Part 7: The Attack.

The dragon finally made his move to attack me. I closed my eyes tightly while giving a shrill scream. Wait, why did the attack didn’t hit me yet? I slowly shifted my eyes and saw Captain Kenny who was now facing towards the dragon, ready for a battle. The dragon growled fiercely towards his appearance and now, the heavy-downpour started to take place.

“We are so going to have a talk after this,” He said angrily.

I couldn’t reply him instead of nodding for his dictions as tears kept rushing down my cheeks that I was so scared just a minute ago. He continued his fight with that beastly creature and slashed it hardly until it died. As expected from the Devil of the Sea. He stood upon me and was glaring at me with an angry look. I couldn’t lift my head and show my tears at him. He gave a heavy sigh and took off his clothes to wrap my injured sole.

“No, don’t! You’ll catch a cold if you do so. You can’t walk bare-skinned,” I declined.
“Please don’t scare me like that. Is it that fun to make me worried?” He said while wrapping my sole.
“But...”

He lifted me and carried me, “We must find a place for shelter if not we’ll freeze to death.”

We managed to settle inside a cave and had a shelter there. It was nearing twilight and I was worried about Chast.

“Chast went to me and told me everything. He’s fine in an inn...” He uttered as if he knew what I was thinking.
“Are you sure that you’re okay? You look very cold,” I said anxiously.
“Whose fault to start with?” He replied.

I went to him and hugged him with tears in my eyes, saying, “Sorry and thank you.”

Instead of shoving me away, he dragged me nearer, “It’s okay. Mind sharing your body temperature? It’s cold like hell.”

I nodded. His sturdy body was very cold since he was bare-skinned and we did get drenched from the rain. We kept staying at each other’s side to keep us warm until we fell asleep.

The next morning, I woke up and got myself lying at his chest. I jolted away and was in complete embarrassment. When I looked at him again, he looked really defenceless in that state. He must have been tired from last night’s battle. He opened his eyes and saw me sitting next to him. He rubbed his eyes with his right hand and turned towards me, “Let’s head back to where Chast is waiting. I bet he’s worried to death.”

I nodded.

All along the way, everyone was staring at us as if we’re a romantic couple which he was now still carrying me bare-skinned. I hid my face from their view, not trying to show my ruddy cheeks due to the embarrassment.

After a long journey, we finally managed to get to the inn where Chast was and his expression was very vivid, showing his anxiety towards my current condition. Captain Kenny didn’t even utter a word instead of continuing his way heading towards our room where Chast had slept last night and put me down on bed. He then walked away, searching for something. Chast quickly leapt out towards me and hugged me while muttering, “Thank god, you’re safe!”

I hugged him back, “Sorry for making you worried.”

Captain Kenny’s stature finally returned. He sat at the corner of the bed and took my injured leg and wrapped my sole with bandages. I was completely speechless due to his acts. Chast went out for a tour inside the inn to see if there’s something to eat for me and Captain Kenny.

Captain Kenny’s cold hazel eyes were staring deeply into mine, “Why must women be so weak and fragile?”

“Because man is made to protect us,” I replied.
“Why must we protect you? Can’t you guys live as what you are?” He asked again.
“No. Women and men need each other. A man needs a woman to give him love and comfort and in exchange, he’ll offer his protection over her,” I answered.
“But I don’t need one,” He answered briefly.
“Because you’re an alien,” I replied.
“...,” He went blank and stared at me in bewilder.
“Without us women, men cannot be born!” I pointed towards him.
“Vice versa,” He uttered a single and piercing word.
“Well, women give birth to children. Can men do that?” I asked him back.

He patted my head and grinned, “Whatever. You win.” And so, he left.

I was astounded by his peculiar behaviour. How my brain worked two times harder than usual that day to interpret some reasons on why had he not throw a tantrum at me yet for going against his orders? He usually did if any of the crew did.

Not long after that, a beastly roar filled the whole town as if to mourn over a lost thing. All people in the town was too scared to go out of their shelter and prayed for it to leave the town as what it was, unharmed. I reckoned that it was the dragon’s parent who came to avenge her or his infant. Chast held my sleeve tightly as if to ask for protection. I could do nothing than just hugging Chast for comfort and was facing towards Captain Kenny who was sighing heavily.

“Poor mother, she should’ve given her son a few educations for not entering this town whenever he wants. But, she’s too late to do so that her lovely infant is now dead,” Captain Kenny said in a grief.
“What should we do? This is my fault,” I uttered.
“Do not woe over spilled milk. We need to find a way to stop her or else no one will leave this village with their soul attaches to their body anymore,” He said firmly.
“What do we do?” I asked.
“We need to convince the mother not to be angry over her baby’s death,” He suggested.
“I’d be furious too if you killed my child,” I muttered monotonously.
“You sure do love to break a person’s mood. Have you any good idea?”

I shook my head swiftly. It’s not like I was breaking his spirit or so. It’s just that it was impossible to calm a mother who had her infant killed by a stranger. I gave a deep thought but none came to strike my head.

The door of the room swung violently as the stature of the owner of the inn stood there with a very anxious look on his face. Captain Kenny, Chast and I looked at the sweaty face of the owner who was now trying to calm himself to give out a speech or so, probably a warning since that it was the most appropriate thing to be done in such situation.

“Don’t step out at any cost until the Dragon Lord returns from his meditation at the waterfall in the east of the forest,” He said while inhaling for breath.
“Please don’t be panic. This accident always happens,” He uttered with a crooked smile.
“The one who should be calm is you, owner. I see, I think that is not a bad thing either. Please take care of my little sister and brother for a sec,” Captain Kenny slowly paced towards the doorway.
“You don’t plan on going to him right?!” The owner questioned.

I understood his smirk and decided to follow him. Unfortunately, my sole prevented me from walking anymore so I couldn’t follow him.

“You are not to follow me, Eleanor!” He ordered.
“No, let me go with you! I need to mend up this mess. Please,” I begged.
“As if you could walk with that sole of yours... You’re expecting me to carry you all the way?” He replied.

I frowned and couldn’t think of anymore excuses. He left the room and headed outdoors to search for that so called Dragon Lord. The sky turned gloomy and rain started to pour down, wetting the whole town. The owner gave himself a face-palm that he wasn’t able to stop Captain Kenny from going out of the Inn just to find the Dragon Lord to clear off this mess. I was anxious and curious of what would happen after this.

The mother dragon started to blew off fire-breath towards the highest building in the town. The gloomy and rainy sky was lit with the light of the fire that was engulfing the building. I could hear shrill screams from the fearful citizens, scattering all over the place and was running to save themselves from the dragon’s wrath.

“This is turning ugly. I don’t think this town is a safe place anymore for us to stay,” Said the owner in despair.
“Don’t give up just yet! There must be a way to stop that dragon while Cap... I mean, my brother is searching for the Dragon Lord,” I gave him as much hope as I can.
“What hope can you find in this state?” He asked.
“If, there is a miracle... I’m sure that we will be safe! My Ca... I mean, my brother won’t let us down! He’ll never let his crew down!” I replied enthusiastically.
“You’re the one to say, Sis,” Chast slightly chuckled.

The owner was astounded, “Wait, are you guys sailors?”

“Uh, I guess you can put it that way. Why?” I asked.
“I know that this is not an appropriate time but, I’d like to know where you’re from and where’re you heading to. If that is not a burden to you, that is...” He retorted.
“Well, I’m from the fisherman village, Frest. We usually stop at random port so there’s no other way in knowing where our next location is. Or, this might be the last,” I answered.
“Where’re that spirits of yours have fled to?” Chast said with a monotonous look on his face, as if saying ‘you’re the one who said it just now, didn’t you?’
“Putting that aside. If you stopped at the Ele Kingdom, please give this envelope to a certain knight there. His name is Ale deFloid,” He paused. “Well, I couldn’t find the missing princess and I’m getting my age ahead of me. So, I think this is the right time for me to retire.”
“I see. I’ll help you,” I smiled. “What about the missing princess you were talking about?”

Before he could explain, the dragon seemed to give out fire-breath towards the inn, resulting fire at the west-wing.

“No time to waste! Let us find a safe place to settle in from that ferocious dragon,” He suggested.
“That’s the best to be done,” I nodded.
“Uh, sis... The dragon seems to dislike our statures,” Chast pulled my sleeve.

The dragon’s attention was now at us! She was observing our halted statures which stunned due to intense shock received from the situation. I could only pray for our safety. The dragon finally gave her fire-breath towards us. What luck had befell us, Rio, Sweeney, Scar, Hardy and all the crews except for the captain was here!

“My, my... Where’s that baby sitter of yours, Eleanor?” Rio mocked.
“He went towards the eastern forest towards the waterfall where there, a Dragon Lord was meditating,” I explained briefly.
“And he’s?” Howard asked while pointing towards the owner.
“Oh, he’s the owner of the inn. Captain entrusted him to take care of both Chast and me,” I replied.
“How do you do?” The owner waved a gesture while quivering.
“I don’t trust this rusty old man’s strength,” Sweeney added.
“That’s why I’m retiring and opened my own inn,” He replied.
“Hey, old man. Can you wield a sword?” Alfin asked.
“I used to. I don’t think my biceps could manage to wield one anymore,” He answered.
“Told you that he’s already rusty,” Sweeney mocked.
“Forget the owner and face what’s in front of you, you idiots!” Henry exclaimed furiously.
“Yes, sir!” Both of them retorted simultaneously.

I didn’t think that they could win against the angry dragon. What could be worse than being killed by its fire-breath? Oh, captain please be hurry!

Part 6: The Town by the Beach.

Just like what he had said while barging inside my room. I couldn’t hide myself from him forever though I felt like I doing so. I had made up my mind to face him directly and let slip whatever happened recently. I walked out of my room and went towards where he was standing for a lookout beside Scar. He didn’t notice my appearance below him and I myself didn’t have enough guts to call for him. I just stood there like a statue, frozen stiff and was literally feeling like a fool.

“Oh, so you’ve finally get over your Trauma, Eleanor?” Sylvester’s voice made me jumped.

Captain Kenny who overheard Sylvester’s dictions turned his head downwards and saw us standing just below him. I gave my full speed and ran away from the scene, feeling very embarrassed. I still couldn’t overcome my trauma for losing my first kiss over that sickening captain. I wasn’t sure whether it was neither his fault nor mine but as far as what I could think, I really couldn’t face him no matter what.

I did hear some conversation between them, “What a runner. You sure are a nightmare for her captain.”

“Better zip-up or get eaten by sharks,” He threatened him.
“Awww... I know but, are you sure to keep up with this awkward situation? Well, we do feel sorry for h-e-r... I mean both of you. You better apologise Captain,” Sylvester suggested with a slight smile carved on his face.
“Why do I have to do such thing? You guys never let me apologise whenever I’m wrong,” He with his refine statement, declined.
“Well, it is okay for us guys and you didn’t steal our kisses. What I’m trying to say is a girl will be deeply hurt since that the first kiss she planned to give for the one she’ll love one day had been stolen by a... Well uh...”
“I get it. I’ll try to talk to her later,” He moaned and walked away.

Not long after that, a new island was spotted from the lookout-stand where Ronn stood since it was his turn for a lookout.

“Land ahoy!” He shouted at the top of his lung.

Captain Kenny rushed towards where Ronn was and took a spyglass and was examining the land upon him from afar. He let out a grin of relief and told the whole crew to settle there for two days rest since there’s a harbour. If there’s a harbour, there’s a town! Everyone was busy with the preparation to ‘turn’ the pirate ship into a typical sailor ship. Finn and Draken looked as if they had not enough hands to do so. Thus, the remaining of the crew without any ranks would give them a hand. I was forbid to do any works instead of cleaning and cooking.

“Ready, boys?! We’re going downtown. Any of you who do not wish to visit the town will stay behind and look for the ship,” He commanded.

I was quite curious so I whispered a question towards Chast, “Hey, Chast. Aren’t half of us needed to take care of the ship?”

“Nah, we don’t really need to do that. When it comes to a town or city, we’ll pay the compensation for the ship guarding chief. His workers will guard the ships that have paid for the compensation. Any theft or robbery during the guarding hour will be fully under his care in the other words; he’ll have to repay back the amount that lost. Usually, the merchants would pay higher price since their luggage is out of question,” He explained briefly.
“Ah, is that so. That means we can leisurely go out and enjoy ourselves without bothering for our ship since that it is well guarded, right?”
“Exactly!” Chast replied with his childish grin.

Captain finally made his last statement, “You are free to go wherever you wish for 2 days and be back sharp at Dawn on the third day to set sail. Any delay will be punished. And as for Chast and Eleanor, you guys aren’t allowed to loiter around without a caretaker. Who’d volunteer to watch over Chast?”

“Awww... capt’n, how about Eleanor?” Fredrick and the rest of the crew moaned.
“I do not trust a single maiden under your hands. Do you guys think that I do not know where your whereabouts are right after this?” Captain Kenny gave a sharp glare towards his crew mates.

All of them gulped simultaneously didn’t dare to say anymore words.

“Well, isn’t there any of you want to babysit him?” He repeated his previous question.

What a fortunate that none of them did answer for his question. Captain Kenny gave himself a face-palm and sighed, “Fine. I’ll babysit both of them. You guys can go wherever you want. Your whereabouts is none of my business anyway. Henry, Finn... Be sure to pay the compensation okay?”

“Aye, aye Capt’n,” Both of them said synchronically.
“Chast, where would you want to go?” He asked.
“Well, uh... I want to go to where people as old as me are,” He replied hesitantly.
“So, be it...” He paced away, expecting us to follow his lead along the road.

Chast trotted happily beside Captain Kenny while I was tailing them from behind, still feeling awkward from the previous incident. Chast understood the current situation and faced backwards towards me. He smiled and said, “Mama, don’t you want to walk beside Papa?”

“Huh?!” I retorted in embarrassment since everyone’s eyes were locked at us.
“Come on, Mama. Papa only gave a slight kiss. You’re just a newly-wed right?” He grinned mischievously.

Captain Kenny dragged Chast near him and gave him a slight punch on the head to make him stop his words but instead of stopping, he sobbed. I ran towards Chast and patted his head while glaring an angry look at his face, “Can’t you be a bit gentler towards him?! You always treat others badly and do you think people can stand you for doing such thing?”

“You yourself can’t even stop that kid from blurting nonsense in crowds. What do you expect me to do? He’s already 11!” He shouted back.
“But that won’t change the fact that he’s still a kid!” I replied back angrily.
“What are you, a mother? As a man, he needs to learn not to cry anymore. Do you think he can defend anyone with that cry-baby habit of his? Think deeply before saying unreasonable stuffs!” He exclaimed furiously.
“You’re such a pig-head! What, you had never cried when you’re a boy?! Don’t fool me. Everyone does!”
“In fact, I had never cried ever since I was a boy! What can you do about that fact?!” He replied fiercely.

The atmosphere was getting tighter and tighter. Everyone’s attentions were at us from the very beginning and they went on like whispering next to their friends and such. I couldn’t fight back his words anymore instead of feeling very mad and finally, I uttered, “Fine! Let’s split!”

“No can do. You know nothing about loitering around in big towns so better not part,” He replied, giving a sharp glare as if he’s saying ‘you’re trying to go up against my order?’.
“If you want Chast to be a man, just let him face his first practical that is to protect me from any danger from this town,” I was still refusing him.
“He’s still 11 you moron! A man’s strength is not yet developed during a child! Skills are needed for him to survive from the vastness of the world without any help from the grown-ups!”
“Well, I AM a grown-up!” I corrected his dictions.
“But you have no man’s strength. How are you able to live?” He asked in a sarcastic way.
“I’ll manage it somehow,” I gaped at him angrily and trotted away with Chast by my side.

His figure diminished as I paced away from him, inch by inch. The town was very enormous. I needed an inn to settle in and somehow the town was getting quite odd. The people rushed inside their houses and no one was left on roads or pavements. What a bizarre. Not a single soul was to be found as the sky was getting gloomier and gloomier. I had a bad omen for it. I turned towards Chast to check on him and he seemed quite calm and so I moved on in searching for an inn.

Suddenly, a big shadow appeared below my feet. I swiftly turned backwards and saw a hideous dragon which the size was almost the same as a grown-up. I took Chast’s hand and sped away from the creature. I knew that it was following us so; I left Chast somewhere near an inn and told him to stay there while I distract it towards the outskirt. Chast obediently listened even though he greatly against it at first.

And here I was, running towards the forest while the dragon was chasing behind me. The weather didn’t seem to help me either since the rain-drops started to pour down little by little. Once I reached the outskirt and was literally inside a forest, I hid myself among the trees to confuse it. Now, I could only pray for my safety that someone might pass and aid me as soon as possible but praying for such thing was a bit too much I guess.

The dragon finally spotted me. I was in great fear and with a mass of courage, I sped away again from my current hiding spot but things didn’t go as I planned. My sleeve was caught at a thorny tree. The dragon was drawing near. I decided to rip my sleeve and continue with this so called chasing game. I was quite bewildered in why this dragon didn’t blow any fire-breath? I couldn’t care less.

Oh, what luck had I had that day that everything was getting on my way on and on. Now I stepped on a sharp stone that was nearby and got my sole bleeding like mad. I couldn’t continue my run and now, the dragon was in front of me, ready for an attack. I shook my head in disbelieve and turned my head away from witnessing that vicious being. Would this be my end after eighteen years of living without knowing my past?

Part 5: The Battle of the Two Devils.

“What do you want from us?” I asked in fright since I’m the only girl there.
“Your captain of course,” He held my chin while replying my question.

I struggled and struggled but the Cannibals still won’t budge. Marcell just gave me that weird look of his and stated, “You need a full-man’s strength to lure yourself from their grasps.”

“At least I tried than letting myself still being in your hold,” I shouted madly.

He held my chin again and gazed at my eyes, “No wonder you are allowed on board. Such a hard-headed girl as hard as him...” He smirked and let go of my face. “I wonder what the two of you might be in the future.”

“It’s none of your business. A girl like me will never fall for that kind of man!”
“I doubt it. Your lips are still pure. A girl as old as you should have at least receives her first,” He mocked.

My face flushed with embarrassment, “Who cares, as long as I’m giving it to the right person, I won’t regret it!”

“Is that so? What if I stole it from you? That’ll make you regret, right?” He drew his face nearer towards my face.

I was completely speechless. Tears started to water my eyes as I tried to jerk backward away from him. He laughed for my oddly reactions and held his head while saying, “You’re one interesting lady. What’s your name?”

“I’ll never give my name easily towards a phony,” I replied.
“Is that so?” He drew his face nearer and was trying to kiss me again when finally; a masculine voice out of the blue prevented it.
“Get you dirty face away from my ‘she-male’ crew!” Captain Kenny exclaimed furiously.

I was astounded to see his arrival with the rest of the crews. But, what’s with the ‘she-male’ crew? He’s so going to get it!

“Ah, finally Romeo has come to save his Juliet,” He smirked sadistically.
“I guess it’s Juliet who’s saving Romeo,” He gave out one of his sadistic grin.
“Marcell, you’re still alive?! But, the explosion? I see you’re trying to save sis from those Cannibals,” Chast’s merry voice was heard throughout the tense atmosphere.
“Do you wish for my death, brat? I’m sick of your immature behaviours,” His eyes somehow turned devilish.
“Don’t call him that!” I yelled.
“Why, foster sibling’s relationship? Pooh, you’re making me sick!” He pointed his gun at my head.

Captain Kenny dashed towards where we stood and slashed the gun into two parts and pointed his blade towards Marcell’s neck, “Traitor should be punished.”

“Is it me or you who are the real traitor?” He replied.
“By what am I titled a traitor?” He frowned.
“Our master is my father and that title should be passed generation by generation for the pure-blood descendants,” He explained briefly.
“No, you’re wrong. The origin of the technique is from the other clan and it came from the Orient. The one who can master the technique perfectly will attain the name The Devil of the Sea and how come you, the son of the previous Devil of the Sea, do not know such basic thing in bearing the knowledge?” He mocked with his eyes gleamed evilly towards him.
“No, you’re lying!” He took out his sword and swung the sword towards Captain Kenny.
“Why can you not bear the truth? You, who is way weaker than me cannot be the successor of the technique. It is given for those of a pirate captain and you can’t even conduct a man for a voyage,” He provoked him.
“Silence! You are not the rightful person to say such a thing!” He paused. “Let us prove who the rightful heir for the title is!”
“As you wish.”

Finally, the Scarlet Dance had begun and both of them took their position to attack each other, life and death. Marcell recklessly attacked Captain Kenny and made his first move by dashing on the nearby lake. Captain Kenny made a big wave using his sword to reflect his attacks and made a blow for a counter attack. The attack almost hit Marcell on his right ribs since he managed to dodge his attack from hitting him. It’s time for Captain Kenny’s turn. He used his sword to make a whirlpool around him and hid himself underwater and attacked Marcell beneath his feet. Marcell jerked away. Unfortunately, he was too late that the attack slashed his left shoulder, resulting a big injury.

“Still wish to continue this fight or have you change your mind to atone your mistake. Since that we both learned exactly the same thing from the same person, never once have I doubt your intelligence in foreseeing this world as what it is,” He muttered. “Your only weakness is you do not know how to plan a strategy to do so even though you know what is to be done.”
“Talk less and continue the fight. I have nothing to atone for and I am the rightful heir for the title!” He shouted as his black long hair was thrown backwards from his sudden dash towards Captain Kenny.
“You accused me for being a hard-headed guy. What a fortunate that you head is harder than mine.”

The Dance started all over again and this time, no mercy was allowed and literally, death and life fight. You’d live if you win and die if you lose. Now, they’re fighting a serious, deadly and fierce fight which I’d say, there’s not even a single bit of mercy shown by their eyes, murderous and sarcastic. Marcell took out another sword and attacked Captain Kenny with those two blades armed. Captain Kenny avoided the attacks and swung his sword upwards to give a final blow and before he could do so, my body automatically moves towards where they were and stopped him from killing each other. He managed to stop his blade from slashing me but still an inch from my forehead.

“This is not right. You guys shouldn’t be fighting,” I exclaimed.
“Eleanor...” Almost all of the crew were saying the exact same thing and kind of touched to see my sudden reaction.
“Out of the way,” He warned.
“No. I won’t! This is so not right!” I replied back.
“OUT OF THE WAY!” His eyes reddened with anger.

Suddenly, Marcell dragged me backwards and put his sword on my neck, “Foolish little girl. Do you not know how evil I am?”

“Kill me all you want but will you be happy in the future for doing so? Don’t you feel ashamed of yourself for killing a weak girl?” I uttered without hesitation.
“My dear, I have long forgotten what is regret from a long time ago incident,” He blew at my ears that gave me goose bumps.
“You’re disgusting,” Among all the words, was that the only thing that he was to say?
“Hahaha... You can be more disgusting more than I am now,” He mocked.
“Impossible,” He stated with that one single word firmly.
“Is that it?! Is that what you have to say instead of saving me you witless Homo?!” I shouted angrily towards him.

He hastily shoved away the sword that was pointed at my neck and got his hand bled while pulling me into his hold. He smirked and said, “You’re dead after this.”

I’d love to say, “Is that the only reason why you saved me?!” but only kept on being silent. Marcell remain speechless for Captain Kenny’s action for the moment. Instead of feeling astounded, all the crew cheered with applause for his quick action. What’s wrong with this crew? Sick-heads or what?

Finally, the Cannibals finally made their move and attacked the rest of the crew. Captain Kenny whispered towards me, “I can’t fight with you in the way and I can’t let you go either or you’ll be attacked by those Cannibals.” I gave a deep thought on what I should be doing and then an idea struck my head. “You don’t have to let me go. Just let me hang on your back.”

“You’re so going to fix me something good or else I’ll kill you for calling me a Homo in front of him and making me giving you a ride on my back. I’m no vehicle okay,” He said with an angry face.
“Deal,” I gave him my thumb up.
“Whatever you’re whispering, we still have an unfinished business to settle on,” Marcell finally lost his patience.
“Close your eyes or else you’ll have nightmares,” He ordered.
“Aye, aye, Capt’n,” I closed my eyes and let the darkness prevented me from seeing the fight.

I could only hear the sword fighting but I had no idea what happened. Minutes passed and finally, everything stopped. I slowly shifted my eyes open and saw Marcell on his knees, holding his pain from being stabbed by Captain Kenny at his chest. My eyes widened. I covered my mouth with my right hand to prevent myself from screaming. This was too much from what I could handle. I wasn’t sure but what I knew was that I was shivering from that.

“This will be our last meeting on earth. We’ll meet again on the other side of the world,” He gave a slight smile.
“I don’t die that easily,” He answered.

Final breath was exhaled, Marcell deRazi died due to the loss of blood. Everything was clear now and the Devil of the Sea remained the same person. My heart pounded heavily to see such a frightening scene and I was completely speechless from that. I, who was still hanging on Captain Kenny’s tall figure that was actually his back, was frozen stiff.

“Can you let go of me now?” He asked.
“I... I’m sorry...” I replied.
“You’re saying?” He asked.
“I’m too scared that I couldn’t move a muscle right now,” I answered.
“Is that so? You’re such a troublesome tomboy,” He said while carrying me off from his back and carried me all the way towards our ship after giving Marcell a proper funeral.

On our way, everyone was walking behind captain and gave that giggles of theirs from behind. I blushed and Chast kept giving that naughty grin of his. Captain Kenny acted as if nothing happened while carrying me all the way back.

“Uh, you can let me go now. I think I can walk on by my own now,” I uttered since that I could no longer tolerate with that embarrassment.
“Can you?” He asked a bit doubtful.
“Of course,” I replied.

He slowly put me down and we finally walked normally but I was a bit stiff since my muscle still refused to move due to the sudden shock. Captain Kenny had enough of my stubbornness and pulled me backwards to offer me a help but unfortunately, my ankle somehow twisted and I fell on him and worst, we accidentally kissed. Everyone was stunned from it and both of us were shocked with it and I pushed him away from me.
“Captain finally kissed a girl!” Chast shrieked in a shock.

Captain Kenny was completely speechless and wiped his lips with his right hand. My eyes watered that my first kiss was given to a wrong person. I felt like dying and everyone was trying to console me but it was too late, I cried all the way back to the ship. Geez, what a cry baby I was being that day. The whole day, after fixing them something for dinner, I locked myself in my room until morning. I was too embarrassed especially to face that no good captain! Oh, God! Why did I join this crew? I wonder. Every time when I sensed Captain Kenny’s stature was around, I would hide myself doesn’t matter where it was. Inside a cupboard, under the table, behind the other crews, at the kitchen and mostly, I locked myself inside my own room.

One day, my door was knocked. I opened the door and saw a recognisable figure standing upon my door and quickly flung the door close. Unfortunately, he was faster and stronger that the door didn’t budge an inch.

“How long do you plan on hiding from me?” Captain Kenny asked angrily.

I was speechless. Instead of answering him, I faced away, not looking at him. He frowned and finally left. I didn’t know how to react and just let it slipped just like that. I didn’t know how to face him but somehow he seemed very angry and agitated for my behaviours. Well, I couldn’t say a word nor look at his face. I didn’t know how long this would last. Just let it be.

Part 4: Cannibals?

I did not wish to speak to him ever again after what had happened yesterday even so, I needed to know what was going on. Well, I didn’t expect any of the other crew knew about it but at least they knew a few bits of what happened right now. Neither Captain Kenny nor any of the crew spoke during our sail towards the so called Cannibal Island.

“Sis, stick together with the rest of the crew. Don’t ever get separated okay,” Chast with his sweet smile broke up the silence from the atmosphere.
“Okay, thanks for reminding me,” I smiled. “Say, how old are you Chast? And how did you manage to join this crew in your age?”
“Well, I’m 11 years old. I don’t know. Captain Kenny said there was this crazy old woman tried to eat me when I was an infant. Well, I don’t know much but he said that woman might be my mom. You see, I came from a very far land which you’d say had suffered from years of drought. Luckily he stopped her and took me away with the rest of the crew,” He explained in a very long but understandable statement.
“I see. Even the Devil of the Sea has a kind heart to even save an innocent infant from being eaten by his own desperate mother,” I put up with my own thought.
“Umm... actually, he was recruiting new crews since that the exact crew back then was very few in the list. You might say that uhh... Well, the old crews before I enter this pirate ship are Henry, our Master-at-arms, Scar, our boatswain, Hardy, our doctor, Sylvester, our carpenter, Fredrick, our gunner, Captain Kenny himself and lastly, our late cook Marcell. He was Captain’s junior while they were studying about self-defence.”
“Late Cook?! He told me that his former cook quitted due to the last fight!” I exclaimed a bit overwhelmed with fear and anger.
“Well, that’s not true. Marcell went into a fight just to save Captain but we found no trace of him after the fight except for stained clothes of his. I wish I was strong enough not to let him go for the fight. It wouldn’t turn into this if I were strong,” He blamed himself for what happened.

I patted his head and grinned to console him, “It’s not your fault. Everything has its own reason for happening during the appointed time. So, it’s definitely not your fault.”
“But, it is my fault! I didn’t stop him and even plead him to save Captain by that time! So it must be my fault!” His eyes watered with sorrows of agony and despair.

Captain Kenny who was standing nearby sat beside him and patted his head. His face didn’t look quite happy with Chast’s statement, “Don’t worry. Even if you didn’t plead for his help, he would still do that kind of foolishness of his. Don’t blame yourself for what happened.”

Chast sobbed as hard as he could as I stare at him, not being able to be any of the help while Captain Kenny was still consoling him by giving him a slight embrace with his right hand.

“Every beginning has its own end and what are left are our memories of bonds of being together. Never forget that,” He muttered.
“I will. I promise,” He wiped out his tears and gave a gesture of an ‘okay’.
“Sis, I’m hungry, can you fix me something sweet?” Chast turned towards me and gave a pleasant hug.
“Sure thing. What would you like? Chocolate? Puddings? Caramel bars?” I asked.
“Anything sweet that you can make,” He smiled.
“Okay. Want to assist me during the bake?” I asked.
“Is it okay for me to go?” Chast asked.
“Of course it is, silly. You are always welcomed,” I gave a slight kiss on his cheek.
“Captain, I’ve got a kiss from a girl! Don’t you want it too?” He mocked childishly.
“Another words and you’re dead,” He gave that scary look of his.
“Sis, save me,” He hid himself behind me.

For the first time, I laughed at Chast’s cute side, “How I wish that you are my little brother. You’re just too adorable.”

“Really? Yay! I’ve always wanted a sister. Captain, captain, can she be my sister?” He asked.
“Do whatever you like. It’s none of my concern,” He replied.
“Yay! Sis, let’s bake now!” He trotted with joy towards me and I replied him with a single nod.

After finishing baking the sweets for Chast, I went towards Fredricks room with a gloomy look of guilty on my face. I knocked the door weakly as an answer commanded me to enter the room which wasn’t locked during the time. I entered the room and gave a deep gasp since half of Fredrick’s body was coated with bandages. Tears ran down from my cheeks as I rushed my legs towards where he lay.

“If I weren’t here, this wouldn’t have happened,” I grieved over his pain.
He took out his right pale hand and patted my head, “It is okay. Didn’t I tell you that I’ll protect you? I’m honoured to do so especially seeing that you’re unhurt.”
“But it’s frustrating seeing you being hurt while I can’t do anything to defend myself,” I sobbed again.
He wiped away my tears and said, “Cry no more, my lady. It is me who was very weak that I, as a man, could not defend myself in order to save a soul of an innocent maiden.”
I frowned a bit, feeling guiltier than ever, “Well, to repay your kindness, please ask me anything that you need.”
“Then, a kiss probably?” He gave out a weak smile.

My face flushed with embarrassment. I had never for once kissed a boy and now he asked for such ridiculous request? But, he did save me but... I was not yet ready. I was about to kiss him when finally Captain Kenny entered and said, “Don’t fall for that womanizer. Hey Fred, don’t credit yourself too much. If the other crew didn’t help you, you both might die right now.”

“Womanizer?” The statement somehow was quite shocking and astonishing.
“Well, all ‘normal’ men does except for you Capt’n,” He laughed.
“Shut up. You’re trying to steal a girl’s first kiss by telling her to repay for your so called kindness? How suffocating,” He paused. “And you girl, think before you act. Don’t easily fall for that kind of man because it’s the worst thing that could happen. Got that?!”

I stood up in anger and shouted at the top of my lungs, “You guys are sick!” I hastily flung the door open and closed it with a loud ‘bang’. Tears still rushing down my cheeks as my heart ached so much. Why must this world be so harsh on me as if I had done any dreadful sin in my previous life?

I sat quietly at a secluded area and sobbed there until I was satisfied. No one was there to console me and I didn’t wish for anyone to do me that kind of favour. Somehow, that trick was very hurtful and frustrating that I lost all my confidence all at once.

Somewhere nearby, Rio came to notice that I was crying and walked beside me and asked, “Can I sit here?”

I replied him with a nod.

“I know that it’s quite shocking since that yesterday, you woke up as a normal girl and today, you’re a pirate. Yeah, I felt just the same as you when I first entered this crew. Trust me, capt’n was very mean to everyone when they first joined the crew. He sort of having this bullying essence inside him but with that, he tested his crewmates’ will whether they’re strong enough to continue this voyage. And now, it’s your turn,” He explained briefly with a single smile carved on his face.

“He ‘IS’ the Devil of the Sea,” I murmured in a shallow tone.
“Well, I can’t deny that,” He chuckled. “If you had something that’s burdening you, I don’t mind hearing them out. I have a little sister though she’s a few years younger than you. Well, what I’m trying to say is that... Please cheer up okay. I’ll be your big brother if you like.”
“Will you?” My eyes shone with excitement and the pain I grieved over just a while ago disappeared with that one little statement.
“Sure. Renka must’ve been a good brother to you, hasn’t he?” He smiled.
“Well, even though sometimes he did get on my nerves, but, he’s a protective and understanding brother,” I replied.
“Ah, good for you then.”

A voice broke up the merry atmosphere with the exclamation of, “LAND AHOY! WE’RE SETTING OFF TO THE SHORE!”

Captain Kenny went out of the ship, examining the area whether it was safe to land or vice versa. He called for our Master-at-Arms, that was Henry, and was discussing something that sounded fishy and quite interesting. Henry would frown and hold his chin for a while and talk again and hold his chin again. I was very eager to know what they were discussing about. And then, everything finished and Captain Kenny turned to me and called for my name. I went towards him with an angry face since I was still mad at him for no reason though he did save my first kiss and my life.

“Since that I cannot trust my crews to look after you, you’ll be coming with the rest of us. Since that it’s a Cannibal Island, I have a feeling that they prefer their own life compared to yours,” He explained seriously, without any smirk or evil grin carved on his face.
“I doubt that you might do the same towards me. You only value your own life other than others as well, don’t you?” I pouted sarcastically.

His face showed a bit disappointment even so, he left without words. He waved a gesture so that the half of us will follow him while the others guard the ship.

“Why did you say those mean words towards Capt’n?” Chast asked.
“Why, isn’t it true?” I replied. “He loves to get on my nerves and even when we first met, he called me a deaf woman! I hate him!”
“Well, about the bullying stuffs... I can’t deny that but, he’s not the type that’ll abandon his crew. Please don’t hate him,” Chast begged.
“Well, if you beg me that much then I won’t then,” I smiled at him to console him.
“YAY! Capt’n! Capt’n! Sis likes you!” Chast went forwards towards where Captain Kenny was.
“I doubt that that would ever happen. If so, something must’ve happened that made her head sway or so. She might as well need Hardy’s treatment,” He sneered while gaping towards me.

I had enough of his obnoxious and offensive statement, I exclaimed furiously, “I rather die than to fall in love with an immature delinquent as evil as you! Even if you’re the last man on earth, I’d prefer a donkey over you!”

“Oh, I’d love to see that. A tomboy in love with a donkey... That’s a history,” He smirked, giving his most annoying expression ever.
“Well, at least I’m still a normal girl who’d fall in love with a different sex than being a homo like you!” I replied.
“Well, a homo or not, you’re not attractive enough to make a homo like me fall for you,” He mocked.
“We’ll see who’ll fall for whom?!”
“Oh, a tomboy wants to make a homo fall in love with her? I wonder what methods she will be using after this. Oh, my... Are you planning any perverted stuffs? I’m sorry, you’re not strong enough to do so,” He laughed.
“Yucks. I’d rather die than trying to rape a homo. You ugly beast is nothing compared to Renka or Pappy. Low-life creature,” I turned my head away from seeing his irritating face.
“Ah, but that homo is stronger than both Renka and Pappy... He can even destroy that so-so mannered tomboy in just a blink of an eye,” He’s forcing me to fight back.
“You can chose to destroy me or not but then can you find a new cook?!”
“Well, I can always go from islands to islands to search for a male cook,” He sneered again.
“Why are you so against a woman?! What sin have we done to you?!” I asked with my eyes watered from anger.

He saw my expression and silenced for a while. The atmosphere has finally calmed for a bit. None of the crew dared to stop us from arguing. Chast hugged me and shook his head while saying, “Please don’t fight anymore, Sis. I don’t want to see your tears anymore.”

I answered him with a low grunt and finally, everything went on like as if nothing had happened. Not until one by one our crew was gone from our sight.

“Josh, Artney, where are you?!” I called.
“Josh, Artney, come back! Even if you want to pee, can’t you hold it for a sec?” Chast shouted.
“That won’t happen, Chast,” Brad and Rio both said in chorus.
“My bad,” He scratched his hind head hastily.

I chuckled for the cute act of his but then my mouth was shut abruptly and I was hid behind the bushes. I was so scared that I tried to fight back but they’re so strong and their hold were tight that made me unable to move. Their appearances were odd and I concluded that they’re the cannibals. I was tied and there, I saw Artney and Josh were tied up too except that they both fainted. I could hear Chast’s anxious call calling for me from afar, “Sis! Sis! Where are you?! Capt’n! Sis has gone! We must find her!”

“What?!” Captain Kenny’s voice of being in shock was vaguely heard. “That girl, I told her to stay in group!”
“Capt’n we must find her quick! If something bad happens to her, mammy won’t be pleased with it,” Chast cried.
“Don’t worry. No one would want to mess up with that tomboy but I guess... It’s kind of useless since that she’s so awfully weak. Well, let’s search for them first,” Captain Kenny finally give his orders.
“Aye, Aye sir!” Their reply were synchronised in the damp air of the forest.

How I would love to go towards him and punch him straight in the face. Tomboy who’s awfully weak? You’re so dead when I get out of their hold. We were brought towards a cave where there, a man wearing a dark-grey cape was staring towards our statures.

“Ah, that man’s underlings... How delightful to see them. Wait, is that a girl? Humph, I thought he hates women but unfortunately end up having one on deck. What a waste for such beauty to be on aboard with a demon on the ship,” He carved a smile while chanting those filthy words of his.
“Who are you and what do you want from us?” I asked.
“Who am I? Why don’t you ask them?” He said, pointing towards Josh and Artney.
“You supposed to be dead by now, Traitor!” Josh shouted a bit overwhelmed with anger and frustration.
“Are you shocked to know that Captain already knew your plans for the whole time and your plans backfired?” Artney mocked.
“Not quite since that you maggots revealed me out before I could even destroy him,” He gave an evil gape towards both two. “I’d love to see his face to see his crews especially the girl, face the judgement of the Devil of the Sea.”
“So you’re the phony!” I yelled.
“No. He stole the title from me! I suppose to get that title since that our master is my father! I should inherit the title!” He raised his voice.

Now that I finally found the culprit, actually, he brought me, Josh and Artney to see him and there’s no way of turning back. He might plan on dreadful tortures and lure out Captain Kenny to fight him or what’s accurate, destroy him.

Part 3: Land Ahoy!

“Land Ahoy!” The watch-stander shouted.

Finally, after a week been stuck on the pirate ship, we finally made it towards a land which the land was an unknown. Captain Kenny leapt out of the ship, heading up towards the land with a few men behind him, making sure that the land was safe for us to settle down.

“Watch for the cannibals and the other pirate ships. Let’s see, hey Scar, get us some bearing of this area and we need a place where it is very secluded from any attacks,” He ordered.
“Aye, aye Capt’n!” He saluted.

Scar was our boatswain, Fredrick, Roger, Brad, Rio and Sweeney were our gunner, Hardy as our doctor, Henry as our master-at-arms, Ronald, Sylvester, Finn and Draken as our carpenter, me as the cook and the other mates Randolph, Hans, Alfin, Theo, Ronn, Howard, Artney, Josh and the youngest one Chast. There were 23 peoples on board not forgetting the heart-aching captain, Kenneth Rogers.

“You little missy, stay where you are!” He pointed towards me. “I won’t be at all happy if I am to found a dead body of our cook after 3 days of starvation and hardship to find one. Got that?”
“As if I would go out and wander around, breathing the same air as you, my honourable captain,” I mocked as I mimicked my face to provoke him and like always, ended up being ignored.
“Half of our men are to stay while the others will follow me. Thomas, Sweeney, Brad, Scar, Hardy, Randolph, Hans, Alfin, Theo and Chast are to follow me. The rest of you stay and guard the ship. Did I make myself clear?” He gave out orders again.
“Yes, sir!” Everyone’s voice were synchronised through the air in just one breath of words.
“Seems that we are in the same team... As usual, half of the gunner, all the carpenters and half of the mates including the cook must stay on the ship to guard it,” Fredrick went towards me and started a conversation.
“Why is that so?” I asked.
“The boatswain is needed as the navigator to recognise the area, the doctor is for the preparation if any of us who goes with the captain is hurt, a few gunners are to protect the others who are not skilled enough in fighting and the other mates are taken randomly to master any of the skills they learn on decks and as preparation if any of us rankers died during the voyage,” He explained briefly.
“Wow, the people are divided skilfully regarding their jobs!” I retorted in amazement.
“Yep, that’s right. That’s the captain’s ability to organise our specialty for the use of our voyage. He needs to take a few seconds to think of what’s best to do and if anything happens, everything is his fault that his plans have flaws. What’s more, a captain needs to master all knowledge regarding the ship except for cooking and medicals. It’s from his syllabus and I doubt about it. You see, a captain still need to know how to cook and to take care of himself.”
“Agree. So, what are we doing here instead of guarding the ship?” I asked again.
“Well, other than guarding the ship, if we find this settlement is in danger while the captain is away, we need to move away while one of the mates go search for the captain and inform him of our relocation,” He replied.
“What if we were ambushed?” Another question couldn’t seem to stop from getting out of my mouth.
“If we were ambushed, we will do our best to protect the ship while two mates or any other ranks or no ranks will go and search for the captain.”
“Why must two?” I asked again.
“Of course the enemy knows that we will send at least one people to inform the captain. In order to make sure that the information is safe, at least two people from the ship must go out and inform the captain separately and our way in telling that the information has safely been told to the captain is that the bird signal will be released.”
“What bird signal?” I was so curious to know that I didn’t notice that everyone was nowhere to be seen.
“Well, if you hear a bird chirping but the bird is nowhere to be seen and the sound is longer and two times longer than usual, that’s the bird signal,” He answered while whistling the tune of the bird signal.
“I see,” I finally got the picture.
“I think it’s the best for Miss Eleanor to remain inside the ship and stay in her room. Staying outside is quite dangerous you know,” Henry, our Master-At-Arms ordered. He’s much of a discipline caretaker.
“Yes, sir. I’ll be in my room right away,” I replied.

I went to my room and pulled out ‘The Unrequited Love’ and read it to my fullest enjoyment with my body landing on my cosy bed. In this chapter, Lilianna was kidnapped by a thief and was threatened to get married to him. Fredrick went after her and searched for her for the entire city but still couldn’t find any trace of that sneaky thief. When the holy matrimony was almost held, Fredrick finally reached the place and took away his lovely lover away from the danger. Lilianna was so terrified by the incident and cried on his shoulder for comfort as he felt so relieved that he managed to save her before the wedding took place and to know that he would lose his lovely lover forever. How sweet!

Fredrick finally knew the truth after he found Lilianna’s mother’s diary and read it out loud. They rejoiced over the revealed truth and sworn under the God’s name that both of them were to be husband and wife and live happily ever after:

You my love had awaited for me,
Longer than what I had ever thought of,
Me who was fooled by the dark lord,
Who wished for me as the next heir,
Who under the God’s name faking me,
The summer knight as his bloodline son,
Do not be worried my lady,
From now on and so,
We vow to love,
And protect each other.

But that’s not the end of the story! There’re more chapters ahead and before I could manage to read it, a shrill scream was heard from the outside doorway, heading towards my room. I jolted in alert and hide myself under the bed and the figure of an unknown masculine guy entered my room.

“Here kitty, kitty... Nice little kitty... Come out, come out wherever you are,” The stature was searching for something and I could tell that he was looking for me. I was so terrified, shivering from under the bed which I hugged the book tightly to my breasts. I saw Fredrick entered my room and knocked the man’s head until he fainted and called for me. I got out from my hiding and went to him as he swiftly grabbed my right hand and took me away for safety.

“We were ambushed! Someone in the ship associates with them! We have a traitor on board!” He explained.
“You got to be kidding me. Whoever is willing to do such heartless action?” I asked.
“I don’t know but Josh and Artney have made their way to inform the captain. None of us except me, you and both of them know about the information right now since we have a traitor here,” He said it in a single breath.
“What are we going to do now?” I asked.
“I need to get you to somewhere safe and fight back in order to protect the ship.”

Suddenly, 3 swordsmen appeared in front of us in just a blink of an eye. Fredrick took out his guns and shot them straight through the heart and heads. My eyes widened to see the situation and my breath seemed to stop for a second or two. Fredrick grabbed my hand and held it tightly as he led me somewhere safe. On our way, someone deliberately shot his left leg that made him fell on the woody ground.

“Ronnald, Finn... Why are you doing this to us?” Fredrick asked in a painful tone.
“Why? On what reason must every of us share the profit of our last robbery from the Navy when it was us who got it?” Ronnald asked.
“Everyone must share whatever their achievement is! Isn’t that what’s written in the protocol?” He fought their words back.
“Humph, we don’t need this weak crew and what bullshit is that protocol is about? Trash,” Finn provoked. “You lady, be our guest on our new crew ship.”

I frowned in disbelieve. I paced backwards for two steps as they went nearer and nearer towards me. Fredrick stood up, ignoring his wound and shot the bullet almost aiming at them.

“You know how skilled I am in this field,” He gaped at them with a scary look on his face.
“Yep. We know it very well...” Finn mocked. “Oh, be careful with the sword.”
“Whaa...” A sword struck deep inside his chest that made him fell back on the ground.

Another man, probably one of the unexpected guests stabbed him from the back, aiming straight towards his chest that leaved a very deep wound.

“You traitor!” He exclaimed.
“You buffoon. Ha-ha... Come here you lady,” Ronnald was reaching towards my wrist.
“Run Eleanor, RUN!” He shouted.

I sped away with full speed away from those so called traitors and I was running aimlessly for I know must be out from that place. Finn and Ronnald went after me, leaving their mate taking care of Fredrick who was now very weak to fight back due to the loss of blood. I went passed through the kitchen, along the corridors and now towards the hind deck. Somehow, I was kind of trapped in between jumping into the water or just let them take me.

“I bet you don’t know how to swim my lady. Just come here obediently and we’ll give you no harm,” Finn gave out one of his sarcastic smile.
“We know every detail of this ship since we’re the carpenter. So if you’re searching for a way to escape, it’s futile. We would never make an escape route and all carpenter needs to discuss every detail of the ship among them including the captain,” Ronnald let out a smirk of satisfaction.

I heard a whispery sound that told me just to jump off from the hind deck. I obeyed the whisper and jumped quickly without thinking the consequences of what would happen to me. I rather die than being treated as a slave. Finn and Ronnald quickly went towards where I jumped and had a slight peek from above. Captain Kenny rescued me when I was almost drowned falling into the ocean and dragged me inside a safety boat where it was used during hoax. He coated me with his coat and exclaimed, “I had long foreseen your act of betrayal, my honourable traitors. You may now face my judgment.”

“Captain, it’s not what you think it is. The ship over there threatened us to follow their orders,” Ronnald with his twisting exclamation.
“How do you explain this?” He took out a blue-print of the whole ship and on the blue-print were printed some plans to invade the ship. “The others have made their way in attacking those invaders and as for you two now my lovely traitors, any last words before your judgement?”

Both of them jumped out of the ship and were heading towards the unknown ship that was parked nearby. Captain Kenny took out a long sword and was speeding towards them on the water! He looked as if he was skiing on the water with a quick dash towards those two and slashed their heads off from their head. My eyes widened and my voice chocked my throat. I was too terrified to even see what happened and faced away from seeing whatever happened next.

“Don’t play with the Devil of the Sea,” He let out the words with the look of disgust towards the beautiful ruby sea where there, no more bodies were to be found floating instead of the bloody water that’s smearing the ocean.

He swam back towards where I was and entered the boat without a sound. He faced upwards, waiting for someone to peek down and greet him. Not long after that, Chast came and let down a rope.

“Go on,” He ordered, making sure that I went up first before him.

I obeyed his dictions obediently as Chast was holding the rope tightly with a help from Sylvester that was pulling the rope behind him. Chast let out a weak smile for comfort while Sylvester pulled me up inside the ship. Next, Captain Kenny’s turn. A bunch of invaders were tied with a rope and Randolph, Hans, Theo, Ronn, Howard, Artney and Josh were guarding them.

“Who sent you here?” Captain Kenny questioned.
“He... He asked us to come here,” One of them replied.
“Who is he?” He frowned.
“He! It was He!” He shrieked.
“Who is he?!” Captain Kenny’s volume went higher.
“Don’t you recognise him? It’s him! The one who called himself the Devil of the Sea! Kenneth Rogers!” He squeaked.

Captain Kenny was astounded to hear their statement that he finally knew that there’s an impostor that claimed himself as the Devil of the Sea. He let out an evil yet a dreadful laugh and gave them a very horrifying look of disgust.

“Tell me... Who is this idiot and where does he live? I’d like to meet him in person which I’d say the so-called phony,” He smirked.
“He’s no phony! Only the Devil of the Sea who can dance on the water and kill his prey with a perfect score! A quick dash on the water and a few steps of the deathly dance and kill his prey until it leaves no trace of human being except for the lovely ruby ocean,” Another one started to speak.

It was exactly just like what I had observed just now. The judgement he made for both of the traitors that leave nothing except for the bloody ocean. Captain Kenny was still gazing at them with an angry look, “Do you want to see the real judgement of the Devil of the Sea?”

“I’m quite certain that there’s no other than him could be the true Devil of the Sea,” One of them replied with a very serious tone. “He lives at a nearby cannibal Island with his crew and no one had ever seen him except us and his crew.”
“I really doubt that. That’s where I used stay 3 years ago and I found no trace of human beings except for the cannibals themselves,” Captain Kenny stated.
“It’s true! He’s there! He’s there! Not far from this island is where you can find him. There are 7 cannibal islands in this world so you might’ve gone to the wrong one,” He muttered.

Captain Kenny grabbed the man’s collar and exclaimed, “Take me there.”

And so, off we went in searching for the phony. Would we able survive in that so called Cannibal Island? I wasn’t quite sure of our safety but anyhow, since we have this legendary Devil of the Sea, we might not be harmed.
