In my room, writin' a thesis

Any of you guys ever done NaNoWriMo? Where you have to write 50,000 words in a month?

I did two years ago. Last year, paperwork, and this year, vast quantities more. I have to write ten more pages for a paper. For tomorrow. That's 3,000 words in a day. I feel like I'm doing NaNo all over again, except I can't write a fiction story.

You guys might even enjoy the paper I'm working on. Its about... Space Battleship Yamato and Disgaea. It makes complete sense, I assure you.

Relief

Down to just three more papers to end the semester. Working on one now. Leaving for home in less than 48 hours.

Thank goodness.

I Take Back What I Said About Apple Support

Apple Support just called me. THis is the conversation...

Techie: Well, it looks like your computer has been fixed. You can come pick it up tomorrow.

Me: Ok, cool.

Techie: By the way, I saw your email address was [email protected] You like Sergeant Frog?

Me: Actually, that's a reference to CardCaptor Sakura. I've been using the same email since elementary school.

Techie: Man, that's dedication.

Me: So, I guess you like anime then, huh?

Techie: Uhm... maybe. (Awkward pause) Well, have a good night!

Ire

I'm not one to really complain about customer service. I know how hard these people work.

BUT when I get a call from the Apple Store, where my computer is supposed to be fixed and returned, which is a half hour away by car, forcing me to work my schedule around the public bus system, and, upon my arrival the computer is NOT fixed... well...

Apple needs to check to see if the repairs they said they would do were actually preformed (ie turn on and CHECK the computer) before retuning it.
