How many of you remember your mothers touch? Probably many of you, however, if you lost her many years ago, could you remember? It’s probable but I won’t deny I don’t remember my mother’s touch, but one thing I won’t forget was her voice and the warmth of a hug she would give me when I was a child. Fortunately for me, Hoom in a way replaced that. A woman I admired and loved with all my heart and I couldn’t thank god for such a better woman to enter my life. Maybe I am weak for crying but she was the radiance of my life.
The warmth of her lips against mine, her touch, her smell, and the way she held me, the feelings were real and I knew that she loved me. To be honest I don’t know why she had me kiss Estelle but I won’t let that get me down.
She would reach out her hand to me to I would grab it with a smile as she leaned in and laughed with me. Such a sweet surrender with her.
“Hoom we haven’t gone on any rides together, do you want to go on any?” I asked her smiling at the stunning Houndoom before me.
She took my glasses off and put them on, “Wow these are strong..” She stammered as I kept her from falling over, “What do you want to go on?”
Stopping and kissing her nose I smiled, “How about something a bit romantic? The Tunnel of Love?”
She took off the glasses and handed them back to me quietly, “Sure.”
We approached and I helped her down into the swan and sat behind her. The gentleman there told us to enjoy the ride. This was a first for me and I assumed for her as well since her first reaction was lean against my chest. I merely wrapped my arms around her and cuddled with her. As we entered the tunnel, the color pink flashed everywhere. Go figure! But the music was setting as I would assume robots were singing love songs and flower petals fell from the ceiling.
“Lux, this is so beautiful. Thank you!” She smiled kissing me on the cheek.
The boat rocked a little as I kissed her on the lips softly, “The best is yet to come.” As I caught a flower from the air and placed it in her hair near her horns.
We continued on the swan boat as I held her hand, I was content with this and I knew I was ready…
Since the pink began to slowly fade I knew what was coming, we were entering the scary part of the ride. That’s when Hoom turned to find a ghost grabbing her. She screamed and grabbed on to me. Then things began to come out of the water, which I even got clingy to Hoom. Then we went down hill quickly as we both screamed on the ride. Zombies came out and she placed her head against my chest shivering.
“Haha these aren’t real Hoom you realize this is just a time so we can be close to each other?” I assured her but forcefully she pushed me over and leaned over me. I blinked with a sly smile, “What’s this?”
“Oh hush…” Yeah….make out session in class….be right back!!! >:3
As the ride came to a close, I think all the fluffy bunnies and flowers came back, but once the swan boat exited I was still laying down as Hoom got out and I was all messed up.
“Sir you glasses are fogged up.” Said the gentleman in charge of the Tunnel of Love.
That was embarrassing but damn Hoom got steamy with the kissing and it had been a long time since I kissed like that. After cleaning them, we decided to get something to drink, smoothies to be exact. The line wasn’t too bad but as we stood there we began to decide what we wanted.
I heard her make a slight giggle. “You know Lux you should get the catnip smoothie.”
“Well that’s prejudice of you Hoom, maybe I wanted the kibble n’bits smoothie?” Of course I was teasing her as she puffed out her cheeks.
“Oh really?”
“Yeah really? I am going to order kibble n’bits just so you can open your mind to many different options. It’s not nice to stereotype me Hoomy dear.” I petted her head.
“Ok then I will get the catnip.” She told me, so I ordered and sat down.
The thought of me having kibble n’bits was odd but I figured I should try it. I didn’t mind it that much. We both began to sip our drinks quietly which was followed by two faces of disgust…
“Hoom…wanna trade?” I was hoping she might because this surely wasn’t my thing.
“Gladly!” OH THANK GOD!!! We quickly exchanged our drinks and drank the other. So much better having my catnip.
“Haha go figure we both try to accommodate the other and this happens. How can you drink that Hoom its just so dry?” I sipped a bit more from mine.
“Hmm, I guess we dogs have better taste buds then you cats.” Oh now she was teasing me and I liked it. “I could ask you the same thing, that’s so sour.”
“My taste buds are just stronger hehehe…” I chuckled.
Once we were finished we were on our way and figured this was the best chance so I took her hand and we walked into a small garden at the festival. We walked along the brick sidewalk, which was had roses at the edges. They were red, white, and pink roses along with willow trees. Some of the smaller trees had lights dangling on them. There were other flower bushes neatly placed as Hoom began to run up to many and smell them. She was so darn cute when she got excited. We passed by a small fountain that had a cupid pouring the water back into the fountain which had lily pads with pink flowers growing on the lowest part, it was so beautiful. There was a pound and a bridge that had vines growing on it with more flowers. It was like a scene out of the secret garden, whoever took care of this garden surely did a great job taking care of it. As we approached the middle of the bridge I wrapped my arms around Hoom and just kiss her neck.
The fireflies were dancing upon the water and the crickets could be heard all around. It was peaceful to say the least.
“This is so beautiful here Lux, it’s nothing like I have ever seen before.” She said in awe. I only nodded and continued to look at her. She turned to look at me and smiled. “You know I haven’t met anyone like you Lux. I love you so much. You are just so wonderful. You know, with everything that has happened I couldn’t ask for anyone better then you. You are everything I ever wanted in my life.”
I gently stroked her hair and had my back of my hand rub against her horns as I smiled at her gently with soft eyes. “And so are you Hoom, you are the best woman I have ever met. No one has ever compared to you.”
She blinked a few times and turned to me with that sincere beautiful smile of hers. Just looking at her was like looking at Sandro Botticelli’s masterpiece, The Birth of Venus. Her entire entity was a work of art and I never second-guessed Hoom since the moment I met her. Regardless of any flaws she had, I looked pass that and looked at what was offered to me, the woman standing in front of me, that woman was an angel in disguise. Her body, her curves, her smile, personality, her touch, smell, warmth, her words, and her eyes just captivated me. It was inevitable to not smile when I was around her.
There was one song that I felt described Hoom in a nutshell, I admired it so much. The song was by Aerosmith, ‘I don’t want to miss a thing.’ This song was how I felt about Hoom everyday. I believe the words were;
I could stay awake just to hear you breathing, Watch you smile while you are sleeping, While you're far away and dreaming, I could spend my life in this sweet surrender, I could stay lost in this moment forever, Where every moment spent with you is a moment I treasure…
Yes, that was the perfect way to describe those feeling of love for her.
“Lux?” Her voice echoed.
“Hmm yes?” I snapped out of thought.
“You are quiet, what wrong?” She asked feeling my forehead, “Are you sick?”
I shook my head and grinned, “Not at all, maybe love struck but not sick at all.”
“Alright. If you say so.”
I took a step back from her, my heart began to beat a bit faster. Time to be a man Lux, its time.
“This festival has been very interesting but are you enjoying yourself sweetheart?” I asked her gently grabbing her hands.
“Yes it has been so wonderful. The pictures, the rides, the kisses, singing, and I can’t begin how much fun I have. It’s been one of the best nights of my life Lux, its sad that its coming to a close. However Lux, thank you so much.”
My hand tightened around her, I have to acknowledge, I was a bit nervous. I took a deep breath.
She tilted her head to the side a bit confused, “Lux are you sure you are alright?”
“Yes I am fine stop worrying so much. Besides I think I am going to make your night better.” I expressed to her. “Did I ever tell you that you are beautiful Hoomy?”
“Many times.”
I chuckled a bit red in the face. I suppose I was blushing, “Of course…”
“Why?” She questioned as the lights and the flowers around us began to dance around us. The site was just beautiful and the time was now.
“Hoom, what I am going to say to you is from the bottom of my heart. I know I haven’t always been your best friend, however, I realized something as I pondered my many thoughts. I realized I love you Hoom. So, if there’s still some room in your heart for me….” I paused and looked into her beautiful red eyes as I began to lower my body to one knee. “You took away so much pain from all the scars I have and made me feel alive again. So here I am now down on one knee, asking you to please be my wife.”
I opened the box before her with my sparkling princess cut ring shinning as her eyes lighted up. “Hoom will you do me this great honor, will you marry me?”
