Hetalia Axis Powers Review

Plot Summary

What happens when you get every country embodied in a single human, and stuff them full of all the stereotypes for that country? Hilarity ensues! Axis Powers focuses more specifically on the countries involved in World War II, i.e. The Allies (England, America, France, Russia, and China) and the Axis Powers (Germany, Japan, and Italy)

Story

Taking real events in history, it's actually surprising how well-done each mini-arc is done. For what it is, there is some good, semi-serious moments, making it more than just a satire.

Not to mention the hilarity! It never fails to make you laugh.

9.1

Characters

Once again, surprising. Through the great plot, they do manage to develop a lot of characters.

9.1

Animation

Nothing amazing spectacular, but it does hold its own.

Also, they do have the uncanny ability to make its chibis unbearably cute. Don't go through it without expecting to say "Awwwwwww" at least once! =w=

7.5

Music

The background is good, and does what it was meant to do, but it's pretty unnoticeable, and I probably won't be listening to any of its background music outside the anime.

There is (understandably) no beginning song (just a tiny sequence thingy)

As for the ending song... catchy as heck. AS HECK. Not to mention the amazing amount of variations of it with each country.

7.2

Overall

While it won't exactly change your life, it is definitely one worth watching, and you'll probably find yourself coming back to rewatch a few episodes every once in a while.

Other

Here's what I got to say in regards to a few characters: *takes a deep breath in* AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW!!! =W= So freakin' adorable.

One day, before class I had started, I actually went up to my history teacher and said "...PAAAASSSSSTTAAAA" His response? "...Go sit down, Kyra."

*sings* Draw a circle, that's the earth, draw a circle, that's the earth, draw a circle, that's the earth, I'm Hetalia =w=
