Even though I never moved, I, too, had to let go of a lot of people. One of them still goes to my school. We were so close in grade school, but it middle school she began to hang out with people who didn't like me because I'm kinda weird. I had to let her go because I just couldn't be around those people with them making it no secret that they didn't want me around. It was plain to me that if there was ever conflict she wouldn't take my side, and that would hurt even worse. So she and I drifted apart. I had to let go of others who moved away, but that was one of my hardest experiences because I still see her in school and I still miss her very much.
Happiness can be found, even in the darkest of times, if one only remembers to turn on the light.
