The Christmas of 2016

Hi everyone. Well, since I have a couple of extra hours, I've decided to go ahead and tell everyone about how my Christmas went. Before I get into that though, I think I should do an update regarding my last post. Some of you might recall that my grandpa went into the hospital over three weeks ago. I'm sorry to report that my grandpa died last Tuesday night. I don't know all the details about how it exactly went down, and quite frankly I'd prefer not to know. I think at the time though, there was a part of me that was relieved it was finally over. I mean we all pretty much knew that there was nothing that the doctors could to do help my grandpa. The funeral for my grandpa is going to be this Saturday on New Year's Eve. It is a pretty depressing way to ring in the new year, but then I've always kind of found that holiday to be a bit depressing no matter what the circumstances.

Anyway, that's the story with my late grandpa. Sorry for opening this post with such a depressing topic. As for my Christmas, it turned out to be a pretty fun event. It was kind of a gloomy Christmas though, but that had nothing to do with my grandpa's death. Rather than snow, my little town was hit by rain, some strong winds, and even a little bit of thunder. Plus the temperature was around 60 degrees, which was just... wrong! I mean the 25th of December, for crying out loud! It shouldn't be that warm on Christmas day unless you live down south or in Hawaii.

Weather conditions aside though, today was still a great day. My dad and I had a fun time over at my aunt's this afternoon. We also had a nice lunch in the form of a roast that wasn't all that bad. Maybe a tad dry, but still pretty good. I only wish that my Christmas dinner was just as nice, but all I had was a microwave pizza. As for gifts, I unfortunately didn't get the anime series that I asked for. It wasn't a big deal though, since it turns out I can stream that anime from Crunchyroll. I at least got almost all of the books that I asked for. All things considered, this was probably the best Christmas that I could've hoped for this year.

That pretty much wraps it up for this post. To close things, here's a Christmas-themed picture of Yugo and Rin from Yu-Gi-Oh! ARC-V that I found while browsing Zerochan earlier this afternoon.

Those two had somehow better end up together at the end of ARC-V, otherwise I'm going to be even more ticked off than I was when I saw the ending to Gurren Lagann.
