There's a new rank in town, available only to Senior Otaku and above, the rank of an Otaku Angel. An Otaku Angel is a long-time member whose purpose is to give back to the community in terms of answering questions for new members, being a positive role model, encouraging new members and submitters, and representing us on other sites positively.
Attaining the rank of Otaku Angel is not easy. Unlike the other ranks, you have to either volunteer for it or be nominated for it. Here are the requirements just to be considered:
- Senior Otaku or above
- You have a flawless permanent record on theO, meaning you've never been in any sort of trouble at all here
- You've never left an inappropriate comment anywhere (we will look through every comment you've ever posted) and your comments are friendly and helpful
- You have absolute integrity
All Otaku Angels start out as Otaku Angelites and work their way to Otaku Angels, and then finally to Otaku Archangel.
Unlike the other titles, the rank of Otaku Angel requires an ongoing commitment and the title can be lost for inactivity. You'll have to keep a diary of what you're doing and report in at least once a month.

Additionally, if you know someone who would make a great Otaku Angel, please encourage them to apply or nominate them here (we'll contact them and see if they're interested if you just nominate).
Every month we will choose either one or two people to become new Angels. This is a very tough process so you shouldn't be discouraged if you don't make it. Enjoy and good luck!
