The winner for the NYAF mascot contest will be announced soon. On the heels of that proclamation, I'd like to announce an eccentric contest of my own.
As some of you know I've been personally obsessing over Flash game development. For this pursuit though I really want to have a great mascot "represent" my games. And what better mascot than the legendary Bossman Cupcake?
The contest is simple. Here's a pixelated version of the Bossman Cupcake. The person who creates the best fan art of him that I can use as my games label's mascot will win a theOtaku.com premium account for life.
Here's some information about him to help you in the contest:
- The Bossman Cupcake is a warrior
- The Bossman Cupcake is wise and battle-hardened
- The Bossman Cupcake is NOT silly in any way. Despite being a giant cupcake, he's a serious, world-weary, maybe even somewhat tragic figure
- The inspiration for the Bossman Cupcake's dual colors is from the movie Braveheart
The contest ends on July 31st and judging will be 100% by my own eyes. I give weight to entries that will generate an emotional reaction when you look at it. No backgrounds, just the character. You can interpret the character though however you like, in terms of if the character has any accessories/clothes/expressions/etc. or you can leave it as it is.
