Lick. Lick. Drool. Drool. Wet. Wet. Slobber! Slobber!
“AHHHHH GET OFF OF ME!!!!!” I panicked flinging some of the Houndours off of me. Their mother looked confused and a entire crowd was laughing at my new look. I felt disgusting. I marched out of the dog pit of doom I was in and noticed that everyone had abandoned me.
Holy crap! Some friends they are! I didn’t see Hoom, Hon, Arc, or Shupple for that matter. Well no point in looking with all this drool over your face.
After cleaning up in the men’s bathroom nearby I saw Shupple and Arc walk off in a different direction. That’s fine, those two needed sometime alone anyway. I trusted muttly crew and I had no fear that Shupple wouldn’t slap him if he did anything to her, though he is way to timid. Whatever! He’s cool in my book.
As I searched for my beloved Hoomy a flash of light caught my attention, when I turned in that direction who do I find? Oh just the little rug rat Nyarth evolving….EVOLING!?!?! Suddenly, Hoom came out of nowhere and grabbed him with Raine following. I trailed them into some sort of building and waited. I entered and Hoom only nodded to acknowledge my presence. As I watched, it was strange, Nyarth looked like he could evolve but something told me there was more too it. He stopped his own evolution. After that, Raine and Hoom went to hang out for a bit at the festival as Nyarth and I were left alone together.
I stood there with my arms crossed as he turned to smile at me. “How’s it goin’, sport? Having fun at the festival?”
He shoved his pink bunny in my face, laughing. “Look at what she won me-nya!!! Isn’t it great??”
Did his eyes really just sparkle? I gently grabbed the plushy out of my face and held it under my arm. I was suspicious of him. “Yeah yeah it’s great, kid. Hey…. What happened back there? I saw you glowing.”
“Yup, I was-nya,” He was avoiding the question. Sly cat.
“You were evolving… why did you stop it?” I asked raising an eyebrow.
He merely chuckled as he quickly snatched the bunny back. “I chose to stop it-nya. If I had evolved into a Persian, I wouldn’t have been able to act cute and get all the cake and candy I wanted-nya!”
Was this a joke or something? He was giggling and giving me those huge kitty eyes. Has he forgot that we are part of the same species or something? Those eyes won’t work on me.
I only retorted with a smirk, “You can drop the act, I’m not buying you any sweets, kid.”
Suddenly he grabbed my hand and dashed off pulling me to a stand outside as he in a way dragged me across the many people. “But I still want some dango-nya!! Those things were soooo yummy!” He acted all grown up and purchased two of them and came back extending one to me. “Want one-nya?”
It looked so delicious and by all means, free food was not something I was gonna pass up. Though it did feel like I was stealing candy from a baby. Well no matter, I popped one in my mouth and swallowed. Damn this was good.
“I know there’s another reason you stopped your evolution. Spit it out.” I mumbled still trying finish the one I ate.
He sweatdropped. “Well-nya… I mean it was so sudden and I wasn’t sure I wanted to be any different than I am now. I’ve been a Meowth my whole life and… I’m scared to change-nya. I’m afraid I’ll be less liked if I evolve-nya.” He chewed on his dango thoughtfully, looking at the ground. “And I’m pretty sure I’m just fine with being a Meowth right now. I don’t feel like evolving yet.”
“Nya!” I chuckled at him.
His face turned beat red, “Y-y-you’re mocking me now aren’t you-nya?!?”
I took another bite and shrugged, “Maybe-nya?”
“That’s not nice-nya!” He pouted and I only patted his face. He quickly turned to me a bit surprised.
“If you aren’t ready to evolve then don’t rush yourself. You are only young once so keep enjoying your time as a kid until you are ready. There is no rush.”
Oddly enough he fell over into my lap and continued to purr in his kimono as I continued petting him, so I scratched behind his ear and made funny noises. Kinda cute too. “Nya nya nya!!!”
“Besides, you still need to pick up chicks though I am wondering if Raine is really the cougar type.” I thought about it and he quickly sat up.
“Cougar type? What’s that?” He question as he ate another part of his dango.
I forgot for a moment that comment came out of my mouth and he was still to young to understand. My eyes were huge and nervous as I was pink in the face. I waved my hands in a panic, “Oh no don’t worry about it, just forget that I mentioned it ha ha ha!” I rubbed the back of my head.
“Hmmm okay, but cougars are powerful creatures like us right Lux?” He asked finishing up his dango.
“Ah sure.” I smiled and took another bite out of my food.
“Then you are saying that Raine is powerful like a cat! I am gonna tell her that she is a cougar-nya!!!” He beamed smiling from cheek to cheek.
“AGH!” I began to choke on my food for a second and began to hit my chest. That by no means should ever be repeated. Damn it, way to go Lux. After finally breathing in after choking I responded. “No that isn’t a compliment and don’t EVER tell Raine EVER!!!! Or anyone else for that matter! I mean let’s keep it a secret among us cats okay-nya?”
Crap the kid has me saying it too….nya…..
“Nya! Okay!! Our secret!”
“Sigh! Good to hear!” I grabbed our garbage and threw it away. “So where do you want to go from here?”
“RIDES!!! I wanna go on some rides!!!” He jumped up and down and shortly I found him on my back trying to hold onto my jacket, “Ahh Lux your jacket is slippery.”
With a push of my tail I helped him up on my shoulders and carried him around.
“Lux nya, when did you evolve?” Nyarth asked as he sat on my shoulders.
“Hmm well I evolved into a Luxio around 8 years old. So I admit I was kind of young.” I told him as we walked through the midway of the festival. So many vendors and so many people.
“Nya I can see so much from up here!” Nyarth cheered as he pointed at some of the fancy flags on top of building. “But why did you evolve so young? Didn’t you want to stay young too and pick up chicks?”
I grinned and let out a small laugh, “I still pick up chicks Nyarth but I am with Hoomy so I have no need too. As far as why I did, well it was a matter of life and death I guess you can say.”
“Really? Wow my sister evolved because of that same reason too.” He stated as he swung his tail side to side.
“Your sister?” That was news to me. I didn’t even know he had any siblings.
“Yeah-nya! I have an older sister, you know Estelle!”
I nearly fell over and Nyarth fell off of me but I quickly caught him. I never knew that they were siblings? But they didn’t even look alike, but that kind of had the same methodical way of talking and they both had the same eyes. Maybe they shared one parent because I find it hard to believe they would have the same mother and father. That’s a shocker.
“You didn’t know nya?” He asked looking up at me with those big kitty eyes.
“I guess not,” Gotta change the subject. “We’re here. What do you want to go on first?”
He pointed at the rollercoaster and we were off. So Nyarth and I went on it, the little cat loved throwing his arms in the air and screaming as we went up and down violently on it. One time he actually flew out of his seat, lucky for him I grabbed his tail and pull him back in. The kid should gain a few more pounds or something. Then we headed to the tilt-ta-whirl and spun it so face that both of us were dizzy when we exited and fell over. If that wasn’t enough Nyarth wanted to go on the Zipper and we did being flipped upside down and so forth. My favorite was the flume, as we rocked the log we were in Nyarth panicked from the water that splashed him. I teased him and got him wet and he began crying but one we got to the top we both made silly faces. Of course we got wet but it was worth it.
Nyarth and I went to look at the photos take from the Flume and since it was so great I purchased one for both of us.
“Thanks Onii-san!” He giggled as I handed him the photo. “Look at our faces hehehe but I never knew you could pull your eyelids so far down-nya. Hehe!”
“Haha yeah! But who knew you could open your mouth so wide, you look like an entire car could in there!” I messed up his hair and he swatted me away with his stuffed bunny. “At least you have something now that we both can cherish sport!”
“Nya!! That’s right!”
“Yo!!!” I heard someone yell waving his hands, it appeared to be Chii.
“Chii what’s up?” I asked as he approached.
“LUX!” There was the glomp and I fell over. Nyarth just frowned. “MAN I MISSED YOU!!”
“THE HELL GET OFF ME DUDE!!!” He was hugging me way to tight and breaking my spleen. “GET OFF!”
“Ok ok but I need a favor Lux! You see I kinda lost Lupe and I can’t find her and I have no idea where she is.”
Nyarth and I looked at each other and then back at him. “Isn’t that her over there at the baseball station?” We pointed at the tomboy rabbit making a fuss.
He turned fast to see. “WHOA LUPE!!!! Man that was fast! Hehe you know its hard to find someone who can’t talk.”
“Can’t talk-nya?” Nyarth asked.
“Yes she can’t talk right now because her voice is missing right now. I am not sure why she can’t really.” Chii rubbed his chin as he thought about it.
“Consider that a blessing.” I rolled my eyes.
“Don’t say that I love her voice and luscious figure and-“
“GAH, stop it Chii! Nyarth and I were on rides and I am getting more sick about you describing her.” I stuck out my tongue at him.
“AHH Lupe isn’t like that!!!” Chii insisted and we began to fight. While this was happening as he was pulling my cheek I pulled his hair and jumping on top of the other as we fought each other. Nyarth found it amusing.
After about 10 minutes, which was actually about 1 minute, we stood up and bumped fists. “Oh hey Lux one more thing.”
“Sure?”
“Hehe could you recharge me with some electricity since I haven’t been around enough water?” Was he embarrassed of this? Most likely from the color of his cheeks.
I grabbed his hand and gave him a volt of a lighting bolt. “That should suffice for now and get something to eat so I don’t have to give you all my power.”
He nodded, “Yeah we need to go do that. Hey Lupe and I were planning on having a party later before the fireworks with everyone. You should meet up with Hoom and your date Nyarth!”
“Sounds like fun-nya! Free food?” Nyarth asked while Chii nodded, which sold Nyarth.
“Alright I will see you all there! Later!” And Chii was off again.
Nyarth and I went to a few stands and checked out some games. I paid for the dart game and popped a few balloons, which was enough to win a prize. Since I was a Luxray it was easy for me but I still struggled with my eyesight. I won Nyarth a medium size Meowth plushie and he squeeled once I handed it to him.
“Onii-san onii-san!!!” He cheered. “Thank you!!!”
I only laughed because it was nice receiving some praise from him. I really enjoyed it.
Suddenly I heard screams and people running away. Was it a fight? Not a great place to have a fight. Wait? No could it be Shupple? Oh no this wasn’t good; I needed to make sure that I would be there for her. I promised I would protect her.
Adjusting my jacket, I turned to Nyarth who was holding Uso-chan and his new stuffed Meowth. “Nyarth go find Raine okay? Don’t follow me because I don’t want you to get involved.”
“But-but what about you-nya? Will you be okay?”
I got down on one knee and petted his head with a smile. “You forget that I am a Luxray, Nyarth. Of course I will be fine, I can handle myself. It would kill me if something happen to you, understand?”
Quickly he embraced me with a big hug, and I returned the favor. “Okay onii-san!”
“Hey don’t be scared, I know you are strong and will use those cat like reflexes to find Raine quickly!” I smiled at him and stood back up, “When I am done I will come find you okay?”
He nodded and I bolted off in the direction of the fight. I ran as fast as I could and quickly made my way through the crowds but the strange thing I didn’t sense Shift anywhere near, however, once I arrived on the scene I saw the flower plant, umm, what was his name again? Oh Tanner fighting two gijinkas in Team Rocket uniforms. As I approached I didn’t pay much attention as I was reflected off of one of Tanner’s protects.
“Shit, walked into that one.” I flew in the air and landed on all fours as my glasses hit the ground. The battle was between Tanner and it appeared he had it under control. As I picked up my glasses and placed them on my face instead of keeping them in my pocket, I turned my head to see who was with him, totally forgetting that Estelle was his date. And ironically enough, there she was looking at me.
I had no business here so I went off back to where Nyarth was. Damn it all, this was the worse luck I had. First I found out they are siblings now I actually bump into her.
“No, please wait!” I heard her yell to me.
NOPE!! Not gonna happen Estelle!!! Keep running man keep on trucking!!!
"LUX PLEASE STOP! PLEASE!"
Geez, fine whatever. I slowly came to a halt. Back turned against her, I stood there in silence. Why did my body do this? I have no idea.
She was a few feet behind me trying to catch her breath as I glared into the distance in front of me."L-Lux.. *pant*" She huffed. "Lux...." She took a step closer but I did not wish to reply as I stood there. "Lux, please say something to me-"
"What is there to say to YOU?!" I interrupted her. She jumped at the anger in my voice. This was the first time I spoke to her since the incident in my bedroom. Note, the day she erased her memories so to all those pervs out there. Yeah nothing else happened.
"Please tell me.. Why are you so angry with me? ...." She whimpered with that sad tone in her voice. "What took place at the mansion.. That day? Don't you remember?"
Of course I recall what happened but it won’t change anything Estelle. Why am I still here anyway?
"Why ... WHY DO YOU HATE ME SO MUCH?!" She shouted to me I could hear the tears were about to flow from here eyes by the sound of her voice. It was possible that she could feel how much hatred I had right now.
I sighed and turned a bit so she could only see part of my face from the shadows. "I have nothing to explain nor say to you" I told her dryly, filled with dullness. I had no other reasons to stay so I began to walk off.
"Lux don't you DARE walk away from me!" She demanded but she wasn’t my mother and I loathed her so I continued on my way. Who cares about your feelings when you hurt me so much with that stupid trick of yours. "LUUUUUUUX! PLEASE TELL MEEE!!"
Then flash took place behind me, I was shocked and quickly turned to see what it was. Strange a small Espeon appeared in front of her. Odd this looked familiar, like I had seen this before…Wait this couldn’t be?
I looked up at the moon, it was a full moon to be exact. Shit, it was happening all over again. This happened to Estelle once before at the Valentines Day Ball. That incident would be repeated again and I knew exactly what had to be done. However, did she? I blinked and looked stunned as she conversed with the cat but nearly fell over. Lucky for her, Tanner quickly appeared holding her in his arms.
"Tanner-san? .. I thought you we're wounded... Urrgh... What just happened?" She asked him. His face expression seemed something like completely shocked.
"Estelle.. Your.. Your.." Tanner shivered as he held her in his arms.
"My head is pounding so hard.. Where's Lu-" Then horror hit Estelle’s face. She began to feel herself as she finally noticed she wasn’t an Espeon anymore, everything, her ears down to her tail were all gone. "I'm !!! I'm!!!!!"
"Your human... again." I sighed looking away.
“Wait you have seen this before Lux?” Tanner asked as he helped Estelle to her feet.
I scratched my head and sat on a bench nearby. “Yeah you could say that…”
“No No No!!! My feline features are gone!!!” Estelle twisted herself around still looking at herself.
Tanner looked blankly at her and turned his head back to me, “Well?”
“On the night of a fullmoon, Estelle reverts back into a human for some odd reason.” I adjusted my glasses and placed my hands together on my lap. “The thing about this because Estelle posses a moonstone she always turns into a human on a night like this. Now it can be temporary or permanent depending on the time. Nevertheless, to reverese this, one needs to only kiss her. A man has relationship with Estelle is all that is needed.” I pointed at Tanner. “You will need to fulfill this with a kiss.”
To be blunt, it actually took someone very close to revert her, possibly someone she has known for years but I didn’t see the reason behind me telling them that. I mean, it surely should work if he kisses her, they are an item I suppose.
Tanner look dumbfounded from my explanation, “I…I have to kiss her??” He grabbed his face and shivered a bit. It was like he was having an inner battle or something.
“Umm how do you know this Lux?” Estelle asked walking up to Tanner.
“Someone told me once about this way back when. Nothing more.” I shrugged leaning back and looking up at the moon. Actually the one that told me this was Cresselia when Estelle transformed back at the Valentines day ball. “Just a kiss from Tanner you should be fine. It would be like it never happened.”
“Hmm I don’t know, something….” She was interrupted.
“For Estelle I will do it! No questions about it. Will it make you happy?” Tanner interrupted her. He gently grabbed her hand and she looked up.
“I see well…” I got up and walked up to Tanner and kneed him in the family jewels, “You aren’t mentally prepared…”
“Wahh…ahhh…” He moaned as he fell to his knees.
I grabbed his shirt and dragged him behind a building, “Excuse us for a moment okay Estelle? Hehehehe!!!”
A few moments later I tossed him against the wall and leaned against the one in front of him.
“What’s your problem Lux? I agreed to do it.” Tanner said as he brushed the hair from his face.
“Oh please, you’re act isn’t fooling me. You aren’t Tanner.” I crossed my arms and glared at him. “Apparently, you are his alter ego, a spilt personality, so what’s your name?”
“I have no idea what you are talking about”
“Nice try jackass!”
“Hmm impressive, Luxray. Not even Shupple knows about this.” He smirked as he stood up brushing himself off. “Alright well since you asked my name I would love to give it to you, but Tan-Tan hasn’t given me a proper name as of yet.”
“Well that’s fascinating.” I mocked him and gave a slight glare. “Now if you please I would like to have the real Tanner back.” I waved a hand at him, “So please revert back.”
“Just so you know, I admire that you deduced this out, but since you insisted I will let you have him back.” His eyes began to dull, “Besides we are on the same side when it comes to Shupple.”
His head dropped after that and I watched. A few moments later he was rubbing his head and moaning. So was this Tanner or the other guy.
“Gah thanks man, but did you seriously have to hit me down there?” He pushed himself up.
I lifted an eyebrow and chuckled, “Heh, maybe but I got a question what’s Shupple’s boob size?”
His face turned red and his eye light up, “34C!”
Excitement hit me right there. “OMG I thought so from the feel of them!”
“You touched her boobies? Damn I am jealous!” Tanner enviously cried.
Yup it was him but after that little conversation we went back to Estelle who was waiting for us patiently at the bench. She got up and Tanner walked over to her and I sat back down. I watched as Tanner began to go in for the kiss.
It was strange watching this, maybe uncomfortable, because it was me so long ago who gave her that kiss to transform her back. We were child hood friends and when she erased her memories, it was like a dagger to my heart. Nevertheless, this was for the best. Tanner was suited enough to do this and he filled all the qualifications so there was no need to worry.
He brushed her hair out of the way and gently kissed her on the lips, oddly, I turned away. I admit I was the uncomfortable one. The seconds seemed like forever as he kissed her and bright light happened, then it went out. I turned to see what happened, but amazingly enough, as my eyes were shocked, nothing happened.
“Ah, umm…” Tanner looked confused, I couldn’t blame him, and so was I. “It didn’t work.”
“I…I didn’t think so…” Estelle muttered as she adjusted her kimono. “For some odd reason, my stomach was telling me that our relationship isn’t strong enough yet for this to work. Sorry Tanner, but-“ She smiled, “You are a cute kisser.”
“Sorry, I’m, I guess I am lost for words…” Tanner replied looking at her sadly.
Estelle gave him a huge hug and smiled at him and then turned to me. My heart skipped a beat, I think I knew what was coming.
“Lux, I…I don’t know why you hate me so much, but something tells me it has to be you…”
“I refuse.” Maybe it was cold, but I turned the other way.
“Wait please, Lux. I…I don’t know why but I just want things to be the way they were, I want to talk to you. Lupe told me what I did and I want to remember-“
“Regardless of what you tell me Estelle, those memories are nothing more then burnt ashes. It’s not that big of a deal anymore.”
“Lux?!” She cried, “Please, I…I know deep down inside that this has to deal with you! I don’t know why maybe…maybe…”
“Were you the one who kissed her before?” Tanner questioned. I didn’t say anything but was taken off guard as his hair grabbed my foot and dragged me over to her.
“WHOA WHOA WHOA! What the hell?” He placed me in front of Estelle. “That’s a snazzy trick.”
“Hmph whatever, just do this for her.” He said blankly.
“I can’t I am with Hoom now, besides you are her date….”
He didn’t say anything because I believe he understood. However when I turned to Estelle she was already crying. I hated seeing a woman cry, but if she knew how much I cried from her pain, this was nothing.
Estelle whipped a few tears from her face and looked at me with those big sad eyes, “Don’t you care about me anymore Lux? From our fight you told me you loved me…DOESN’T THAT MEAN ANYTHING TO YOU?!?!”
Silence.
I looked down at the ground for the words to say. She was right that I did love her, but the keyword was ‘did’ and it was going to hurt no matter what. “Estelle, you would be accurate about that. I do love you….”
She smiled but I continued, “But I am not in love with you anymore.”
Her face looked like it someone had torn out her heart and thrown it away. I knew those words hurt her but there was nothing more for me to say. Then she pointed at my scare, “What about that? I…have been having dreams, that I don’t understand, incidents that make me remember things, didn’t I give you that scare on your eye?”
My fingers trembled as I touched my eye, I could only smile, “No, Hoom gave this to me.”
“I see…I……” Her head dropped again as the tear works happened again.
“I can’t do it.” I told them once again shaking my head.
Tanner looked again at me, “But-“
“JUST DO IT LUX!”
That was surely a surprised as Tanner and myself turned our attention to another woman, it was Hoom a bit flustered. She walked over to all three of us and gently grabbed my hand and held it tight. “Please Lux, just do it. I know the pain you have been in and I know that you don’t want to do it because of me.” She paused and put her warm hand on my cheek and smiled, “But you know as well as I do you are the closest person who is a male that could reverse this. As much as I dislike the situation, Estelle is my friend too, so please kiss her for me to help her out.”
“Hoom?”
She quickly gave me a small kiss on the cheek to assure me that it was alright. “It’s okay Lux, please do this for her and for me.”
I sighed and turned to Tanner, he only nodded with a smile. There was nothing else I could do, whatever. I walked over to Estelle and placed my hand on her shoulder and she looked up. “Lux?”
Placing my hand on her chin and I lifted it up, “I am only doing this because I can’t stand seeing you cry and because I can see Tanner is devastated, and Hoom treasures your friendship together….so I’ll reverse this for you….it means nothing else….”
Her lips met mine as I gave her that small signature of French, her eyes closed, her hands grabbing tightly onto my jacket, but why were my eyes closed as well? She began to glow, which followed by her fangs coming, however, I felt her grip tighten at my jacket as I held her slightly close to me. I backed away from her as her head was against my chest as her neko ears popped back out. Her transformation was almost complete. Then I heard the most unexpected thing, “L-Lux-kun…”
“Ahh!” My eyes were surprised as I quickly pushed her away from me. She hasn’t called me that since, she….she…she erased her memories….did she have them back? I don’t want to know…. I whipped my lips in disguise from that name…
She blinked and wiggled her ears and turned her face towards me. Tanner was astonished and Hoom only smiled. My heart was hurting again like a bullet to the wound.
“Lux-kun?”
I shook my head and grabbed Hoom’s hand quickly. “Excuse us!” I pulled Hoom along quickly as we rushed through the crowd. I needed to leave I needed to get away from Estelle. Did she get her memories back now? It sickens me that something like that could trigger it all. I am not ready to talk to her, I can’t face her. Why the hell did I kiss her?
Smack!
“Ouch!” I turned to Hoom who was out of breath.
“Didn’t you hear my yelling at you? Were you that lost in thought?” She exclaimed as she stood up. “Wait….” She moved my bangs and adjusted my glasses. “You are wearing glasses now?”
“Yes….I…umm…I guess long story short my eyes haven’t healed so I am near sighted….I know I look like a nerd….” I looked down but she forced me to look back her.
“No, I think it looks very distinguished.” She chuckled but quickly whipped away some water from my cheek…”Lux why…why are you crying?”
I just placed my arms around her and held her close and I placed my head on her shoulder, “I’m sorry Hoom….I am so sorry Hoom….I didn’t want to show you this look because I thought you wouldn’t like it….and….and I didn’t want to kiss Estelle because….I love you so much Hoom….”
