-Xio-
We agreed to go to the ball together no strings attached, I had no feelings toward the blonde chick who was walking away from me back to her room, nevertheless, I had feeling of hate and dislike in my mouth from the words she spoke to me. You still care about Kiki… Not at all really, how absurd.
Wanting a relationship is what Haxlia desired, that was fine, it wasn’t going to be from me because I had no interest in pitiful things such as love and romance. As much as I loved the things such as sex and tenderness between two beings, I never wanted to be held down by one person. I am a man who can’t be tamed.
Even as I watched her go, my arm was shaking out of anger, where the marks grew on my arm. I will admit, I do NOT trust anyone and trust for me does not come easily, though I suppose what she calls ‘friendship’ would be beneficial for the time being since I still had much to do. She would be useful to me in the future if needed, that much I was sure of.
The pain started to pierce at my heart as I slammed my door and locked it and grabbed my face as I stumbled over to the dresser. That woman irritated me with so much interigations, what she needed was to look in the mirror at her own flaws. Tsk, she really got to me.
The breathing was getting harder for me as I struggled to open a bottle of rum but I was struggling to reach it as my vision blurred. Damn it, this thing was getting to be more of a pain in the ass then helpful. As I slowly got the bottle open with my fangs, it felt like gravity was pulling me to the floor. Lifting my head to gaze in the mirror, the marks were on the left side of my face and my left eye was pitch black. This disease was slowly moving to the right side of my body.
Without much thought I slammed my fist into the mirror…breathing…letting the blood from knuckles run down the mirror and onto my dresser…I stood there motionless.
Pulling away I licked my knuckles and grabbed the bottle and took a few swings. As much as I liked a good drink of alcohol, this was definitely hard to swallow.
Shower…yeah that’s what I needed to relax and calm down. If you loose control, everyone will be slaughtered here and this place, this mansion, it will seize to exist. I can’t have that, not yet, not before my big plan.
Struggling to take my clothes off and leaving them on the floor of my room and stumbling into the bathroom, I stepped in and undid my hair and let the cold water hit my bare skin. Just listening to the shower soothed me as my marks began to revert back. I stood there with the water starting to warm up for awhile. I just looked at the drain as blood filled the water turning it red. It was merely a flesh wound anyway so it wasn’t that much of a bother.
-Flashback-
“Why are you always so cold Xio?” She asked grabbing my arm and picking me up. “That boy was clearly 3 years older then you! He was 10 and you still beat him up! Why?”
“He started it, he kept saying something about me being a dark Shinx and after awhile I got sick of it.” I told her irritated, “So I shut his big mouth up! What’s the big deal?”
“Where you even listening? He was admiring you for being a dark Shinx and trying to understand what made you different.” She scolded as she leaned in, “BUT you didn’t hear any of that did you?”
“Don’t know and don’t care.” I looked the other away.
“You don’t care?”
“Nope, I don’t.”
“Do you feel anything?”
“No.”
“…No?” She stopped and gazed at me with sad eyes like she usually did when she was shocked. I never clearly understood it back then. “Do you have any emotions?”
“Sure I do! I felt happy seeing him bleed!” I smirked and she quickly slapped the back of my head. “Ouch....geez Lydia....Besides anything else is just a bother.”
“Do you love anyone then Xio?” Lydia asked me stern face. This meant she was serious.
My automatic response was ‘myself’ when I was a kid, though the truth was, I was very much in love with her. I did not even have a good relationship with my own mother or father. I guess I cared, and it hurt to loose them, but the connection I had with Lydia was far greater then what I had with my parents. Maybe it was the pressure to put on me to lead my clan, being the son of the head, a prince…a dark prince at that who was feared and yet glorified…
-End Flashback-
I opened my eyes and wiggled my ears. I could sense a presence nearby. It was getting closer and the intention was to hurt me. Interesting, but with so much anger, you could be definitely be detected easily. I just rolled my neck in a circle as it cracked as I awaited my prey to come near.
As the being approached the closed curtain, I quickly put my hand out and pulled them in slamming them again the wall as the shower poured onto us. I leaned over them and placed both of my hands on their arms to hold them down as I smiled at her.
“Hello...Kiki...” I smirked.
She growled and glared at me, “Xio! L-let go!”
I figured I would tease her, “You sure? Because it seems to me you wanted to take a shower with me. It might be fun?”
She blinked and looked down and looked back up as her jaw dropped a bit. She turned beat red. “XIO!” She tried to break my grasp. “Just let me go NOW!” Her eyes lowered down to my pelvic area.
“What? Never seen a c*** before babe?” Letting go of her right arm and lifting her chin up as I licked my lips, “I see you haven’t, it’s okay…it’s all yours if you want it.”
“AHH!” She was even more surprised but a few seconds later she was even more red and fainted before me. I grabbed her and held her in my arms as the shower poured.
“Guess I over did it. Such a pity. Should have known better that I would be naked…” I carried her out of the shower dripping wet and laid her on my bed as I dried myself off and got dressed in a pair of pants. She was wet too so out of my own amusement, I decided to redress her in my own clothes, tsk a wet bed is never desirable.
As I straddled her and began taking off her clothes, I watched her eyelids move, obviously she was dreaming about something. First her top, then her bottoms, and there before me was Kiki in her bra and underwear…I suppose I was curious but I also wasn’t going to go any further then what I did. So I merely put her in a pair of my shorts and a shirt to keep her wet clothes from causing any more problems for me.
-About 2 hours later-
I was sitting on the window still, shirtless, with the window-cracked open as I smoked watching the snowfall from the sky. The moon was shining bright but the snow made the scenery so much more to look at. The smoke was surely relaxing too until I turned to see Kiki finally coming too.
She opened her eyes and felt the clothes she was in and looked at me disgusted as she sat up.
“W-what did you do?” Her voice shook.
Pulling the cigarette out I snarled, “Don’t look at me like that, I merely changed your clothes.” I scoffed and smirked, “You should honestly be thanking me for keeping you so pretty my dear.”
“I don’t believe you!” She was feeling to make sure I didn’t do anything else. “Did you-“
“Rape you? Oh please…I did no such thing.” I let a breath of smoke out and turned my eyes out the window. “I may like sex, but I wouldn’t lower myself to that. Where’s the fun in sex if you aren’t awake?”
She didn’t say anything for a minute as I continued to smoke. She finally built up the nerve. “Then why didn’t you kill me then?”
“Why? I have no reason to kill you Kiki.” I still paid no attention to her.
“I obviously was here to get you and you could have easily done something to me so why?” Kiki asked looking at me.
“Again, I have no reason to kill you, I am not interested in pitiful tasks when my prey can’t fight back.”
“Then are you with that dragon girl, the blonde.”
“Haxlia? Why you jealous?” I smirked at her.
She chuckled, “Hardly!” Such a bad liar. “So is she your girlfriend?”
“Pfft, not at all. She is merely a friend, I suppose.” I shrugged.
“Then I assume you are going to the ball with her?”
Cleaning out my ears as my cigarette hung from my mouth, “Tsk, what’s with all the questions? We aren’t at a hearing in court are we? But to answer your question, I am only escorting her to the ball as her date.”
“I see.” She looked at me. “It doesn’t matter, she doesn’t know what I know, and I won’t allow you to hurt another Xio. You put on such a fake façade about yourself but you are a monster underneath it all.”
I shrugged because I really didn’t care to listen to her try to tell me who I was when she didn’t really know me herself.
“LOOK AT ME!” She demanded and I turned to her glaring. She shook a bit and pulled herself together. She was putting on the best brave front she could. It had been months since that fateful day but even though she was more powerful, I could still see the weak little girl in front of me. “Tell me why you lied to me, why you used me, and w-why are you so cold?”
Why are you so cold…
Damn it, there she was again in the back of my mind. Why was it whenever I was around Kiki this happened? I hated it.
Tossing my cigarette out side the window, I got up and walked towards her and she quickly tried to crawl off my bed but I forced myself on her and held her down as I hovered over her. “Here’s the better question Kiki, if you knew all that about me, why would you come back? You know you can’t stand a chance with me because one, I am far superior to you in a fight, tactics, and in killing. Two, as much as you hate me and I can see it in your eyes my dear doll, you don’t have the guts to go through with it.” She began crying and I held my claws tighter around her arms. I lowered my face to hers and whispered in her ear, “And three, you are afraid of me.”
“WHY? WHY DID YOU MAKE ME FALL IN LOVE WITH YOU!?!” She cried looking at me. She gasped as bit her lip.
My eyes widen with surprise as I let her go as sat at her feet, “Get out!” I pointed at the door.
“Who was Lydia?” She demanded once again and I punched the bed near her head.
“Get out…” I growled grabbing my face once again shivering. I looked through the gaps between my fingers as I watched her crawl out of my bed and walked towards the door.
She picked up her clothes on the floor and stopped at the doorframe looking over her right shoulder, “I’ll return your clothes later.” She paused as I crunched over as my eyes glowed gold as I watched her. She frowned and spoke again, “I never thought I would hate someone as much as you. This ‘doll’ isn’t done with you yet Xio…”
She left.
-The Day of the Yuletide Ball-
“Come on Xio let’s go already! What’s taking you so long?” Haxlia asked moaning in my bedroom.
I was just finishing up my hair and my suit as I walked out from the bathroom, “Have some patience, it takes time to look this good.” I smirked at her.
She stood up with a seductive smile, “Ohhhh, well don’t you look sexy?” She came to me swinging her hips side to side. “I might just want to eat you up right now?” She grinned.
“I’d like that, but as much as I wouldn’t mind a quickie right now, it took me a while to get ready, but I welcome the opportunity if it still stands.”
“Hahahaha, yeah yeah. But really Xio, where did you learn to tie a tie?” She giggled as she grabbed my necktie.
“What is wrong with it?” I asked as I blinked.
“It’s all uneven, let me fix it.” She began to redo it as I sighed. Within no time she was done. “There even more sexy then before. You know that suit fits you. I love the grey. Plus you look handsome as always with your hair tied up, and you look so different without the bandana.”
“Do I look that different without it? I felt for this occasion that I didn’t need to wear it.”
“No, I think you are hot!” Well that was blunt.
I bowed and extended my hand. “I am glad my dear, but you are stunning yourself.” I kissed it and she rolled her eyes I chuckled, “As much as you hate being wooed by a man, just except it tonight alright? Now shall we go?”
She nodded, “Lets!” She latched on to my arm and we left my room and headed to the grand ballroom.
Once there, many of the other gijinkas were there already making themselves at home. Haxlia and I walked in and were waved over by the damn Dino-nut, Delin. I could only imagine what this night would bring.
