My Random Thoughts

Hello there. Welcome to my world of Random Thoughts. In this world I’ll be posting stuff about anime and manga. Not to mention various other topics. I may post the occasional music video every now and than. And from time to time, I’ll just talk about my life in general. But first, here are a few things about me.

I was born an only child, for one thing. Originally I was planning to go into art professionally, but recently I’ve been more inclined towards writing. I still do the occasional wallpaper every now and then though, and I also still draw a little. But much of my energy these days goes into writing fan fiction. I’ve also recently become interested in archive and library work, which is something I’ve discovered I’m good at. Finally, like most people on the Internet, I like cats.

I'm Back!

Greetings everyone. I'm not sure if anyone noticed, but I wasn't here on TheO too much yesterday. The reason is because at about 2:36 AM yesterday morning I was barfing into a trash can. No, I don't have a virus. It's generally believed that I just ate something that didn't agree with me at Christmas. I probably OD'd on chocolate. So yesterday I wasn't feeling too good. I'm actually much better today, although my stomach still feels a little sensitive.

Anyway, in my last post I said I'd talk about what happened Christmas evening. It was actually a great evening, it just ended on a sour note. It was some time after dinner at my grandma and grandpa's house, and for some reason we were talking about sports mascots. My dad and my step uncle (and I call him my step uncle because I don't want people to think we're related by blood) had gotten into a debate on the subject. These debates were something that happened often when my dad and step uncle would meet. This time was a little different though. As the debate went on, it got more and more heated. Everyone else had fallen silent. Finally, my step uncle accused my dad of calling him an idiot (which my dad didn't do) and stormed out to take a smoke (which I wish he wouldn't do).

My aunt went out to talk to my step uncle, and like a minute later my dad went upstairs to get a drink of water. The rest of us could hear my step uncle yelling from outside. A minute or so later, my step uncle returned from outside and sat back down on the couch. It was clear that he was just going to sit there pouting for the rest of the night though. So my dad and I decided to leave. So the evening didn't end well. Later that night though, my step uncle instant messaged my dad on Facebook and apologized. So I guess I turned out well. That's pretty much it. I hope everyone else's Christmas ended on a better note.

Well, another Christmas has come to an end. I hope everyone had a Merry Christmas. I pretty much did, though my evening didn't end too well. I was having a great day until that point. I'm not going to say what happened right now. That'll wait until tomorrow (if I decide to talk about it at all). For now though, I'm gonna sign off. I probably won't be back until tomorrow afternoon. Until then I plan to unwind by watching Enter the Ninja, and Arachnophobia (two of the movies I got today). So until tomorrow afternoon, Merry Christmas to all, and to all a good night.

Which Is Better?

I could use an opinion on something. Recently I did a remade version of a wallpaper I submitted a month or so ago.

I used what I think is a better texture for the remake. Plus I scaled it down more so you could see more of the original image. The remake looks more how I originally envisioned this wallpaper looking. However, the remake so far isn't as doing as well as the original is. Then again, I only submitted it yesterday. Still, I have been wondering if the remake really is better than the original. So I'd like to know what others think. Is the original really better, or is the remade version really as good as I thought it would be?

The Next Level

Well, I think I've achieved a new level of wallpaper making expertise. I've recently learned how to create textures better, something I've never really figured out how to do well. That's recently changed however, so a lot of my future wallpapers should look better than ones I've made in the past. Also, don't be surprised if you see a lot of my wallpapers being remade. It's not that I don't think that looked good, it's just that I think that some of them could look better. Anyway, I'm feeling pretty good about my skills at the moment.
