This is an outline of the full Reckoning without all the small details, for the new members that join us along the way. After sending it to nearly half a dozen people, I thought it would be a good idea for everyone to have access to it. There is a link at the bottom to the Q & A section of the world as well.

The Reckoning of Kings, which is my idea, is connected to Aizen's idea of Kita being a seraph.
Aizen tipped the balance of the Realms with his work with the Hougyoku and his betrayal. The already shaky balance is further scewed by Aizen finding and transforming the seraph, or Kita. When the imbalance has become so great that it will collapse without interference, the Gods, higher beings rarely seen by mankind take a hand in resetting it.
There has been a Reckoning in history before, when the Quincy War resulted in the near eradication of their race... Some people from each Realm will have knowledge they can call on to help them survive or pass the Games set by the Gods. Kisuke Urahara posted about an ancient journal, that is believed myth. Juushiro and Shunsui Kyouraku lived through it (and may have their own scars from it). Finally, Aizen's search for power may have led him to the ancient records in Soul Society (someone ripped pages from the journal Kisuke has), and he changed Kita the seraph for his own goals.
A rumor that Yama-ji heard and sent Toshiro to correct if true.
The Gods' purpose is not killing Aizen. Sorry, that's our job~ The Gods are putting their mark on the Realms again through their sheer power and ultimate knowledge. When they have completed THEIR goals, they will create a KINGSHIP quest and return to their land.
The Gods their own rules and agenda, and their brutal assault of the Realms is a Reckoning of survival for those below them, which include the hollows, soul reapers, and the humans (basically all of us). In order to preserve some life, the Gods will create Games, each with their own rules and guardian(s), for the Realms, thus slowly cutting away what can be cut without destroying the whole. It's like a tower of bricks. You pull out as many pieces as you can without letting it fall. That is how the Gods view this Reckoning. The Games can be of survival (from a disaster), combat, deadly games of wits, etc. Other Gods will reach deeper, testing the spirit, and some Gods will pass through to heal.
The Gods will be as varied as gods in world mythology.
At this point, the Gods have not made a real appearance. They won't appear until I unleash a DISASTER, followed by an immortal messenger. AFTER that, more obvious Games and Gods will appear. NOW, the Gods may be in the shadows, whisper to people, and you may sense a disturbance; however you won't find proof. The point at this time for the Gods is to make you nervous and stir up trouble, test the waters, so to speak.
At the moment, we are at level one. The characters are likely to come out of the mischief created mostly unscathed. There will at least three levels of danger before I unleash the disaster on each Realm. Each increase in level will mean both more kinds of chaos and a rise in the danger level. I will also consider what stories are coexisting with my idea.
(For example, Aizen has pushed his agenda forward in regards to Kita and Zesshin (Toshiro) and Juushiro is doing something quiet with Tsukiro.)
A schedule of posting dates will be made that has deadline of a post connected to the chaos or danger I gave. The details won't be public but given in a PM so everyone is surprised when the post occurs.

You're victim of chemical changes. A part of the hall's arch falls on you and something crumbling off the wall part starts eroding your headpiece. The spoon is melting. What will you do? Can you find the right solution or will you only make it worse?
Write a post describing the event and your reaction/ search to find a solution.

There will be penalties for lazy posting. If you are busy in RL, send me, or another of the leaders, a PM and I'll consider that when I schedule new posts.
In addition, there will be a grace period, about a two or three day bubble, for you to post your part.
