The Power of Mint

HELLOs. MintIceCream here(MIC for short) tis a world about me, and the crazy antics of my 5 cats that just love to drive me nuts.

i recently graduated from college with a BS degree in education, certified for art (I'm an art teacher). i currently sub teach while i shop for a job in my content area.

Mindy-my cat, she's a white cat with tabby splotches all over. She's 15 years old, nonsocial, phychotic, and crazy. But i love her all the same.

Texa-my dad's cat primarily, he has a tuxedo style coat. black with a white strip down his belly, on his paws, and the lower half of his face. he's also a manx(no tail) and very talkative. a gentle giant, very lovable, although he doesn't really like me to well. he's 11 years old. (he's also kind of a cranky old @$$)

Bogart-mom's cat. and mine sometimes. the very fat one of our family. he's 7 year old. a brown tabby who loves to raise chaos. he loves to terrorize the adults, and chew on everything. he's also a big pig and will eat anything. even though he's my mom's cat, he loves everyone. he's quite the ladies man. he prefers the company of women over men.

Sammie-Ryan's cat. 7 year old. he is all gray, with thick soft fur. the sweetest cat in the whole world. he isn't all that smart though, and kinda slow. definatley not our brightest bulb, but we love him all the same. he will do anything for a tidbit of human food, so i have managed to teach him a few tricks. his favorite food is gold fish. we try to tell him it's not a real fish, but he doesn't believe us.

Augustus (GUS for short)- everyone's cat. the newest addition to our family, we rescued him from a cousin who should be banned from owning animals. he was 5 weeks old when we got him, so tiny. he's now 3 years old. he is a miniture norwegian forrest cat. all black, orange eyes, and EXTREMLY fluffy. he is the baby of the family, and res1sident ninja/trouble-maker. he is also quite dog like. he will sit and shake paws for a treat, likes to play fetch, loves meeting new people, and go for walks on a leash and harness.

the newest addition

so its been awhile, but i was so busy with school that i kind of lost track of this place. but i graduated last december with my BS in education, certified to teach art k-12. but about 2 years ago my cousin had yet ANOTHER cat that had a litter (she should be banned form having animals). she then procedded to give the kittens away at 4/5 weeks old, which is WAY to young. some died. we rescued GUS, short for augustus. he is an all black, long-haired, orange eyed, extremly dog like cat. he is a miniture norwegian forrest cat. he got daddy's breed, but momma's shortness. poor guy. he makes up for his shortness in massive energy. he loves to chase/terrorize/prnk the older cats. which is a good thing, because they are fat and need the exercise. he is our family cat, he never did pick one specific person to claim and love, he loves all. even the strangers that come to our door.

bloody hands

i finally printed my 2 color print today. it's due in a week. but my teacher is in the hospital, so we have to take pictures and email them to him. my print is red and black. but i forgot to put some gloves on when i started and i got red ink all over my hands. it looked like i had killed someone. even now, after i've washed my hands about 6 times, my hands are still stained. my hands are stained a light orange, and i have dark red and black stains on my wrists. i wonder how long it will take me to get rid of these stains.

IT'S FINALLY FIXED :D!!!!

i have my car back!!! yay! for the past few weeks it has been making a funny rattling noise. but my car also squeaks (which is a normal thing). so i thought nothing of the rattling. but then it started popping, and the frame of my car seemed to be shaky. so i took it in to get it checked out. turns our my ball joint, tie rod, and something that looks like a dog bone were all worn out. basically all the things holding my tires on to my car were broken. but now my car is fixed, and back home with me.

newbies

there was a new bagger at work today. at first she was just training, so she didn't bother us. then patra set her lose, and she was a huge pain in the butt. evidently she used to be a bagger years ago. so she insisted that she knew how to bag and the way our line system works. but she doesn't. she's a complete moron, to be blunt. we tried being nice, patient, gentle. we tried to explain, no, things are different now. we tried to show her our new system. but she refused to listen. she was stubborn and knew everything. but how can you know anything at all when your a NEWBIE!!! >.< grrrr!!!!! i hate newbies that are know-it-alls. just a pain in my rear is what they are. so we all got fed up, and started snapping at her when she did something stupid that we already explained to her a million times. even patra started getting frustrated, and even grabbed her hand once and drug her forcefully to where she was SUPPOSED to be at that moment. what a pain.

but on the bright side, her is a HILARIOUS kitty commercial that is super short.

campus security

i've gotten to know he security people at my campus really well this week. on tuesday, i was mixing paint in the paint shop, and tossed my keys in my paint shoe box, because they were in my way and annoying me. then i put my box in my locker, and locked them in. so campus security had to come and cut my lock so i could get my keys. then today i locked my keys in my car, and they had to come and pry their way into my car, and unlock it. >.< grrr. i really hate my forgetfulness. what a pain.
