Last day of school

Be prepared for a bit of a novel here, okay? Because, except for next week's exams, today is my last day of high school. Ever. Wow. I can't even believe it. But I also can't wait.

Today we pulled our senior prank and I have to say, ours was the best of all I've seen in my years at this school. Next year's juniors will have a hard time topping this. The first thing anyone noticed upon arriving at the school was that a bunch of seniors had gotten there early and parked in a ring around the lower parking lot, blocking it off to everyone else. "2013" "Like a 13OSS" and "seniors" were written all over the ground and the windows inside and outside of the school. In the front entrance we made a bloody sign saying "the chamber of secrets has been opened" and hung the school mascot costume by its tail. Through the halls black and purple streamers were hung, and more huge signs with "seniors" and "2013". In the front hall we rolled out a purple plastic path on the floor (black and purple are our class colors) and we scattered purple feathers, confetti, and glitter through the halls. But the best part was yet to come. A couple seniors set up a tailgate party in the blocked-off with a grill and made breakfast, including donuts and pancakes and bacon. We blared music and refused to let anyone but seniors into the parking lot. The whole thing was awesome. Smaller pranks included bringing squirt guns and water balloons and pelting the incoming freshmen during move-up day and planning an impromptu dance party in the halls during 6th period. As a senior class I think we win. I mean, for bacon alone, we win.

And now I have to pack up for college orientation. I'll be there all weekend choosing my schedule and classes and finding my dorm. And then after that, all I have to do is pass my Spanish and Math exams, go to graduation, and I am DONE with this place and heading off to college.
