Caption Battle: See? Food!

"It's that time again..."
"To learn what flan is?"
"To has speech impediment?"
"No... it's time for this week's caption battle!"

But first, last week's winners:

In third place, for making me straight-up laugh: 64oldman!

IT'S A BIRD! IT'S A PLANE! NO!
Once it hits the ground,
IT'S SCREW'D!

In second place, being clever and original as always: KeenHavoc!

See, a real pro knows that ninja-snow-angels don't leave foot prints.

And in the coveted first place, keepin' it both classy and in-universe... akari yasutora!

This is why there is a main branch and a side branch in the Hyuga clan.

I'm glad for the turnout this week. Way to come out, folks!

This week's screencap comes courtesy of ID: Infinite Desbrekos and features the series Shinryaku! Ika Musume (Squid Girl). Girl on the right is Ika Musume (or Squid Girl); girl in the shrimp costume on the left is Sanae. You know the rest:

You know the drill: type up the funniest, wittiest, most original caption you can think of for the screencap above in the comments below. Also, if any of you would like some tips on writing a great caption, you can find those here.

And like always, theOtaku is open to all submissions and suggestions for weekly feature content. You have a screencap you want used, you can PM me and we can do somethin' about it. So good luck, and remember: hot tea cascading onto your lap is unsurprisingly painful.

theOtaku.com Anime Podcast IX - Ep. 8 (Kinda)

Ichigo's still honeymooning. Thus, this week is a little bit hilarious. It's not Katana-TimeChaser hilarious (though they are), but it's quite hilarious in and of itself. Actually, it really comes down to how funny you thought 2006 was...

Caption Battle: I've Got Not Strings To Hold Me Down...

"It's that time again..."
"To stop pissing off your neighbours?"
"To clean up the kitchen?"
"No... it's time for this week's caption battle!"

But first, last week's winners:

In third place because it's just kinda cute: TimeChaser!

You're in good hands with Yu-Gi-Allstate.

In second place, because lots of us thought of this: CelestialSushi!

Yusei: THIS THING'S A GUY????

And in the coveted first place, with the smoothest of this style of joke... schultzie!

This is the face of a kid who was just told that there was candy in a van.

Not a bad week at all, folks. Job well done!

This week's screencap comes courtesy of PheonixFox and features the series Naruto. Guy in the air is Steve Staley. You know the rest:

theOtaku.com Anime Podcast IX - Ep. 7 (Also, Anime Pulse Episode 262)

Y'know, this episode was recorded a week ago, and I only downloaded it just recently so I could upload it. And I was crazy confused as to why it was taking so long compared to the usual less-than-a-minute most shows took. Chalked it up to a slow internet day... then I started listening and the podcast started off with "Anime Pulse, episode 262, and theOtaku.com Podcast..." And then it all made sense.

So extra super long podcast this week. Also, Katana and TimeChaser talk in it so you have extra incentive to take a listen. Anyway, Ichigo's having fun on his honeymoon, and we're stuck with these two. You are thus obligated to enjoy it, savvy?

Caption Battle: Take My Hand, We'll Make It, I Swear...

"It's that time again..."
"To start training for writing '11 after dates?"
"To buy a new ski jacket?"
"No... it's time for this week's caption battle!"

But first, last time's winners:

In third place, because it is inspired by true life: wingedshadowwolf!

Mirai: Shut up you turd!
Yuuki: Ha ha you step on turds!
(Mirai starts to stomp harder)

In second place, also because it is inspired by true life: schultzie!

She wanted YuGiOh stuff, so he gave her a box set of YuGiOh 5Ds.
The bruising will clear up, but the memory will last forever.
Gotta love sibling rivalry.

And in the coveted first place for its all-encompassing nature... Kitty K.O.!

The greatest gift any child could ask for this Christmas... A Sado-Maso relationship.

Ahhh, lookit the little boy and how he loves it... glorious...

Alright, so this week's screencap comes courtesy of MaraNekoyasha and features the series (fittingly enough) Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's. The boy is Rally; the hand is Yusei. You know the rest:
