Hello there. Welcome to my world of Random Thoughts. In this world I’ll be posting stuff about anime and manga. Not to mention various other topics. I may post the occasional music video every now and than. And from time to time, I’ll just talk about my life in general. But first, here are a few things about me.

I was born an only child, for one thing. Originally I was planning to go into art professionally, but recently I’ve been more inclined towards writing. I still do the occasional wallpaper every now and then though, and I also still draw a little. But much of my energy these days goes into writing fan fiction. I’ve also recently become interested in archive and library work, which is something I’ve discovered I’m good at. Finally, like most people on the Internet, I like cats.

Food for Thought

Hello everyone. Earlier today I came across this article on the Anime News Network that kind of made me stop and think. So I thought I'd go ahead and share it here with everyone. So if anyone's interested, please go to the article by clicking t...

Cthulhu: Cute or Frightening?

Hi again everyone. I hope everyone's having a relaxing Sunday. My Sunday afternoon could be a little better, since I just had a rough battle with technology involving this meeting with my online class I had to "attend".

Anyway, I have kind of a random question to ask everyone in order to satisfy my curiosity. So a while back, a friend of mine and I were talking about the Yu-Gi-Oh! cards based on Cthulhu Mythos deities that were being released in Korea. And when I mentioned Cthulhu to her, she said (and this is not an exact quote), "Oh, I've heard of Cthulhu. I think he's very cute."

I was not expecting that kind of response. I mean I've always thought of Cthulhu as being the personification of horror from the deep ocean. That's been my way of thinking ever since I saw the silhouette of that one Digimon based on Cthulhu at the end of that one Digimon Adventure 02 episode. The image sent kind of a chill down my spine.

So now I'm curious to know. Does anyone else think that Cthulhu is cute, or do most people see him as frightening?

If any of you reading don't know what Cthulhu is, Google it or CLICK HERE.

Just Found Out

I just found out a little bit ago from stararnold's world that today is Sailor Moon Day. If I had known that, I would've attempted to do something special like put together a Sailor Moon wallpaper or something. Ah well. Guess I'll just try and remember this little holiday next year. Actually this month is when I traditionally read the original Yu-Gi-Oh! manga. As of today, I'm up to Volume 16 (aka, Yu-Gi-Oh! Duelist Volume 9). Next month though I'll be doing what's become my annual reading of the original Sailor Moon manga.

Anyway, happy Sailor Moon Day to all!

Artistic Frustration

Hello again everyone. My main reason for doing this post is to just kind of let everyone know how I'm doing. I'm also doing this because there's not a whole lot on T.V. at the moment besides Mysteries at the Museum. Though that is an interestin...

A Shocking Sight

Hello all. I just wanted to share something that I saw in my front yard earlier this evening. So I'm sitting on the couch reading something on my computer, and out of the corner of my left eye I see something kind of big jump up at the bird feeder we have out front. I turn my head, and the bird feeder is swinging and I see a grey cat trotting off with a bird in its mouth. It's actually this neighborhood cat that lives at this house just down the street from where I am. He's kind of been hanging around our yard for the last few months, mostly because of the rabbits we think. Of course it seems the other reason this cat hangs around is that we have-low hanging bird feeders, which my dad is going to have to do something about.

I apologize if anyone found this little story a little on the gruesome side. I simply wanted to share that little incident with everyone.
