Plans for the Weekend

Two submissions yesterday AND a post today... O.o I don't think I've ever been this active on theO before. ^^'

Anyway, I'll be gone for the weekend. X3 *waves bye bye to everyone* XD I'll be going out of state for my friend's wedding. ^^ I'm the bridesmaid. 8O

I'm in Sydney and I'll be flying to the Gold Coast, which is just south of Brisbane.

See Hiko? States. XP *shot*

(Btw, I'm sure at least some of you have seen the bush fires and floods on the news. The bush fires are just around Melbourne. The floods are in the northern parts of Queensland. Therefore, no where near me. XP)

... I forgot what I was going to write. >.> *scratches head* @.@

Oh, right right. The 13th is the hen night. My friend's planning on going to a strip club. @_@ Help. @_@ At least I'll be staying at her place that night. ^^'

The 14th is the wedding. X3 Then I'll be staying at a motel alone at night. DX I'm freaking out. >.> I've never stayed somewhere alone before. ;_; I'm planning on borrowing a porn DVD from my friend to play while I sleep, to scare all the rapists away. >.>

And I'll be flying back on the 15th. ^^

Half of my suit case is filled with gifts for my friend. @_@ And mum just told me that the handcuffs and leather whip I bought my friend (as a joke) might cause some problems at the airport... Damn... >.>

Father/Daughter Bonding

Dad: Raina, how do I use the TV's remote?
Raina: Shhh... Did you hear that? That's the sound of every male species in the world dying of shock.

EDIT:
I'm at the airport now. A nail file, travel scissors and the sex toys have been taken off me...

The Battle of the MP3's

Cast:

Raina – Yours truly. I mean, seriously. Do I even have to tell you who I am?
Kira – My big brother.
SonicStage – SonyMP3’s software. Uses ATRAC music files.
SonyMP3 – An MP3 I bought about 5 years ago. The model hasn’t been available on markets for at least 3 years.
iRiverE100 – The new MP3 in the neighbourhood.

Act 1

SonicStage: Your music device is out of date. Please install updates to it.
SonyMP3: I’m not out of date!
Raina: It says you are, so I’m going to update you. SonicStage, what do I have to do?
SonicStage: First, delete all of the current files. Then install updates.
Raina: OK...
SonicStage: Deleting all 95 files.
SonyMP3: All files have been deleted successfully.
SonicStage: Installation has also been successfully completed.
Raina: Yay! Right, now I have to transfer my music files again...
SonicStage: Error... Error... There isn’t enough space on SonyMP3 for that song.
Raina: What do you mean? I just deleted everything.
SonyMP3: I feel sick...
SonicStage: It’s full. I can’t even fit one song in there.
Raina: Eh!? Hang on, let me check inside you, SonyMP3.
SonyMP3: No really, I think I’m going to be sick.
Raina: ... SonyMP3, you have 77 untitled songs inside. What are these? *presses Play*
SonyMP3: File Error! This music file cannot be played.
SonicStage: ... You’re joking.
Raina: ... He better be joking!
SonyMP3: I’m not joking I’m--- File Error! File Error! File Error!
SonicStage: Quickly, hit Reset!
Raina: *hits Reset*
SonyMP3: Successfully reset.
Raina: You still have those 77 untitled songs.
SonicStage: Reset again?
Raina: I am, but it’s still not working.
SonyMP3: Error! Error! Error! Error! Error!

Act 2

Raina: Big brother, guess what! I bought a new MP3 and I’m just downloading the software right now.
SonicStage: What!?
Kira: Software? MP3 players shouldn’t need a software.
SonicStage: Exactly. And besides, I’m working just fine --- wait, what?
Raina: Ah, but this one has a video player and a text reader. Introducing: iRiverE100~!
iRiverE100: Hello, nice to meet you.
SonicStage: What!?
Kira: What happened to your old one?
Raina: SonicStage killed it.
SonicStage: I did not!
Kira: Oh yeah, Sony is cheap.
SonicStage: No I’m not!
Raina: Yeah, Sony’s only good at making earphones.
Kira: Lol.
SonicStage: What!?
Raina: OK I’m done. Now what?
Kira: Transfer the songs, of course.
SonicStage: No wait! What about me!?
Raina: Kya~! This is exciting.
Kira: Lol, I know.
iRiverE100: Transfer is complete, Raina.
SonicStage: Wait, no! Stop!
Raina: Thank you, iRiverE100... Hm, my computer’s running real slow now.
SonicStage: Yeah, that’s right. Inferior crap software.
Kira: You just restart the comp, and it should be fine.
Raina: Oh~... Done. Yay! It’s working just like before.
SonicStage: ...
iRiverE100: Do you still need SonicStage?
Raina: No, I don’t. I should uninstall it.
Kira: If you do, then that will give you more space on the comp.
SonicStage: No, I barely take up space. You don’t need to uninstall me. *hides the Uninstall button*
Raina: SonicStage, you’re as hard to kill as a cockroach.
Kira: Here, try this. *gives an online tutorial about uninstallations*
Raina: Thank you, big brother!
Kira: Anything to kill a cockroach.
SonicStage: NOOOooo~~~...
iRiverE100: Uninstallation complete.

Mother/Daughter Bonding Part 8

Mum: You know you were so rude, sitting in front of your laptop while I entertained our guest.
Me: What? I didn’t know I had to talk to her. She’s your friend.
Mum: No she isn’t. She’s too young to be my friend.
Me: Well, you met her first. You have her number, I don’t. And she only came today to return a book you lent her.
Mum: But I thought she could be your friend.
Me: She’s not my friend.
Mum: Well she’s not mine...
Me: ...
Mum: ...
Me: ...
Mum: What do you want for dinner?

No longer loopy

There are times when fear is good
It must keep its watchful place
at the heart's controls. There is
advantage in the wisdom won from pain.

~Aeschylus

I come to post on the wisdom I gained from the pain of having wisdom teeth taken out... Lol

Raina's do's and don'ts after having your wisdom teeth removed:

  • Don't let my mother spoon feed you. She takes big spoonfuls and tries to stuff it into your mouth even before you can swallow the previous mouthful. Best way to handle this is to make her swallow the mashed food without chewing. Once she chokes, she'll let you feed yourself.
  • Do make the first solid food you eat, a dark Ferrero Rocher chocolate, as a treat to yourself... Even if it takes you half an episode of Blood+ to eat it.
  • Don't go hunting for mosquitoes in my bedroom. Looking up at the ceiling for a mosquito really hurts. In fact, don't sleep in my room at all. That room is like a gathering place for all bugs that either bite or sting... Which explains why my ex used to like being in there.
  • Don't let anyone hug you. People tend to forget that you had surgery coz they can't see the stitches... It's how mum's shoulder rammed into my cheek.
  • Don't let my cat, Luna, try to get a kiss from you... She has a habit of head butting your mouth for a kiss.
  • Don't read books while taking your medication. You'll be so dizzy that it feels like you're reading on the back of a moving bus... An exception to this is if you think vomit stain would be an improvement to the cover of "Rendezvous at Kamakura Inn" by Marshall Browne.
  • Do enjoy the hallucinations caused by your painkillers. They're your Dungeons and Dragons X Olympics X B grade horror home entertainment.
  • Do use your surgery as an excuse to spend a quiet time at home. Even try to schedule the surgery on the week of a special occasion to keep annoying relatives out of your house... This is not guaranteed to work on my family.
  • Do keep your phone close by, so that you can send the occasional "Loopy~!" text message to a friend.
  • Don't be afraid of The Syringe.
