this. But then I said "Y'know, we'd be out here doing this, but I bet no one would even notice except that someone cleared it out."
A little bit after I said that, a young boy I don't really see ever came up to us with a shovel and asked if we wanted some help. We gladly accepted. He told us his dad saw us and they were going to come out and help and asked if we could help dig them out as well. So I went over to dig them out while they worked on the other end.
We worked at it pretty hard and managed to dig out toward the intersection. At this point, I needed hydration, so I went back inside and got bottled waters for us. I offered to the man (at this point, the boy stopped helping for a bit because his father kept saying he was in the way... Which made me feel bad, but I didn't say anything...), but he declined. After a while, the man kinda disappeared, but another neighbor came outside and started helping. Then another a bit further along. The little boy came back out and was between helping out and playing with the neighbor's dog X3 We were getting so much closer to the end...
At this point, my arm wasn't responding the way I wanted it to... I was tempted to go back inside, but I did not want to be the first to leave. I feel like this would be a semi historic event in our neighborhood, and I didn't want to be remembered as the "girl who almost helped finish." =>_>;= So I kept going. When I couldn't shovel, I used it to break up the frozen snow and just lugged large chunks out of the way to give my arm a break and make it easier for the others to shovel.
We were at the last stretch from the side area to the street and the sun was getting lower and the snow was getting harder to break. But we kept at it. I tried to keep going even though I was complaining in joke form. Just a bit more to go... Slowly, yet it seemed like things were picking up pace, the last bit diwnled down until I realized... there were only a few shovelfuls left...! This lifted my spirits thinking "We're almost there!" So I picked my shovel up again and dug into what I could and finally, we'd cleared it all out!
The man with the dog said he wanted to test it out. He said "If my big van can make it through, ANYONE can make it through." And it was indeed a BIG van... He had to manuever a lot, but he managed to pull it out so he could back into place so it'd be more convenient to pull out later. I was so glad we'd managed to finish!
We headed back home after thanking our neighbors and saying goodbye. At that point, my body was screaming. I knew I needed to soak, but I let my brothers go first, because once I got in, I wasn't getting back out for a while XD The doorbell rang while I was waiting, so I answered it. A lady we'd met earlier that day came to thank us and handed us a card. She said "Please share this with your brothers. I want to thank you so much for what you did out there today. And thank your mother for motivating you to get out there." Lol I took the envelope and thanked her and said goodnight. I looked at the envelope and it read "To The Three Shovelers." We hadn't done any of it for a reward, really, but it felt nice to get that recognition. =3
So, I managed to soak last night and get some rest. Thank goodness I didn't put it off, otherwise I wouldn't be able to move today XD;; Thigns are stiff, but I'm glad we managed to do it =3 Yaay~ I'll be back to normal by next week and I'm looking forward to seeing the igloos they built on campus, I heard. Sweet~ I think I'll start lifting weights after this... I need to work on my upper body strength X3 Well, that's all for this post, sorry for the novel =P lol Ja, mata~
UPDATE: Well, it seems like we are going to have the rest of the week off! =D Yaaaay~! I've been wanting a break... My schedule's a bit different now, so I get less time to rest between odd and even days. Late class on Mon/Wed and early class on Tues/Thurs. X3; On the downside, I don't get to see Neb, but that's fine because I'm sure he needs a break waaaay more than I do. I'll see him next week, anyway. =3

And they didn't even let me finish all the character quests =;_;= Also, I hear there are multiple endings to the game, but there's one bad ending and so far, I think it's leaning towards that one =;_;= Not cool... I didn't want it to end so soon... I still have so much to synthesize! orz *sobsobsob* Well, I'll have to continue playing, but I'm still sad about it =;3;=
*sigh* Guess we're going out to shovel our neighbor's walkway... My mom's worried about the lady across the street. My brothers already shoveled a pathway for us and they're also working on the man's next door, like usual.
