Reckoning of the Kings Introduction

The Reckoning of Kings

Connected to Aizen's idea of a seraph...

Aizen has tipped the balance of the worlds with his work with the Hyougyoku and before that, his rebellion. And when the balance is greatly threatened, the higher powers, the Gods rarely seen by any eyes, take a hand in resetting it. Such an occurrence has taken place before, after the Quincy war resulted in the near eradication of their race...

Beings - not really souls, human, soul bringers, arrancar, or hollows, but creations between all of the above and not all the same - begin wrecking havoc on all the worlds. Strange weather, disease, new chemical reactions, disturbances, strange sightings, and unexplained deaths and life build up. When the destruction reaches the point of disaster, a message is given to each leader (King).

(Those who are most knowledgeable of the three groups could find (or recall) some hints to what's coming in their stores, or it can come as surprise. For example, some archives, vague, seem exaggerated, or missing details, remain in Seireitei from the that Juushiro Ukitake (and Shunsui Kyouraku) will find and examine before the message as most search for the "traitor in the wind". They won't report anything however until they are sure. )

The messengers cannot be killed.

The discovery of a seraph is impossible. It shows that the worlds' imbalance has become so great that without interference it will collapse. The chance to repair it has come and gone. The Gods will now take control, cleanse and begin the shaping of the worlds. Games will appear, each with its own guardian, specific rules, and certain purpose, some to destroy, others to heal, some to teach, others to take away. In the chaos created, when the elements necessary have been assembled, a kingship key will be created, the final piece to restore the balance. The rite to King will be governed by a rite of passage shaped by both the Gods' and your own wishes, and winning the rite of King will shape the worlds until the next age. When a balance has been met, the death will end and the dawn will begin.

It's a battle between them all, both for survival, and to set the new power structure, perhaps even right wrongs from the past.

Details:

Some of these beings can be killed or captured. Others cannot. Some are weak and will surrender to their captors, some will not. Some of the rules will become clear once the ranks of creatures are set up. But that only goes so far. For every rule, there is an exception.

Nothing is what you want to be or as it appears.

I can be the main person for as long as this goes on, a dungeon master, so to speak. I set the tasks or danger and people play it out. And I set the next board/rules.

I like using Nnoitra's thief as one of the first signs that the reckoning is coming. He can decide how long his thief sticks around. Most likely, when the disaster strikes, he'd be gone.

As the Reckoning continues, some relics of the last Reckoning will become clear, for better or worse. (Hint for one example to appear: powers in people altered or tainted).
