It's 3:15 in the morning so you all better like this! God took me longer since Danni distracted me on skype lol....not to self don' talk to anyone when posting! xD *snore* Time for bed!

-Lux-
I thought it was obvious that when I am in bed, tossing and turning and telling the kid to “go away” meant I didn’t wish to be disturbed as I was trying to sleep. He poked me, irritated me, and at my final moment I picked him up and dropped him on the floor and went back to sleep. It was a good plan as I buried myself into the covers of my bed to find peace in the darkness. That was until my tail received immense pain.
“AHHHHH!!” Tears quickly filled my eyes and I jumped out of bed close to the ceiling. As I crashed on the bed I turned to Nyarth and yelled, “What the hell kid?!”
That stupid kid’s eyes were big and scared and to make matters worse he began laughing at me. “Nii-san!!! Nya!!!! That was so funny!!! You went like all the way up to the ceiling-nya!!! Hahahaha!!!” He was laughing TOO hard at this. It wasn’t funny, not a damn bit!
I shook it off and quickly held my tail and rubbed it, “I’m so sorry I let him do that, Mr. Tail… I know he’s a meanie, I think so too…It’ll all be okay,” I crooned, and shot him a look.
After he apologized he told me he wanted to go fishing, not sure why but it was surely out of the blue but that was fine. I didn’t mind going fishing since fish did sound extremely delectable for dinner. Once I agreed, we parted ways for a bit as he excitedly went on a search for supplies, I just decided to quickly make a lunch for both of us. As I finished my duties, I awaited for Nyarth outside in the rain.
It was a light drizzle and you could see some patches of sunlight breaking through the clouds. The wind was rather chilly but not too bad, but the change in weather was going to happen. Soon I believed. I just stood there thinking about all the wrongs I had done to Hoom. Sigh.
Nyarth came out and questioned why I was standing outside in the rain.
“I suppose I am enjoying the cold feeling of the sky. It sort of knows my mood…”
He headtilted. “So you are cold-nya? Then why were you standing in the rain?? Cmon, let’s go to the lake and fish-nya!” He tugged me towards the lake, I moved slightly but my eyes were still looking up at the mansion. They caught a glimpse of Estelle in her room. Just remembering what I saw last night, well it wasn’t any of my business anyway.
“Are you thinking about Estelle-chan?” I broke out of my thoughts as I heard him say, “She’s so pretty, isn’t she-nya?”
I simply turned toward the lake and continued walking. “Yes and Tanner is lucky to have her don’t you think?” I ruffled his hair with a grin like older brothers do.
When we got to the pond that was connected to the lake by a small river, I let Nyarth try his hand at fishing while I just enjoyed watching. I took my jacket off and sat in the shade of the umbrella as I watch Nyarth fail at a fishing line. It was humorous actually but I insisted he should try his luck at catching a fish with his hands. At this point, I already took my boots off and rolled up my jeans to my knees to watch him try again, he missed.
“Haha, did your dad ever teach you how to catch fish?” I asked as I slowly walked into the water towards Nyarth.
“No, not really-nya…”
“Hmm… ‘aight, kid come here.” He waded forward to meet me. This was something my old man taught me, a long time ago, and even after my training with my Master. I had perfected the skill, it comes in handy when you live on your own. It was also great for attack too. I bent my knees and let everything around me grow silent. I breathed softly and let my eyes light up, then slowly I let my claws extend as I noticed one fish coming by, this was my chance. Lifting my hand up, I quickly stabbed the water. My hand came out holding a Magikarp.
“WOW-nya!!! That was the coolest!!” He looked like a chibi at that moment, with big eyes and sparkles. It was his turn now!
I threw the fish into our bucket. “Come here, it’s your turn.”
“Will you teach me how to do that-nya??” Silly question, of course I was, and then some.
I told him to get in front of myself, and I held my hands over his and led his hands into the water. A few fish were in the vicinity but it wasn’t the right moment yet, and tried to let Nyarth relax without letting the fish realize their fate. A fish darted by, and when my claws elongated his did as well. We jabbed in unison at the fish and from the slight shock on his face, I could tell he had one, it’s not like I wouldn’t allow him to have one anyway. We brought our hands up and he cheered. “Nya!! I did it!!!”
“You did, and you learned Slash as well!” That was the point I wanted to make, he learned to fish and use Slash. I had to admit I was proud of him.
“Thank you Onii-san!!! That was so cool-nya!!” Without any hesitation, I felt him glomp my legs and I returned the hug as well as I set him down in the water I told him to repeat that 99 more times as I prepared lunch. This would be a good way to train him for accuracy even though he didn’t know that. I heard another splash into the bucket. I lead my eyes to look as a few fish flew threw air and landed in it. At this rate, he surely would be done within no time. Let’s see a little bit of distraction would be good.
“So tell me about your family? I would love to know about them.” I asked on packing the lunch.
“Oh-nya, they’re awesome!! My mom was a Persian-nya. She had the softest creamy fur that a Persian ever had… She had the prettiest voice, and sometimes when I dream I can still hear her-nya…”
The way he smiled when describing his mother just reminded me of my mother who passed on so many years ago. She sounded really sweet and amazing. “Your mom sounds like she was beautiful. And your dad?”
That’s when I had a sweatdrop moment as I looked at Nyarth holding a Magikarp that was twice the size of him overhead. How the hell he could do it was beyond me. “Ohhhh my dad…” His eyes lit up with pride. “He was awesome-nya. He was a Raichu and he is the one who taught me Thunder! He was so brave and strong-nya…I wanna be like him one day-nya!!”
“Oh really? Well come take a break and come eat, lunch is out.”
The kid was surely enthusiastic about learning how to fish but even more so when he was eating. It was actually a blessing to see him just be a kid and have no worries in the world. I never had the experience to have any siblings so for what it’s worth, I was honored to even spend time with Nyarth and learn a little about him. Even as we looked at the clouds and their funny shapes I enjoyed it, until I said something stupid about a Luxray cloud eating a Raichu one.
His ears lowered which told me I said something wrong and there was a long pause while he drank his milk. “Have I ever told you what happened to my parents?”
Shit you said something wrong Lux. “No…” You’re a dumbass!
“Well my mom got captured the same time I did and though I survived the experiments that Team Rocket subjected me to, Mom didn’t and she died there in the lab, I was 9 years old then… and for my dad, one day when I was 8 we were out for a walk and this guy with a Mightyena came up and started battling my dad… the Mightyena attacked my dad and it was terrible, and then all of a sudden the boy threw a black and yellow ball and my dad… disappeared.”
“….So you know what happened right?”
“No, not really...”
From here I thought the best thing to give him was hope because he was captured by a trainer. There was always the possibility that he could meet his dad one day and his father might even be more powerful. Nyarth, he needed that hope that one day his dad would return to him. That much I was certain was true.
We resumed training after lunch as Nyarth continued to catch fish as I cleaned up, a chill ran down my spine. Something was coming but was it the weather or rather something else? My ears twitched as I heard Nyarth count out loud “59….60…61” as he continued to toss fish. I got up and shifted my eyes around, where was it coming from?
Narrowing my eyes, I indentified the problem. It wasn’t obvious, but the river that Nyarth was catching fish in had risen almost 3 more inches then it was earlier. Now if we put that into perspective, that wouldn’t be much, however, an entire river in matter of minutes raising that fast with barely enough water to do something of that magnitude was very unlikely. Something with a massive amount of mass and weight caused it and I knew exactly what it was.
“Yo Nyarth! Good work! You ready for the big boy?” I asked him waiting on the shoreline.
“Big boy-nya?” He questioned as the water began to ripple.
“I didn’t think so, how about you get out of the water, like NOW!” I demanded. It was coming quicker then expected.
Nyarth blinked but it was too late as the water rose behind him and a massive body appeared. I grunted in disgust because this opponent was definitely a superior level to Nyarth. Sneak up on a child, geez.
That’s when the roar came from the massive being, a Gyarados had appeared. Nyarth eyes widened and his jaw dropped. He dropped the fish and stared in fear at the monster before him. His mouth trembled with fear as the attack came down on him. Nyarth was frozen as the fangs of the beast came at him. That’s when I appeared and quickly grabbed Nyarth and brought him to safety.
Lowering Nyarth to the ground the giant monster used a hyper beam attack and I used protect to block. That attack was powerful as the blast destroyed much of the land and blew the trees backwards. I had to take care of this really quick.
“Watch Nyarth so one day you can do this!” He nodded as I took off in a spirit and dodged some of the hydro pumps he fired at me. A fine battle but when it contained the innocence like Nyarth I will not stand by and watch them get hurt, I will end this quickly and swiftly.
A thunderbolt attack with my right claws I swung at the beast he dodged it going by bending backwards, which was usual for a snakelike creature but that’s when I did a round about kick in the head sending the Gyarados flying into the trees. Landing like a cat on the ground, I narrowed my eyes onto the monster as it began to slither towards me with his loud roar. With all the force I could muster it dove at me while I jumped in the air and screamed “THUNDER!”
The entire water serpent was down and electrocuted to a crisp. I landed and eyed my enemy as I noticed I had defeated it! Nyarth dashed over and kicked it then ran behind me and hid behind my leg. “Onii-san….i-is it dead?”
“Yup, we’re fine.” I petted his head and smiled at him. “Though let’s head back and start cooking dinner for everyone. Keep about 25 of the fish and release the rest okay?”
“Hai!” He galloped off and quickly started tossing Magikarp in the water.
Lifting the Gyarados above my head and onto my shoulders and grabbing the lunch box I turned to see Nyarth with the rest of the equipment and wide eyed as ever, “Something the matter.”
“Ahh, umm, can you really carry all of that-nya?” He walked over to me a bit lost in the moment, “It looks heavy.”
“Hmm, oh no sweat I got it!” I assured him with a grin. “Let’s head back.” He agreed standing his distance from the serpent.
Shortly after arriving at the mansion, Nyarth dropped off the fishing supplies and I took the bucket and the Gyarados back into the kitchen and tossed it on the table. Once Nyarth returned we started preparing some ingredients ready such as lemon pepper, olive oil, and some of vegetables. I was planning on turning this Magikarps into a fancy meal served with a delectable vegetables and desserts.
“Okay first we need to cut off all the tails, fins, and heads. Do you think you can do that for me Nyarth?” I asked as I prepared the hot water to boil the fish in.
Nyarth was standing on a stool that helped him reach the counter tops easier. He gulped and stared intently at the fish, “Umm sure…” He held his hands over the fish and gulped once again. He was sweating which was a sure sign that he was nervous. I slowly walked over to him and placed a hand on his shoulder snapping him out of his daze.
I smiled at him and asked him sweetly, “Actually instead do you think you can grab me some salt, pepper, and a bit of garlic from the pantry?”
He nodded and jumped off the stool. “Sure-nya! I can do that!”
As he did that, I stretched my hands out and decapitated every fish and slashed off the fins and tails off as each landed in the garbage in record time. When he turned around from the pantry, I was already done and he let out a sigh of relief.
“Thanks Onii-san!” He smiled as I returned it, it was obvious that he had never killed anything before and I had no intentions for him to do that now and getting his hands socked with blood. I had already killed by his age and if I could reverse the clock and change that, I would have. It wasn’t something I was proud of.
“Hey Nyarth could you begin scaling the fish for me?” I asked, “I have to stir the dressing for the fish to make it a creamy coat for over the top later on.”
“Sure-nya! Easy enough!” He blinked as one of the fish began to move. Then he shook his head and began doing his assigned job.
I could hear the moving as well and turned to see what it was, “NYARTH LOOK OUT!”
The Gyarados head lifted up and let its jaw drop at Nyarth. “Nya-NYA-NYA AHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!” He jumped right out of his skin and clawed his way into the ceiling. I could hear his teeth quivering all he way up there.
I busted out laughing, “Oh Nyarth that’s funny!” I pointed to my tail lifting the head up, “I can’t believe you fell for the oldest one in the book! Hahahaha you jumped so high that you are attached to the ceiling-nya!” I mocked him from what he did to me earlier! I couldn’t stop laughing.
He glared, “NOT FUNNY NYA!” He shouted at me as he let go of the ceiling and began hitting my chest with those soft paws of him, I fell over because it was so funny to me. He continued playfully hitting me as I continued laughing which lead him into tears of laughing too. I wrapped my arms around him and held him for a second.
“Sorry….I didn’t mean to scare you…” All I could hear was him purring so I looked down at him as he snuggled into my chest. I sat up and he only smiled with those big pearly whites. He had already forgiven me. Is this what having a brother was like? Being an only sibling I wasn’t sure but with the relationship that I had with him, I wasn’t ready to trade it for anything else in the world.
After he finished scaling the fish, we noticed that we didn’t have enough servings for everyone so I told Nyarth that I would head to the store for some more ingredients and more food for the mansion since we were low and Estelle didn’t bother to do it. Nyarth pointed out the ultra secret Visa card that Lupe had so I could purchase all the food since our food supply was getting low.
That’s when a new face to both of us entered the kitchen. A purple like cat with spots. Nyarth and I couldn’t help but stare at him as he entered. He stood there frozen for a second then he smiled, “Brothers!”
“THE HELL!?!” I questioned a bit surprised.
He chuckled, “You reaction was great Xio….wait…” He paused and rubbed his chin and his jaw dropped, “Oh you aren’t Xio!”
“DAMN RIGHT I AIN’T XIO I’M INSULTED THAT YOU EVEN THINK WE LOOK ALIKE YOU-” Nyarth jumped on my back and covered my mouth.
“Haha I know right-nya! But no this is Lux!!! He’s actually more mellow then Xio-san!” He giggled in that soft child like tone of his. I just rolled my eyes as he kept his hands over my mouth. “I remember you are Patrick right?”
“Glad you remember, a Purrloin. Sorry I thought you were Xio, nice to meet you Lux!”
I shook his hand in a mannerly way but I hadn’t seen a species like him before. Shaking my head and breaking free from Nyarth grip I questioned him about what he was. He made it clear he was from a region called Unova, which was, were that Delin fellow came from too. He also assured me that more species from that land would be traveling over seas since it was now legit for them to do so. It was all-fascinating and it excited me to know more about them.
However, after a brief talk I remembered I had to leave for a bit to go shopping. I consulted with Nyarth who said he could watch the fish since I had already sprinkled them with lemon seasoning and buttered them and placed them all in pans he would make sure to take them out around 5:00. Patrick said he would help in any way possible since he really liked the idea because 1, he didn’t have to cook, and 2 he could have a lovely dinner with Maria, whoever that was, later on.
Nyarth also pointed out that he could make some really good puffin cakes for everyone which he would make while I was gone. I agreed and asked him if he wanted anything while I was gone and he asked for some sweet berries so he could munch on them later. I assured him I would purchase him a small bucket just for him. With a huge hug and a smile I got put my jacket and hat off.
“Alright I’ll be back later!” I waved to him. “I’m counting on you sport!”
“Okay Onii-chan! I will you can count on me-nya!”
With that, I left the mansion and was on my way! To be perfectly honest, as the day went on, the clouds began to appear in the sky and the winds picked up which chilled the air. Snow was coming soon and it was funny how fast weather can change in our universe. What sucked most of all was dressing like a human. We had two cities near us but with these economic times, it was pretty clear to go to the city that was cheaper which was place not welcoming of gijinkas, the other city was gijinka based. Nevertheless, I did what needed to be done. I just hated wrapping my tail around my leg and having it tucked in. I like having my tail be free and most importantly, I disliked having my ears covered too but it’s all for a good cause I suppose.
Once in the city, I began my journey into the grocery store. Oddly enough, I felt like I was being followed. I began picking up a few things and placing them in my basket, I heard someone cough behind me near the pyramid of cans but when I turned to look, there was no one there. As I walked away and stood at a desk with a list of things and spoke to a man and began ordering a few things which I then purchased with a credit card. That’s when the most obnoxious sneeze took place as all the cans fell down from the pyramid as the store manager began screaming and yelling like a child. I shook it off and found out that everything would be ready around 7 that night. Perfect.
After leaving the grocery store, my next stop was to a book store. I walked towards the bookstore I could see a lady dressed in al black with a scarf on her head and black glasses following me in the windows. I merely chuckled because this was all too familiar, it reminded me of the time with Shupple at the hospital.
I was at the book store for a good reason, it wasn’t to learn how to cook, no, that wasn’t my reasoning at all. With the Yuletide ball coming upon us, I wanted to educate myself on some good dishes to serve and to appeal to everyone’s tastes. PLUS I needed a good book to read so a bought a couple thrillers for late night reading. This would be a good way to clear my mind. I headed to the counter towards that same woman who was following me. I pretended like I didn’t notice her but couldn’t help but smile as I passed her and her whistling ways.
You know if you were planning on following me, you should have at least put on a perfume, or did SHE forget how strong my nose was. “Ma'am, I would like to purchase this book." I handed her one then a few more.
Mission accomplished and yes my so called “stalker” thought she was being clever but she wasn’t, I already knew she was there and I already knew her identity. As I headed back towards the mansion, there was some human’s break dancing to a boom box on the streets performing for some petty cash. I watched for a little bit but couldn’t help but began to feel the music in my body. So dropping my bags on the ground, I jumped right in and copied the moments of them. I did a back flip and spun on my knees. It was amazing at how humans could do this. I was just enjoying myself as we began to dance all together and form like a bit of a break dance.
A crowd formed and with a little help from me, we were able to get some cash in. As they continued I quickly excused myself with a hand shake but got an ass grab from a cute girl. Even though I winked and smiled at her, I don’t think she would appreciate a gijinka like myself. I had no interests in humans anyway.
Instead, I was going to stalk my little follower, which I did. As I followed her, or should I say Estelle? It doesn’t matter, she ended up in an alley. I only watched her from above in those steel ladders from the back of apartments. A couple of guys approached her and I wanted to see how she could handle the situation.
Obviously she was still sick and I knew that from her sniffling and coughing from behind me, but should I really interfere with her escapade? As I watched, it seemed to turn aggressive and I did promise myself if it were to get out of hand I would step in. However, the almighty Estelle slap took place and one of the guys crashed into the garbage cans.
Oh how I didn’t miss her mighty slap of doom! She still had spunk and I admired that.
“Come on Estelle, what are you gonna do now?” I whispered to myself watching intently.
I don’t believe they were aware she was an Espeon. That’s when everything turned ugly. They were ontop of her, drooling over her and undoing their pants and belts.
Anger hit me instantly as I jumped off the place I was above and kicked him off of her. I stood over her for a second, “You…nasty bastards.”
Each man spat on the ground a took a few steps back and I placed my bags on the ground near Estelle. As they adjusted themselves I extended my hand out to her, “Get up.” She grabbed on and I quickly pulled her to my chest and slipped something onto her finger. I had a plan.
“Who the hell are you?” The blonde asshat asked whipping the blood from his forehead.
“None of your damn business.” I growled as I stepped to the side of Estelle.
“Well that girl is ours so beat it punk!” The black hair declared pointing at me. I could see the fat on his arm jiggle. Sick jackasses.
“Sorry but she can’t be yours if she is already claimed,” I smirked crossing my arms.
“What do you mean?”
“Just look at her finger,” I kept my arms crossed but pointed to Estelle, “She’s my wife.”
Estelle blinked and lifted her left hand up and showed them a ring on her finger.
Both of them cringed as I grabbed Estelle, “Since she’s my wife, we’ll be on our way isn’t that right darling?”
She coughed, “Y-yes!”
“Hold it!”
We both stopped, there was no way we could leave without a fight, and I didn’t really want to fight any humans. As we both looked on at the two men, two other men came out from no where and one grabbed me from behind and held my arms in a lock position the other held onto Estelle, then the black hair one kneed me to the gut. I spat up from the pain as Estelle looked on in horror. My glasses went flying off and the blonde one stomped on it and laughed, “Regardless of you both being married, I think its best that we just kill her husband right in front of her. Too bad four eyes, at least you can die knowing your wife is in good hands.” He punched me straight in the face.
Blood was oozing from my lip. I suppose he broke the skin and I could barely see already. I mean close up fine but far away, not so much. I took a few more blows as I was held against my will. 4 against one, I felt like I was getting shafted. But suddenly I felt one of them lift my head up, I was already dizzy since I took this much without batting an eyelash.
“I’m surprised you are still conscious time to change that,” He grabbed my hat but accidently took it off at the same time. “What the hell?” The one holding me took a few steps back as Estelle was dragged to the side.
I wiggled my ears and glared at the three men before me. No need to let this continue.
“He’s a gijinka….aren’t we lucky boys….then she must be one too!”
“A Luxray right? Oh we really are in luck!”
“Get him!”
Standing up and bending forward I did a round kick and hit the first into the next one. Then elbowed one in the face grabbed the other by the head and had his ugly ass face hit my knee. They kept coming like flies as I fought with hand to hand combat with them as I tossed one into the other, punched them, and so forth. I even gave a back kick into the face of the guy who was holding Estelle. They all went down but got back up and attacked me from all angles. I held them off and dodged some blows but thankfully we were interrupted by the sounds of sirens.
“Put your hands up where I can see them!” The officer yelled.
I snatched up my hat and put it on my head and did as I was told.
-30 Minutes Later-
The questioning took a long time but some eyewitnesses that were passing by defended Estelle and my story and the 4 suspects were quickly arrested and put into police custody. Thank Lugia!
“You took a few good blows sir.” The officer told me as he finish writing his report. He then turned to Estelle. “Are you sure you are alright miss?”
“Y-yes! Thank you!” She smiled and then covered her mouth as she coughed.
I sighed and placed my arm around her hip. “Thank you I appreciate what you all have done for her.”
Then the officer extended an envelop to me. “That should cover the damages for your glasses, but tell me, what are you really?”
“I don’t think I follow sir.” I needed to stray away from that topic.
“I recon’ not everyone has red tattoo marks under there eyes, gold eyes, or for that matter, her eyes are lavender.” He lowered his sunglasses. He surely wasn’t an idiot.
I merely pulled my hat up a little bit and showed my ears. “As you can see I am a Luxray.”
“And her?”
“I’m an Espeon.” She stated as she leaned into my side.
“I see,” He turned to me once again, “So just explain to me why you didn’t use your full strength? You are capable so why?”
“Why should I? I could have killed them from my power and I didn’t really want a reason to be arrested.” I was being honest, “It was a unfair advantage and I just didn’t see the point in using such a power against humans since some do not see eye to eye with us.”
The officer nodded and turned around and went back to his vehicle. “Well thank you. At least there are some good gijinkas in the world. You take care now and make sure that ‘wife’ of yours gets better!” Nope, he wasn’t dumb that was for sure and he let us off easy.
I smiled and waved, “Yes sir!” As I pulled Estelle with me as the officers began to clear the area.
I kept my arm around her waist until we were in the clear and stepped in front of her one we were in the park and glared at her, “What in the world were you thinking Estelle?”
“I-I….ano….I just wanted to follow you was all!” She stumbled grabbing her scarf on her chest.
I grabbed both sides of her jacket, “Not what I meant! I want to know why you came outside when you are sick! God I don’t get you sometimes Estelle.” I began tightening her jacket as she watched me, “Do you want Tanner to worry more about you? Geez you will get even more deathly ill if you stay outside.”
She blushed a little, “Sorry, I just….I just…are you worried about me…?”
I flicked her forehead and deadpanned at her, “Stupid girl, of course I was or I wouldn’t have saved your ass back there!”
“Hey you are the one that got your butt kicked!” She puffed her cheeks out, “I’m not a damsel in distress I will have you know!”
“Really is that why they were undoing their pants for you?” I glared then I took a step back and held my head, “GAH you give me a headache sometimes!”
“That’s what a wife does! Gives her husband headaches!”
I blinked and turned to her. Did she really just say that? I reached towards her but she flinched. I just wrapped arm around her neck and placed my forehead against hers and chuckled, “You’d be a pain in the ass wife that’s for sure.”
She smiled, “Yeah you too!” Then she looked back down at the ring and slowly took if off, “Yours I presume? It’s beautiful.”
“Technically yeah, but I was planning on getting my money back since I really don’t need an engagement ring anymore.”
“So this was Miss Hooms?” She glanced over it and looked at all the designs. I guess girls were fascinated in jewelry.
I shrugged, “For about 5 minutes!” I scoffed and placed my hand out, “But it’s mine and I don’t want it so I am going to return it, I just forgot I had it on me and figured to use it for my advantage today…..” I looked her and she was giving me this strange look as she was still flustered, “What’s with that look?”
“Oh…oh nothing?” She smiled. Liar.
“Okay?” Whatever she was acting strange again. “Anyway, we should get you back before Tanner worries about you.”
“But what about the mansion’s food, we still need to go shopping.”
“After your epic fail sneeze I doubt you would be able to return to that store.” I told her as she had a sweat drop moment. “Besides, I already ordered everything.
