AISLING

Aisling and Emiko were suppose to rotate soon to help out Ryuu. They were waiting at their home base. Aisling was sitting on a chair, resting her chin on her elbow. She stared ahead of her with a fixed expression. There were a lot of spirits in the school and it was almost overwhelming her. Aisling only was to cope with it was to let her mind wonder to the Emerald Isles and unintentionally took her the Mounds.

"Aisling!"

The said girl was pulled away sharply from her daydream. "Huh?"

Emiko frowned at her, "I know you have this bad habit of daydreaming at times but we have a job to do."

"Sorry," Aisling mumbled looking at her feet.

"Come on let's go see how Ryuu is doing."

Aisling stood up but stopped when she felt something in her pocket moving. At first she thought it was her cell phone vibrating but it was in her other pocket. What was in her other pocket were here tarot cards. She pulled the card case out and opened it.

Three cards shot out from the card case scaring both Aisling and Emiko. The cards landed on the table face down. Aisling and Emiko stared at the cards and then exchanged uneasy and curious glances. Aisling reached out her hand and flipped over the first card.

The pictured showed a black cloaked figure the hood pulled back to show a skeleton face and it have black wings on his backs and it wielded an ornate scythe. The card of Death.

Emiko made a shocked nose and Aisling said reassuringly, "It's alright the Death card doesn't literally signified death itself."

"Okay," Emiko said slowly.

Aisling turned the next card. The next card was an old man with a hunched back carrying a wooden cane. The Hermit.

She turned the last card. It was in reversed but it was an ancient Greek style chariot being driven be a eerie looking masked warrior holing a deadly whip in his hand. The Chariot.

"What does this mean?" Emiko asked.

Aisling pointed at the first card, Death. "This means bad luck."

"Great," mutter Emiko wryly.

"The Hermit card means caution."

Emiko made no commit so Aisling continued, "And the last card the reversed Chariot means defeat, last minute loss, or vanquishment."

"And add all three of them up what does that mean?"

Aisling said nothing as her hand hovered over the cards. "Someone will experience bad luck tonight that will involve in the case, we must all be cautious or we will face defeat or loss or vanquishment."

"Who is this warning suppose to be for?" Emiko demanded.

Aisling gathered the cards and put it back in the deck. "I don't know. These cards have a mind of their own. I only got from them was that involves the case." She looks at Emiko. "I think we should warn the other investigators about this."

Emiko said nothing at first then nodded. "Alright, let's go check on Ryuu."

The woman left to the room. Aisling pocketed the cards and followed after Emiko.

Okay that's it. I hope it's good enough.
