It has been quite some time since I posted something here. I hope that everyone is doing well.
Thinking today it came to my mind that I didn't share my anime list here from, well, myanimelist.net. I made it recently, about two months ago.

Scores are more or less both subjective and objective from my point of view, meaning that each anime can be better or worse, depending on your view of course. Also, my plan to watch list is actually much bigger. In fact, like with many of you I bet, I add more anime that I manage to watch.

Haven't I used that title before..? Maybe, but it is as random and serious as anything I post here, so it will do! :D
How are you doing here? I know that I don't post posts that frequently in these past few days (months..), but I am always lurking here and always enjoy talking with you.
My life is overflowed with studying. I chose a very hard course and am on a very, well let's just say, position that requires you to always be in front of current timeline, so it is taking away my time and stressing a lot, no matter how much I want to actually make gifts for you all here...
But when night finally falls down I usually do exercises to loose all the energy which I couldn't for always being shut in and then I try to relax with anime.
I just finished Toradora! after two years of delay and I loved it. It was a very heartwarming anime, probably one of my favorites.
Other anime that I am watching now is Hetalia. Again, after many delays. All I have to say about it is that for someone who research history as his hobby and in his spare time, this is one of the best ideas. One of best comedy anime for me personally.
So that was from me, a small update. I wouldn't want to bore you all with all the details, but I also felt an obligation to update here and still be in contact with you all. Even being far away, we are still somehow connected.

I always like when I see a member here with an otakuite or otakuite+ status. It reminds me that there are still active new members here and it also reminds me on how it was back when I just joined this site...
I wonder if it is the same for them?
This time, a symbolic title which might understand those that know and those that watched this certain anime...
I just finished watching the latest release from Studio Ghibli, From up on Poppy Hill.
It was the second movie by Goro Miyazaki, son of famous Hayao Miyazaki. The first one was average, but this was has every right to call itself a Studio Ghibli movie.
While not as deep and driven as some others (especially from his father), I still enjoyed every second of it and it felt nice seeing a new Ghibli movie after all this time.
The story in the beginning is slow, but it catches on pretty fast. It also has a lot of background info and is based around real story events (everything is happening during the preparation of Japan's 1964 Olympic games and it is symbolic in showing the rising of Japan and its people once again from deep sleep and depression).
It also has some of the standard Ghibli humor which I really like and find refreshing and new to this they also feature love, though in this case forbidden love. But is it really? I don't want to spoil anything, so you will have to watch it yourself.
For anyone wanting a refreshing and nice anime movie go for this one. I think that they are also touring some USA and European theaters, so if you happen to come across one of those, I would recommend not passing this opportunity.

Hello everyone~!^^ I am doing somewhat a collaboration with Ana (animegirl171) where we watch the first episode of an anime that we almost don't know anything about and then we write our thoughts during the episode that we watched.
So these are true and almost identical thoughts that I had while watching the first episode of this anime title Katanagatari.
Be sure to go and read one of Ana as well (click here) to see a whole different point of view (or maybe not, it could be similar :3).
~ Wait, this is almost fifty minutes long?? Ow man.... Ah well, it kinda makes it unique knowing that it is not OVA
~ That guy looks like Yuri from Tales of Vesperia, wait... nah, probably not.. It does have nice flame effects though.^^
~ They sure show that nice girl and that guy a lot in the opening. I am looking forward to see what will happen!
~ And just when I thougt that they had nice backgrounds and scenary and body porportions... Look at those eyes!! Ah, I can just put is as another unique thing about it.
~ Hmmmm... so that's his sister.. I guess there won't be a love connection then. Ah who knows, this is a Japanese anime, anything is possible.
~ AH, so here is that girl from the opening! Hm... missed...
~ Huh, so all characters here have quite long hairs? .. Should concetrate more on the actual plot actually.
~ Heh, they do use light comedy here. That's nice.
~ That main character reminds me on Goku from Dragon Ball.. I guess because in the way of martial arts and.. um, not thinking?
~ There is a lot of talk in this episode. A "lot". But I guess it is only for the first one to explain the main plot. Kinda remainds me on some RPGs...
~ *weird looking eye appearing* "Fall in love with me" ... Um, that was faster than I expected. o.o *get attacked* ah that will still have to wait.
~ "Does anyone from the mainland talk this much?" <- words from the main character. Thank you! You just stole the words from my mouth.
~ There are 12 katanas for them to get and 12 episodes of this anime. I can see a pattern here.
~ Man, do they talk much........
~ I find it interesting that that girl has white hair. I mean, you don't see much in life, well except for... older woman, but.. yeah, sounds weird, what?! That guy transformed into that girl? And he/she is naked?? Hm, good way with the hair to cover the crucial parts...
~ I just figured to pay closer atention to the soundtrack. It is good, by now decent, but it fits the role. Voice acting is decent as well, nothing special, but I like how they managed to voice of the main guy. It fits his personality.
~ Oh wow, the animations from that attack were somewhat flashy.
~ Now that I just think about it, if I were living alone with my sister on a remote island for my whole life, I would either fall in love with her, or definitely fall in love with the first girl that I would see.. *10 seconds latter, the main character says that he has fallen in love with that white haired girl* Whaaaat? Maybe he can read my mind..
~ They do mention 'fallen for' , but maybe it is not generally love, though it should be... Ah, the episode is almost at end, better pay attention!
~ The credits role... for some reasons. Well anways, it seems that this episode at end and next to the nice ending song, I think that I actually enjoyed this one. It seems that it will only get better and while some things are just cliche and not original, it is still original anime on itself.
~ .. *sees the preview of the next episode* Oh, they are hugging and kissing on the floor already?! That was... well yeah.
