Too Tired for a Title

Good evening everyone. Just thought I'd do a post to let everyone know how I'm doing. Some of you reading might've noticed that I've been a little more active here on TheO these past two or three days. For one thing I've started this new wallpaper challenge. I also finally made a new wallpaper, which you can see below.

As for my current state though, I'm actually feeling a little burnt out (as the title of this post implies). Of course I'm sure part of it has to do with the fact that I spent a good chunk of the afternoon mowing the lawn. That usually takes a lot out of me, especially on these hot summer days. But I think I've kind of reached a state of mental exhaustion. It's been kind of a rough month for me due to various reasons. For one thing, my current online class seems to be passing by at a breakneck speed. Of course that has a lot to do with the fact that class is only ten weeks long and I've only just finished Week 5.

As a result of all this though, I've kind of lost the enthusiasm for a lot of my current writing projects. I've also pretty much hit a wall in regards to ideas for new projects. I've pretty much just been spinning my creative wheels for the past couple weeks. There's actually this one older fanfic idea of mine that's still in the outline stage, and I've tried getting back to work on it but I keep hitting these roadblocks. In case anyone is wondering, the fanfic I'm talking about is a crossover between Code Geass and a little anime some might know by the name of Shattered Angels. Wild idea, right? Try wrapping your heads around how that would work. I only wish I could get past the writer's block I have with that story so I could put it online, though I get the feeling that it probably wouldn't get a lot of followers on FanFiction.Net.

Anyway, I'm not really sure what to do about this burnout of mine. Maybe I just need to take a break from writing all together for a week or two. Just put all my projects on a temporary hiatus for a few weeks and just try and recharge my batteries. At the very least I'm going to take tomorrow off. Theoretically, my dad and I are going to go see this exhibit on Ancient Egypt at this one museum. That should be a pretty fun event. Plus tomorrow night is another evening of Toonami, which means the next episodes of Kill la Kill and SAO 2.

That pretty much wraps it up for this post I think. There was something else I was going to mention, but I sort of forgot what it was. Further proof of how worn out I am at the moment. So, until next time.
