When the party finally got started we played twister and a whole bunch of random games. Then we had my sisters’ dumpling and potato soup. Actually she learned how to make the potato soup from our mom. She was a baker and new all kinds of neat tricks around a kitchen. A little while after that we had funfety cake. I was really surprised when Kara and Taiki handed me presents and a card. I opened the card and looked at it I figured I would completely read it later.
“You guys didn’t have to get me anything.” I told them.
“You know we would have anyways.” Nyoko stated.
“You’re like my little brother so why wouldn’t I get you something.” Taiki mentioned.
There was no arguing with them so I opened Taiki’s gift first and it was a bracelet and had a whole bunch of charms on it. Nyoko reached over and put it on my wrist. I looked kind of cool it had a whole bunch of different charms on it and the chain was jet black.
“Thanks” I smiled.
“I’m glad you like it.” He said.
“Come on open mine.” Kara said eagerly pushing her present towards me.
“Alright.” I sighed taking the gift and opening it.
It had a dragon charm on it. The chain matched the chain on my bracelet that Taiki got for me. It looked like it was silver by the shine it gave off. The chain was big enough so I could just slip it over my head without any trouble.
“You guys didn’t have to get me this.” I told them.
“The charms on both of them a pure silver.” Nyoko chirped.
“Now you’re making me feel bad.” I muttered.
“Come on my family is part Italian you know that, and they’ll do anything for you guys.” Taiki stated.
Taiki is part Italian on his fathers’ side and they’re always doing stuff for us. They offered to take us in when our parents died. And I’m sure that that’s what Taiki is trying to convince Kara for us to come and live with them. Their mansion is pretty close to Aisling’s parents’ house…castle whatever you want to call it.
After everyone went home I went up to my room and plopped down on my bed. I lifted my left arm with the bracelet on it now I could actually look at it without being disturbed. It had a whole bunch of element charms on it. The normal water, fire, earth, and air. It also had little light and darkness symbols on opposite sides of each other. Even thought I might not wear it very often the charms were really cool on it. Each of the charms had its own light tint of unique color to it. My arm fell onto my stomach and I looked at the gift my sister gave me. I don’t know what it was with her and Taiki giving me jewelry for my birthday this year, maybe it’s some kind of joke. But they were well crafted. The necklace was a silver dragon that when you moved it around in the light it gave off a light blue kind of shin to it. I must have been tired because I fell asleep at least 10 minutes later.

Ryuu’s room materialized around me. I was surprised how clean he had it. Of course he’s barely even home so then again it’s not very surprising. I glanced over at Ryuu and he shifted his position in his bed. I walked over to him. His sister got him the necklace obviously she’s always liked that his name meant dragon. I was about to take his necklace off so I could get a better look at it when I heard the door click open.
“Kara what if he’s still awake?” She must have brought her boyfriend with her.
“No he’s been tired all day I’m positive he’s sleeping.” She answered opening the door all the way.
I moved out of the way so no one would run into me.
“See what did I tell you?” She whispered walking over to Ryuu’s sleeping body. “He forgot to take everything off, of course.” She laughed quietly.
I looked at Taiki and it seemed like he was looked right at me. He shook his head and went back to Takara. ‘That was close. I could have sworn he saw me.’ I looked around to see if I bumped into something and everything was where it was when I came in.
Takara placed his charms and necklace on his dresser. Taiki walked over to her and slipped his hand into hers and kissed her. He’s lucky that I’m in a relatively good mood today. They walked out of the room and quietly shut the door behind them. I made my way over to his dresser and picked up the necklace now I could actually get a good look at it. My eyes shifted over to the card that he got. I picked up the card and read it.
My your dragon protect you in times of trouble.
Happy birthday Ryuu.
I looked at the card and back at the necklace. That actually gave me an idea. I set the card down and brought my thumb up to my mouth then bit down on the tip of it. My blood started to form a little bubble of blood on the little cut. I held my hand an inch over the dragon charm and the bubble dripped off my finger and onto the dragon. It absorbed into the charm. ‘Darkness to light and light to darkness may twilight guard what it holds most dear.’ The charm glowed and then went back to what it was. I set it back down on the dresser and then walked back over to Ryuu. I ran my fingers threw his hair “Happy birthday son.” I whispered.
I was about to leave when his hand grabbed mine.
“Dad don’t go.” He was still sound asleep, it must have been in his dream.
“I have to go son.” I whispered.
“You can’t go don’t leave me all alone again.” He looked like he was about to cry.
I placed my other hand on his head. “Don’t worry I’ll always be with you I promise.” I whispered in his ear.
His gripped loosened on my arm and fell back onto the bed. I disappeared back into the darkness.

I woke up and looked at my alarm clock it was 8 in the morning apparently I wasn’t allowed to sleep in. I sighed and slid out of bed. I still had a few hours before I had to go to Nino’s and Matsu’s apartment and listen to a lecture. Which made no since I’ve never been over there before and he doesn’t know my phone number so why was I going over there? I made my way down stairs and into the kitchen. Taiki had his head resting on the table and his coffee next to his head. My guess is that Kara woke him up after she did.
“Good morning!” Kara chirped.
“Kara you’re never happy in the morning.” I groaned.
“Of course I am.” She smiled at me.
“No both of you are not morning people.” I said.
Then I felt something go threw me. I looked down and saw a knife. I looked back and Nyoko was smiling.
“You must die Ryuu. You don’t not belong.” She laughed.I fell off my bed with a loud thud and was breathing heavily. I looked down at my chest and there was nothing wrong no blood or anything.
“A dream it was only a dream.” I told myself getting up off the floor. I looked at the alarm clock that rested on my dresser. It was 9:30 in the morning. I got up and got dressed. I stopped before I walked out of my room and went back to my dresser. I figured that I should put the bracelet and necklace on just to make Kara happy. Instead of putting the bracelet on my wrist I stuck it on my belt loop of my jeans. Then I put the necklace on and tucked it in under my shirt. Then I headed down stairs. The water was running in the bathroom when I walked past one of them was talking a shower. I turned into the kitchen and no one was in there. I looked in the living room where Taiki usually slept when he was here and there was no one in the messed up blankets. He was probably the one taking a shower. I grabbed a water bottle out of the fridge and then laid my head on the tabletop.
“Someone else is up.” I heard Taiki say walking into the kitchen and sat down at the opposite end of the table.
“Where’s Kara and Nyoko?” I asked into the table still feeling half dead.
“Still sleeping. Why what’s up?” He asked me.
“I was thinking about going over to a friends’ house today.” I sighed. I don’t think I could really call Nino my friend could I? But I did want to know more about what’s I am and how the heck they got tangled into all of this.
“I can tell them if you want to head over there.” He offered.
“No they won’t be up for a while.” I lied actually I had no clue if they were up or not.
“You guys should move in at my house.” He stated.
“I knew this was coming.” I sighed.
“And why’s that?” He asked.
I picked my head up and stared at him. “I know that’s what you’ve been talking about with Kara, I might be half blind but you know I’m not an idiot.” I was starting to wonder why he’s been acting so weird around me lately.
“I know but we have plenty of room and no offence but this place just gives me the feeling that it’s haunted.” He stated looking around.
“Is that so…” I never did tell him that I could see ghosts so I know that this place isn’t haunted. Maybe the occasional ghost would pop in and ask how they can pass on but that’s it. “I can promise you this place…”
“Don’t tell Kara this but I thought I saw your fathers’ ghost last night.” He stated shutting me right up.
I remained calm there’s no way he could have seen our father. Our father is a demon lord and regular humans can’t see or hear ghosts and demons. Unless dad let his guard down. I leaned back in my chair, there was always a time for firsts. “Taiki I can see ghosts and I’m pretty sure I would have noticed if he was here.” I sighed.
“Are you saying that I’m lying? Last night you were out like a light. There was no way that anyone could have woken you up; not unless they got a boat horn and stuck it right next to your ear.” He said abruptly.
“Alright calm down I’m not calling you a liar.” I stated could someone powers rub off of them and onto someone else? I would have to ask Nino and Matsu about that. “And I believe you that I was sleeping like a rock last night. I hadn’t gotten really any sleep in the past few days. And I’m not lying about the part where I can see ghosts either.”
“I know Kara told me that you could see ghosts; said that you got it from your father. But come on we have a lot of room at my parents house. Help me try to convince your sister that you guys should come and live with my family.” He asked.
I stood up from the table and started towards the door.
“Oh and Kara wanted me to ask you if you’re going to your grandmother’s funeral.” He mentioned following me to the door.
“She knows that I don’t like funerals.” I answered putting on my shoes and shutting the door. I really didn’t want to deal with him right now. I shouldn’t have waited to leave the house that long. I had my cell phone Kara can call it if she wants to know where I am. I pulled the small piece of paper out of my pocket and unfolded it. Their apartment number was on it. It was strange why were there only a few people on the street. Which was odd considering it was a Sunday morning. Then everything started moving slower. I could have sworn that I wasn’t tired and I didn’t feel sick at all. A loud ringing sound started in my ear. And I looked down at my bracelet that the loud ring was coming from. Two of the charms were glowing; fire and air. The air picked up as I started running. I heard a little girls laugh echo past my ears as I ran.
“Let’s play Ryuu.” Aeirin’s voice echoed around me. “You can’t hide from me.” She chirped.
I turned a corner. The apartment building that Nino and Matsu were staying at was just a block away. “Leave me alone.” I shouted running faster.
“Now that’s no fun.” Aeirin appeared in front of me and just barely avoided her. Then I ran into someone. I backed away.
“Yea Ryoen came to play too.” Aeirin chirped behind me.
“You’re coming with us.” I kept backing up. “You have two options either come quietly and you won’t get hurt or we use force.” Ryoen said.
“You can’t make me go anywhere.” I told him.
“Look kid usually I’m lenient about stuff but when I’m told to do something I make sure I get the job done. Now come on I really don’t feel like fighting today.” He sighed holding his hand out towards me.
“No; I’m not going anywhere with you or that little twerp.” I shouted.
“Who are you calling a twerp?” Aeirin got a hint of evil in her voice and the air start to swirl around me.
I fell to my knees I couldn’t breathe; she was creating a vacuum around me. Everything went all fuzzy and I felt my body was lifted up off the ground before everything went black I saw someone running towards us but I couldn’t tell who it was.

What did they call this thing again?” A demon asked.
“He’s a moratorium dummy.” The other one replied back.
“Oh…so what is he?”
“He’s half human, and half demon. Do I have to explain everything to you?”
“Oh look the thing is coming to.”
The two demons came into focus. Both of them looked like those orcs that you see off the lord of the rings.
“He doesn’t look like a mora…what’s it.” The one on my left stated.
“That’s because he’s part human you dummy. I told you this already.” The other demon answered.
“Who the hell are you? What’s going on here?” I shouted trying to get my hands free form the chains. “Why am I in a cage? I’m not an animal!” Both my hands and feet were chained and I was hanging in the middle of a cell. The chains on my hands were attached to the ceiling and the chains on my feet were chained to the floor so I was pretty much hanging by my arms in mid air.
“Quiet; or we’ll make you be quiet.” The on one the right demanded.
“And you were going to what to him may I ask?” My father appeared out of nowhere behind the two demons.
“N-nothing lord Asa.” They said in unison with a deep bow.
I kept my emotions at bay. I was actually really glad to see him. Maybe he could give me some answers on what the hell is going on.
“Well then I would like to talk to the prisoner alone.” He smiled.
“But lord Asa we can’t do that.” The one on the left said.
“And why is that it’s not like he’s going to run I think you have him tied up pretty well.” I knew he was holding down a laugh.
“Lord Norien told us no one is allowed to go in there.” They answered.
“Who did?” My father asked.
“Lord… Norien…” He was getting them to question themselves.
“I’m sorry can you tell me who gave you those orders again I wasn’t listening.”
“…” They looked at each other and shrugged. “We don’t know sir.”
“Ah I see why don’t you two run along now I’ll look after him until you get back.” He’s good.
“Yes M’Lord.” They bowed and hobbled away.
My dad watched them walk down the hall and I guess the turned a corner because he opened the door and walked in.
“Da…” I started then he placed a hand over my mouth.
“Shh. I don’t have much time. I’m sorry but I’m going to make you go old school on picking these locks.” He pulled out a bobby pin from hid pocket. I can’t believe he had one of those. He placed it in my hand. “Whatever you do when someone else come in here don’t say a word. All of us have our full strength here. As us I mean the demon lords. Oh and don’t piss any of them off.” He started towards the door of my cell again then he stopped. “I’m sorry son.” Then he shut the cells door and walked away. His footsteps vanished after he left my line of sight.

I materialized in the human world and unfolded the paper that I took from Ryuu’s pocket.
“I guess it’s time for me to pay Matsu and Nino a little visit.” I smirked and walked down the street towards the apartment building.

Yea so this is probably the longest post I’ve ever done so far. I figured that I would leave people out of it and just mostly go with the characters that really don’t come in that often. If anyone wants to add their side to it they can. And hopefully this helps anyone if they have writers block. My dad’s telling me to get off so I’m going to say night.
