Time to list creepy, disturbing anime that portrays society as the demon it is.
Kakurenbo Hide and Seek (youngins playin' hide and seek with a monster)
FLCL (damn. And Naota says nothing ever happens in his small town.)
Higurashi (messed up right there.)
Elfen Lied (creepy and messed up to the extreme.)
Death Note (it makes sense when you root for the main character and that's messed up.)
Paranoia Agent (it plays with your emotions.)
Jigoku Shoujo (hell girl delivers torment. nuff said.)
Kuroshitsuji (don't trust humans. Or demons for that matter, unless you swore a Faustian contract with said demon, but still keep your one eye open.)
School Days (WTF MAN THIS ONE SCENE IS MESSED UP FORREAL)
Naruto (hey, they have tons of deaths)
Bleach (a kid with no problems would not see ghosts)
Sailor Moon (Negaverse lives in our world.)
Full Metal Alchemist (There is no equal trade.)
Fruits Basket (Okay, don't hate on me. Almost all of the main characters have been through so much crap in their lives.)
Dragonball Z (fighting baddies errday. Oh, and people die multiple times there like it's a trend.)
Inuyasha (an old era with too many demons. Oh, and I'm biased because I'm a total Kikyo supporter.)
Vampire Knight (so much moping and crying and drama)
Pokemon (FFFFF COMATOSE THEORY, WHY DID I READ YOU.)
yeah that's just what I could conjure up at 4:40 AM. And Nope, I didn't watch all of those LOL.
I'm pretty darn sure I missed other anime.

Full Moon Wo Sagashite (this girl lives out her dream and gets a shinigami dude)
Fruits Basket (you can survive through crap and still emerge happy.)
Spirited Away (it makes you nostalgia-induced-teary-eyed...the good kind. And maybe appreciate your family more.)
Naruto (kids rock.)
Bleach (fight hard and live to see another day.)
Samurai Champloo (I dont think the main character mopes around at all, just kicks ass.)
Cardcaptors (Each capture just makes you so proud of Sakura).
Saint Tail (don't take life seriously).

speaking about my life, I've gained 10 lbs! I hate myself LOL.
