I was reading a story in English class, where a child is locked in a closet, and it reminded me of Mira. So, I scribbled a little text about it. Hope you'll like it ^^
In a basement, under the simple building of East City’s military headquarters, or perhaps in the cellar of an abandoned building, was a room. Its intimidating iron door was locked tight and there were no windows. It was completely plunged in darkness, except for a dim light, illuminating the room’s rock dark floor and exposing its cement walls but partially. Nonetheless, the light was too weak to brighten the cellar’s corners, so they remained in the clutches of darkness.
And there, it sat. The monster in the closet.
It embraced its knees, its head hanged slightly above them, its face hid behind a curtain of light brown hair. It sat there, alone, motionless, in the dark.
Hours would pass, and the creature would not move, not an inch, not a centimetre. It sat there, like a statue. It looked like a statue, for it didn’t seem to even breathe. Yet, a closer observation showed that it did breathe indeed. It breathed like a human being. It breathed in, it breathed out.
The monster acted awfully like a human being. It even looked like a human being. How strange.
Withal, there was no mystery floating around this extraordinary creature, for it was no monster. It sat on its buttocks. It had a pair of arms and legs. It had a head, where lodged a brain, thus, it thought. It had a chest, where a heart lived, although its beating was eerily slow.
The monster was a human being. It was a girl, a young one, who had accomplished fourteen years of her life. And there she sat, alone, motionless, in the dark.
What was this innocent girl doing in this horrid place?
Why was she locked away from the world in this vile place?
Because hatred consumed her heart away. Her mind clouded with ominous thoughts. Her eyes held the desire of murder. She became a potentially serious threat to mankind. She was a killer, a mass murderer. She was the Destroyer of Humanity.
She was the 21st Carrier,
That went by the name of
Mila.
