Plot Summary
When Haruhi accidentally stumbles upon her school's host club and knocks over a 80,000 yen vase, in order to pay it back, she gets recruited... as a host!
Story
As this is a very episodic anime, there isn't much plot development, but when they brought it, yes, they brought it.

Characters
I'm not going to lie. OHSHC has some of the best character development I've seen. With interesting backstories that are executed well, you really start to feel them, and see the sadder side of being the child of a rich and famous executive.

Animation
While not being extremely outstanding, the animation did what it needed to do. As a shoujo anime, they did focus on the eyes, roses, and sparkles, and as a comedy, the bring enough of the hilariousness needed to make you laugh just that much harder.

Music
Like the animation, the music did what it wanted to do. I probably wouldn't listen to it much on its own, but it did add to the mood. My only complaint is that at the climax, the music felt like it was overpowering the moment, taking away from it instead of adding.
Both the opening and ending are really good, though not being some of my favorites.

Overall
Ouran High School Host Club is iconic in its genre, and a definite must-watch, while still not being one of my absolute favorites.

I love Kyoya. I really do. At first I thought he'd get no development, but he ended up with the best development. .... *hides from Zoe's glare*
